----------------------------------------------------------

Skadi sat idly in front of the courtyard, staring blankly at the sky.

She had been in this state for the past two days, because there was really nothing to do.

No, she should say she had been in this state from the very beginning.

"I wonder if that child has entered that person's territory yet?" Skadi muttered to herself.

She suddenly regretted it. If she had known it would be so boring, she would have gone for a ride with Asher.

Although they were on official business.

But if she had gone with them, she could have helped a

little.

Yes, just a little.

Skadi had noticed while helping Asher before that she seemed unable to casually use large amounts of magical power. This was probably the price for crossing myths to come to this world.

But it didn't matter. With that woman and that goddess here, nothing could go wrong anyway.

If anything, only Asher himself would be in trouble.

...Like being quintupled, for example.

"Eh?" Skadi suddenly let out a surprised sound, looking at the young man walking towards her from afar.

"You're back so soon?" she asked in confusion.

Asher sighed, "Something came up, so I came back early,

but I've already figured out the method of blood projection."

"Quite efficient, I thought you'd be delayed there for several days," Skadi said.

"I'm quite surprised too, but I'm sorry, I don't have time to confirm the identity of that thing inside me right now. I have other matters to prioritize."

Skadi looked at Asher's grave expression and smiled casually. "It's fine, please proceed."

She had long been accustomed to waiting. Days, years,

all passed in an instant for her.

"However, don't neglect guiding your magic," Skadi said.

"You want to become stronger too, don't you?"

"Don't worry, I do it every day," Asher said.

"That's excellent," Skadi nodded with satisfaction. "It wasn't a waste of my effort and expectations."

Asher said nothing.

He wasn't guiding his magic for Skadi's sake. If anything, he himself wanted to become stronger, and on the other hand, he wanted to surprise his Shishou.

Although he felt it was unlikely to surprise his Shishou.

"By the way, where's Uathach?" Skadi looked beside Asher but didn't see Uathach.

"Sister went back to her room first, saying she wanted to rest," Asher said. "Her stamina is too poor."

Although Uathach had a good talent for magic, her physical stamina had always been subpar. It had been like this since before. Of course, this wasn't innate; she simply hadn't trained much later in life.

This meant Uathach was destined to be a physically frail mage.

"Where are you going?" Skadi asked, looking at Asher walking towards the long corridor.

Asher stopped and said, "To be on the safe side, I need to send messengers to various places to invite the kings."

Although he thought nothing would go wrong with Lily, he still felt a bit uneasy. It would be safer to send someone else to the kings' territories.

"Alright, then go do your business," Skadi nodded. "Oh, by the way, your illusion needs to be dispelled." Saying this, she raised her staff, and a light fell upon Asher, dispelling the illusion on him.

Asher turned and walked into the government office.

After Skadi watched him leave, she thought for a moment, then walked towards Uathach's room.

...

By the time all the arrangements were handled, night had fallen. Asher returned to his room and, as Skadi had instructed, began guiding the magic within his body.

He hadn't even worn out a single one of Skadi's staves yet. At this rate, it would probably take a long time to guide all of them.

However, Asher knew that this kind of thing couldn't be rushed; he had to take it slowly.

Although it was already time to sleep, Lily and Lancelot were likely still on their way to King Odgerin's territory. Asher felt a bit restless for some reason. Instead of lying in bed and staring blankly, he might as well continue guiding his magic.

The night passed unknowingly.

The next morning, Asher stretched his limbs and walked out of his room.

Then, upon seeing the sky outside, Asher couldn't help but be stunned.

For a moment, he thought it was still night.

Yesterday had been sunny, but now when he stepped outside, the sky was as dark as night.

The sky was pitch black, and a cold wind mixed with dense raindrops hit the lawn. Many patches of grass were turned over, emitting the smell of soil.

Boom!

A branched lightning bolt suddenly tore through the darkness, and thunder roared across the sky, as if the floodgates of heaven had opened, and torrential rain poured down.

"This weather couldn't have come at a worse time," Asher muttered, looking at the ground, which was a blinding white from the rain.

"In such weather, I'm afraid the messengers' arrival time will also be affected." A cold, eerie voice came from behind him.

Asher turned to look: "It's Sir Agravain."

"Thank you for your hard work yesterday."

"It's merely a trivial task," Agravain shook his head, then looked up at the rain curtain outside. "Lancelot should be back soon, right?"

"Probably," Asher said.

"I'll go continue my work, Arthur," Agravain said.

Asher nodded, his gaze returning to the rain curtain outside.

He felt the palace suddenly become much quieter.

Shishou had temporarily left to deal with matters in the Land of Shadows, Sister Morgan was also in Avalon, and Lily had gone to King Odgerin. The vast palace suddenly became much quieter, yet it also added a few touches of loneliness.

The rain fell all day long, showing no sign of lessening.

Without a clock, it was even impossible to tell if it was day or night.

"Is it my imagination?" Asher muttered to himself.

For some reason, he had a restless feeling.

Logically speaking, a whole day would have been enough for Artoria and Lancelot to make a round trip, unless they stopped to rest midway last night and only set off again at dawn.

Just wait a little longer.

Asher stood with his hands behind his back in front of the courtyard, quietly looking at the rain curtain outside.

"Ash." Uathach had come up behind Asher at some point

and lightly patted his shoulder.

"Oh, it's sister. Don't suddenly call out to people, you startled me," Asher said helplessly.

"I've called you several times, you just didn't hear me," Uathach complained with a sigh. She walked over and sat beside Asher, tilting her head to ask, "What are you thinking about?"

"Nothing, I just feel a bit uneasy," Asher shook his head.

"About Lily?" Uathach reached out, raindrops hitting her palm. "If you were so worried, you should have just told her not to go yesterday."

"If I really didn't let her go, I'd need a reason, otherwise she'd definitely be unhappy, and she'd think I kept her for personal reasons," Asher said.

"That's true," Uathach nodded, then sighed again. "But since you're so worried, you might as well have kept her from the beginning. I just don't understand you."

"This is probably like how Shishou initially didn't want to send me out for outdoor training, but eventually sent me out anyway, right?" Asher said, rarely smiling towards the end. "If you always stay indoors, you'll never grow."

"Hmm, so you treat Lily as your child?" Uathach asked after a moment of contemplation.

Asher's expression was slightly peculiar. He recalled what happened the night before the soft lips and skin sensation were still clearly remembered.

Rather than treating Lily as a child, it was more like treating her as...

Asher quickly shook his head, not answering Uathach, but instead said, "You go back and rest first, sister."

"I just came out after resting, and you're telling me to go back and rest again?" Uathach glared at Asher irritably and snorted, "Sister won't bother you anymore. I'm going to play with Sister Skadi again."

Saying this, she ignored Asher and left the courtyard, looking displeased.

After Asher watched Uathach leave, his gaze returned to the rain curtain outside.

Until night fell, Asher finally couldn't sit still any longer.

"Someone, prepare the horses," Asher said to a nearby attendant.

He felt his intuition must be correct. Morgan had taught him prophecy, and while this prophecy had turned into an ability to foresee danger, it also gave him a certain premonition.

"My King, where are you going?" Gawain's surprised voice came from behind him.

Gawain had also been waiting for Lancelot's news since morning. Some others had gone to the kings' territories to invite them, while some were busy with government affairs or military training.

And while waiting, Gawain had also been busy with administrative activities. Now that he was done, his patience was almost at its limit.

"I feel something strange. Logically, he should have arrived by now," Asher said, looking at the attendant rushing to the stable in the rain. "Sir Gawain, if Sister Morgan comes out, you are to notify her."

Gawain was stunned for a moment, but still bowed his head and replied, "Yes!"

The attendant led the horse over. Asher was about to step forward, but then, the sound of hooves suddenly came from afar.

Accompanied by a horse's whinny, a man fell off his horse, clutching his arm. Asher rushed forward in the rain to help him. "Who are you?"

"Princess Morgan sent me to monitor King Marco..." The man coughed blood as he spoke, his words fragmented.

"Last night, King Mal... Malco's army marched towards King Odgerin's direction... and with them..." He coughed up another mouthful of blood, raising his heavy eyes.

"With them were foreign troops."

Asher's face changed slightly. He turned and said, "Gawain, send him to my sister. She'll help treat him.

Then, inform everyone else to prepare and head to King Odgerin's territory. Also, leave a contingent of men to guard Camelot."

He should have realized it sooner. Why would Lancelot get such crucial information so easily? Because he had been detected even before Lancelot stepped into King Marco's territory. This news was simply a smokescreen to mislead them!

...

As he stepped out of the courtyard, Asher saw an unexpected figure in front of it.

"Arthur, take me with you," Guinevere said, staring at Asher.

"It's too dangerous. You stay here," Asher said, not even looking at her, walking past her.

"I know where they're going!" Guinevere called out to him.

"If it's a sneak attack, they won't take the usual route.

When they leave, they won't take the usual route either."

Guinevere walked behind Asher and grabbed the hem of his clothes.

"Calm down, Arthur," she said, looking at Asher who had turned to face her, revealing a reassuring smile.

"You're not yourself right now, calm down. Then, I'll take you."
