Dense raindrops pattered on the sea surface, creating countless ripples. A cold wind, mixed with rain, fell on Artoria's face, and the ahoge on her head swayed in the wind. Artoria gripped the Vanguard Lance tightly, and runes formed in her hand.

Then, with a "boom," the sea surface exploded as if a deep-sea bomb had been detonated. Tsunami-like waves surged towards the shore, resembling several fierce sea dragons pouncing.

Scathach stood behind Artoria, raised an index finger, and gently pointed downwards. The seawater splashed onto the beach, instantly forming countless pits, which were quickly filled by other fine sand. Artoria scanned the beach, then raised the Vanguard Lance, spearing a flopping fish on the beach and tossing it into the basket on her back.

"Excellent, your use of runes is already very proficient," Scathach nodded slightly. "How did you come up with this method?"

In the early morning, shortly after Scathach left her room, Artoria came to find her. At the time, she said she wanted to practice runes at sea and was worried about causing a tsunami, so she hoped someone could help prevent any unavoidable incidents.

With such a proactive person, Scathach was naturally happy to oblige, so she followed Artoria to the seaside. She indeed began practicing runes, and each time the sea surface exploded, it was accompanied by a few fish flopping in mid-air. Artoria would then pick out two or three fish that she found appealing and put them into the basket.

"I just had a sudden thought," Artoria said, shaking her head and raising her finger again. Scathach silently watched the girl in front of her, her eyes scanning the basket on her back with suspicion. By now, she understood very well that Artoria's so-called rune practice was just a secondary activity.

The girl's true purpose was the fish in the basket.

But why?

Suddenly decided to catch fish?

She really wanted to ask Lily, but for some reason, Scathach felt that even if she asked, Lily might not answer truthfully. However, no matter what, Lily was still training, and she was very serious every time she used runes, so she didn't want to press the matter. As long as the outcome was good.

Artoria raised her finger, released the runes again, then raised the Vanguard Lance and tossed the fish into the basket. This pattern repeated an unknown number of times until Scathach suddenly heard someone from nearby say, "They're over there!"

Scathach turned just in time to see Asher jogging through the mist and rain.

"Shishou, Lily, what are you doing in this rain?" Asher ran up to Scathach, facing the rain.

"You'll have to ask Lily about that," Scathach gestured towards Artoria, who was not far away. When Asher looked up, he saw Artoria tossing an enormous fish into the basket, then releasing runes again. Asher's eyes widened slightly.

Oh no, is Lily really so hungry she's gone crazy? Running to the seaside to catch fish this early in the morning?

"Lily, what are you doing?" Asher jogged closer and called out. Artoria glanced at Asher, her eyes surprised. "Why are you here too?"

"Never mind, I'm almost done here anyway," she tossed the freshly caught fish into the basket, then looked at the basket full of fish, a satisfied expression on her face.

"This should be enough, right?"

"Just asking... what are you planning to do?" Asher asked.

"Isn't it obvious?" Artoria frowned. "Of course, I'm going to cook."

"I thought so..." Asher was at a loss for words. He raised his sleeve and wiped the rain from her face. "Anyway, let's go back first." He resolved to make more food for Lily when they returned. He never expected her to be so hungry that she'd run out to catch fish this early in the morning; it was truly unexpected.

"No, you two go back first," Artoria shook her head. "I still need to find Brother Kay."

"Kay?" Asher was startled. "Why are you suddenly looking for him?"

"I want to pick some vegetables," Artoria said.

Although he wanted to stop Artoria, looking at her serious eyes, Asher couldn't bring himself to say anything to dissuade her. He knew it would be useless to try.

"Then we'll head back first?" Asher tried to ask.

"Mm," Artoria nodded.

Asher had no choice but to return to the palace with

Scathach.

"Shishou, did Lily tell you what she was thinking?" On the way, Asher couldn't help but ask.

Scathach shook her head. "I don't know."

You don't know, and yet you accompanied her to the shore to catch fish this early in the morning? Asher grumbled inwardly.

"Because it was too boring. It's quite nice sometimes to do this," Scathach said casually, as if seeing through Asher's thoughts. Asher was at a loss for words.

"How was it? Did you find them?" As soon as they returned to the hall, Guinevere immediately came forward, asking anxiously. She had just searched the nearby garden but hadn't found any trace of Artoria.

"Found them," Asher nodded. "She was practicing runes... and catching fish."

"Catching fish?" Guinevere tilted her head slightly.

"Yes, catching fish," Asher said.

In the afternoon, the sky remained overcast, and the rain drifted with the wind. Asher sat in front of the courtyard, lost in thought. A figure slowly walked along the corridor not far away. She made no effort to hide her presence, and Asher quickly noticed her.

"Open your mouth." Artoria walked up to Asher, carrying a steaming bowl of fish soup. Her expression was no different from usual, but her subtly flickering eyes indicated her inner unease at that moment.

"Why?" Asher glanced at the clearly undercooked fish soup, which seemed to emanate a dark, ominous aura.

"To be impressive," Artoria whispered in reply, then forked a small piece of fish. "Open your mouth." Asher hesitated, instinctively leaning back, but Artoria immediately followed. Before he knew it, Asher found himself backed against a stone pillar. He had nowhere to escape.

Under Artoria's direct gaze, Asher had no choice but to open his mouth and eat the half-cooked fish.

Great, looks like Lily didn't add any seasoning at all...

"How is it? Does it taste impressive?" Artoria stared into Asher's eyes, seemingly observing his reaction.

"Mm..." Asher nodded with a nuanced expression. "It's very impressive, in every sense."

It was simply too disgusting. He had no idea what on earth Lily had added; why was the taste so peculiar?!

"Then drink the fish soup too, don't waste it." Artoria handed the entire bowl to Asher. For some reason, her eyes, which usually remained calm, now shone with an unusual light.
