During Combat with Shishou Requires a..

"Uh..." Looking at the fish soup Artoria handed him, Asher hesitated. Just a whiff of the fish soup was enough to kill his appetite, let alone drink it. But since Lily had made it especially for him, he didn't want to disappoint her.

"What's wrong?" Artoria asked, puzzled.

"I..." Asher was thinking of a polite way to refuse when, at that moment, a figure approached from the front.

Asher looked up and saw Scathach slowly walking towards them. Her high heels made a rhythmic sound on the floor, and her dark purple dress swayed gently in the wind, vaguely revealing a hint of fair skin beneath the hem.

As Scathach drew near, she happened to see the fish soup in Artoria's hand and gave Artoria a meaningful look. "So that's what it is?" No wonder she went fishing so early in the morning, it was to make fish soup for her disciple?

Artoria lowered her gaze, seemingly embarrassed to look at Scathach.

"Shishou, you've come just in time. Let's share this fish soup together," Asher looked up at Scathach. "This is also Lily's kind intention." Artoria suddenly looked up at Asher, her eyes widening slightly, seemingly surprised that Asher would suddenly say such a thing. If Scathach were to drink it... it was hard to imagine the consequences just by thinking about it.

"Since Lily specially prepared it for you, it wouldn't be good for me to drink it. Besides..." But Scathach didn't accept. She just glanced at the bowl of fish soup and shook her head, saying, "If there's only one bowl, how do you plan to share it between two people?"

"That's true, it's impossible for Shishou and I to share one bowl." Asher nodded gently, about to take the fish soup from Artoria, but found the girl gripping the bowl tightly, refusing to let go.

"Lily?" Asher looked up. Artoria's face showed a conflicted expression.

"On second thought, never mind. What I made today was a bit of a failure," Artoria clutched the fish soup to her chest. "I'll pour it away later."

Asher was startled, then immediately smiled and said, "It's fine, the taste isn't particularly bad, actually. You can still swallow it if you drink it all at once."

It was rare for Lily to make fish soup, so being so dismissive would undoubtedly dampen her confidence.

Asher felt that as Lily's elder, he should take care of this younger girl and give her some confidence.

But Artoria showed no intention of letting go. She stared at Asher and said, "Let go."

Her gaze was firm, as if to say, If you don't let go today, I'll fight you. And so, Asher released his hand under Artoria's imposing demeanor.

"I'll come find you when I've made it well. Just wait."

Artoria looked at Asher. Someone who didn't know might think she was declaring war.

"Lily feels so strange today," Asher turned to Scathach.

"Shishou, did something else happen in the bath after we left?" Scathach raised her hand towards the courtyard outside. Rain fell on her fair palm. After pondering for a while, she shook her head.

"Nothing happened."

If anything, she had just taught Artoria a little something. But now it seemed, the thing Lily thought of to make a deep impression on Asher was to make delicious fish soup for her disciple to drink?

She truly was a very naive child. As she thought of this, Scathach's gaze couldn't help but fall on Asher. He truly was a child burdened with sin.

"What's wrong, Shishou?" Asher noticed Scathach's gaze.

"Nothing," Scathach patted Asher's head.

"Go to the training grounds to practice." As she spoke, she

had already started walking towards the training grounds.

"Mhm." Asher nodded. After following her, he looked at Scathach's figure and hesitated. "By the way, Shishou, have you decided on the time to leave?"

"The time to leave, there's no rush for now," Scathach turned to look at the heavy rain outside. "If anything unexpected happens, that griffon will immediately come to report, don't worry."

Asher recalled the griffon that had carried Scathach and Usahacha earlier, and then imagined Usahacha probably now sprawled on the palace windowsill, staring blankly at the rain curtain out of boredom. He inexplicably found it very amusing, and a warmth spread in his heart.

In the past, on rainy days, they would often lie by the windowsill, staring blankly, saying nothing, just watching the rain.

"Let's go." Scathach's voice pulled Asher back to reality.

"Ah... mhm."

"I really shouldn't do this. If he finds out later, he'll definitely think I'm a terrible person." After pouring out the bowl of fish soup, Artoria shook her head vigorously, trying to "sober up."

Moreover, she seemed to have taken too little of the potion. According to what Royal Sister told her a long time ago, if the dosage was too small, the other person might be able to resist, and then their future interactions would become very awkward.

Once she could make better-tasting fish soup, then she would consider the potion problem! Having made up her mind, Artoria walked deep into the corridor. She was going to consult the palace chefs about fish soup.

"Moving around in a dress is truly inconvenient."

Scathach stood in the drizzle, shaking her head and sighing. Her dress swayed gently in the wind, vaguely revealing glimpses of her fair thighs. If she were wearing her usual tight-fitting clothes, she wouldn't be so restricted in her movements. Just now, when sparring with her disciple, her dodging movements seemed very stiff, for fear of accidentally tearing the fabric of her clothes.

"After all, it's everyday wear, not special combat attire. Besides, even like this, I can't beat Shishou," Asher shook his head and said.

"Your performance today isn't even 50% of your usual. It's normal that you can't beat me," Scathach glanced at Asher lightly.

"You were distracted during the fight, and not just once."

Asher lowered his gaze awkwardly, nodding slightly. He was indeed distracted during training just now, and more than once. As for the reason... it was a bit subtle.

Scathach shook her head helplessly, unsure whether to be happy or angry.

During the previous fight, Asher was distracted several times, looking at the hem of her dress as it swayed in combat. When her fair thighs flashed into view, Asher's gaze couldn't help but follow, let alone focus on training.

"Let's go back first," Scathach said. "Training here any longer would just be a waste of time." After all, with her disciple so distracted, the training effect would be very poor. Asher nodded, looked up, and said, "Sorry."

"Speaking of which, were you often distracted when fighting me before?" Scathach suddenly recalled what Morgan had said earlier.

"Mhm..." Asher nodded gently. He was basically a little

distracted every time he fought with Scathach, but once he entered combat mode, he basically had no energy left to be distracted.

"Why?" Scathach stared at Asher. "Tell me the truth."

"I can't help but steal glances at Shishou," Asher answered very honestly. Scathach's eyelid twitched slightly. That was truly honest...

"Even after so many years, you still haven't gotten used to it?" Scathach's tone held a hint of helplessness. It seemed that in the future, when training with her disciple, she would have to wear a more conservative outfit?

"It might take some more time to get used to it," Asher also said helplessly. It wasn't that he didn't want to train seriously; it was just that Shishou's attire was really eye-catching, and he would always subconsciously glance at parts other than the combat.

"Some time?" Scathach paused. "How long do you think it will take to get used to it?"

"Probably... a lifetime?"

Scathach's lips involuntarily curved into a faint smile.

"That's quite a long time, then."
