"King Leodegrance, I've said all I have to say," Lancelot bowed slightly. "Feel free to ask any questions you have."

"Sir Lancelot, I generally understand what you're saying, but there's one thing I find very strange," King Leodegrance said. "Even if King Marco recruits more troops, they couldn't possibly compare to the army dispatched by King Arthur, could they?"

Lancelot nodded slightly. "I've thought about that too. To be honest, I don't know what King Marco's plans are, but even with doubts, what I saw with my own eyes is enough to warrant caution. It would be best if we could make King Marco abandon his ill intentions on his own."

"So you need the help of the other kings?" King Leodegrance narrowed his eyes. "Accepting King Arthur's invitation would be a signal to King Marco, meaning we stand with King Arthur, right?" Lancelot hesitated, but still nodded.

"Then, what's in it for us if we do this?" King Leodegrance gazed into Lancelot's eyes.

"I don't think anyone wants to go to war," Artoria interjected, her tone calm. "And, do you think if you remain neutral this time, anyone will trust you next time?"

King Leodegrance's gaze fell on Artoria. He smiled and nodded. "You're King Arthur's court attendant, aren't you?

What you say makes sense, but" He paused. "There's a precondition." "I must completely believe Sir Lancelot's words for this precondition to be valid."

Lancelot looked up, meeting King Leodegrance's eyes. "I swear on my knightly honor that I have spoken no lies."

King Leodegrance smiled and shook his head. "A knight's honor is useless in the face of great profit."

Lancelot frowned, about to speak, but at that moment, a clear voice suddenly came from outside the hall: "If you don't believe his words, then what you see with your own eyes should convince you, right?"

"Wh" Lancelot abruptly turned his head, but felt a sharp pain in his abdomen. As he looked up, the elf's sharp claw had already pierced his abdomen. Without giving Artoria any chance, it quickly retreated.

Several bodies were thrown in from outside the main entrance. Screams came from the attendants guarding the hall. Amidst the screams, King Marco elegantly stepped into the hall. He observed the few people in the hall, bowed slightly, then looked up, smiling broadly: "Good evening, everyone."

"King Marco, what are you doing?! For all these years, the kings have not interfered with each other's affairs. Are you trying to break this peace and become an enemy of the kings?!" King Leodegrance glared at the smiling

man in front of him, both shocked and furious.

"I have no intention of being an enemy of the kings. This is just a misunderstanding," King Marco smiled and shook his head. "It's just that when I wanted to come in and chat with you, some people who didn't know their place blocked me, so I had to resort to this."

The surrounding attendants, who had been lurking in ambush, surrounded King Marco from all directions. As soon as Lancelot and Artoria entered the hall, they had been hiding in wait. They were originally monitoring Lancelot and Artoria, but they didn't expect the enemy to suddenly become King Marco. At this moment, the elf suddenly moved. The next second, a scream came from the attendants, followed by a second scream. Blood soaked the entire hall.

"Stop. I've already said, peace is paramount. I don't like violence." A cold voice came from outside the hall. The weathered voice seemed to carry a hint of gentleness, but it made King Leodegrance, who had maintained his composure, finally lose his voice and exclaim, "Vortigern!"

His cloak fluttered in the cold wind. The man raised his golden eyes, which were as deep as a pond. He didn't even glance at King Leodegrance, his gaze fixed on Artoria. He grinned and said, "I told you I'd be back."

The surrounding attendants lay in pools of blood. The elf returned to Vortigern's side, watching Artoria with a sinister gaze.

"Leave here," Artoria gripped her Lance of the Vanguard, aiming it at Vortigern.

"That's truly terrifying. If I were hit by that thing, even I wouldn't be able to handle it," Vortigern said with a laugh. "But, can you unleash the power within it?"

Artoria didn't utter a sound, her expression resolute.

"Lord Vortigern, this little one is enough for me to handle," King Marco laughed, stepping forward two paces, his gaze fixed on Artoria, wanting to see what tricks Artoria could pull. But in the next second, a blazing fire ignited on the Lance of the Vanguard, and a massive fire dragon surged towards King Marco.

The scorching fire dragon scorched the red carpet, and the terrifying temperature almost engulfed the hall. King Marco's eyes widened involuntarily. He wanted to retreat, but there was nowhere to escape. The suddenly rising fire dragon completely consumed King Marco.

Almost at the instant King Marco was consumed, extreme ice spikes shot towards Vortigern and the elf, and the ground instantly became covered in a layer of frost. This was the utmost Artoria could do, combining the Rune magic Asher had taught her with the magic Morgan had recently taught her.

Beside them, Lancelot knelt on one knee, staring blankly at the scene. His eyes reflected the fire and ice spikes. He knew Artoria had some skill, but he had no idea she possessed such terrifying magic. He had to use this opportunity to think of a way. Lancelot's gaze swept left and right. He had been wounded by the elf's surprise attack. Although he had avoided vital areas, he had lost his combat capability, but his mind could still think.

Thud. But at that moment, with a muffled thud, Lancelot fell heavily to the ground.

"You should just lie down obediently," Vortigern stood behind Lancelot, a gentle smile on his face. "What a pity.

Such magic, if Mastered to its peak, would surely pose a considerable threat to me."

The firelight had long since been swallowed by the dark radiance, and the ice spikes had vanished at some unknown moment. Vortigern raised his hand, his body covered in thick scales.

"But" As his voice fell, a palm struck Artoria's back, then he stepped on her. Handcuffs locked her hands the next second. "Half-baked magic is useless against me."

Vortigern picked up the Lance of the Vanguard from the ground, played with it for a moment, then smiled and shook his head. If he hadn't been worried about this thing, he would have appeared much earlier. However, the people around that pretty boy were truly terrifying. He had to seize control of Britain as quickly as possible.

"Take them away." After glancing at the few people who were successively handcuffed, Vortigern turned and stepped out of the hall. Attendants pushed forward a prison cart, and Artoria, Lancelot, and the others were locked inside the cage.
