Chapter 77 - 77 - Suguru Geto’s fate! [Finale]

Seeing the majestic-looking sword appear in Kenshin's hand, even Suguru felt a shiver down his spine.

W-What weapon is that? He murmured under his breath, his shaky eyes never leaving the long sword that looked as if it was forged by the God of the Bible himself.

Kenshin waved it around a few times, trying to get a good feel for it before eventually stabbing it on the ground and using both his hands on the handle, acting like a guardian of Asgard's Biofrost.

Looking at the shivering Cursed Spirits who seemed to be dominant earlier due to numbers, Kenshin smirked, "Let's get this over with, yeah?"

His words reached the ears of no one. Or more like none of the Cursed Spirits want to make the first move.

In their fickle minds, the first one who makes the move would be the first one to die under the longsword.

At least that's what is supposed to happen if they weren't under the influence of Suguru Geto's curse technique.

"Kill him!" He ordered. Both his pride and determination to achieve his goal managed to isolate the fear he was feeling earlier.

The Cursed Spirits, under the control of their master, didn't hesitate anymore and rushed forward like a tide, their numbers swarming and occupying most of the space in the room.

Kenshin didn't stay idle either. He tightened the grip on his longsword's handle and bolted forward at dizzying speeds.

Slash!

A single slash of his longsword and tens of Cursed Spirits were halved in an instant.

Slash!

Another slash and another tens of Cursed Spirits met the same fate.

With just two slices of his longsword, almost 30 cursed spirits were kicked back to the afterlife.

When Suguru watched this, he clenched his fists. Those cursed spirits were collected by him for years and they're all going down the drain like they were nothing.

This can't go on, he thought to himself, and recalled the Special-grade Cursed Spirit he used to eradicate an entire village a few years ago.

His thoughts continued, Should be enough to handle someone like him or at least distract him enough until I can snatch the little girl from him.

In his mind, he doesn't consider the little girl dangerous. As far as he knows, Ophis probably only moves either when her older brother tells her to or maybe just out of boredom.

He also noticed a smudge of chocolate on her cheeks and perhaps a single bar of chocolate that he bought for Mimiko from a local store is enough to keep her from making a move against him.

Unbeknownst to him, the chocolate bars that Kenshin was giving to Ophis weren't normal. Those bars were made by yours truly and with ingredients that cannot be found in this world.

Back in the world of Fantazio, he's the sole inventor of Chocolate and with his cooking skill, no amount of chocolate bars in this world could compare to his.

"Tamamo no Mae Incarnate" Suguru murmured the name of the Special-grade curse spirit which was summoned soon after.

A tall woman covered in a Kimono and a white smiley plain mask appeared a little bit behind him.

This is the same special-grade cursed spirit that he used to massacre the village which caused him to not only get expelled from Jujutsu High but also turn into what he is right now.

Tamamo no Mae Incarnate's true form is a huge fox-like entity that looks more like a mangled mess with brown fur and countless eyes and mouths.

Along with its special ability to use the Fox Fire, a blue flame capable of burning through anything in its path.

"Kill him…" Suguru casually pointed at Kenshin and ordered, prompting the lady spirit to make her move.

Soon enough, when the spirit stepped forward, a ring of blue flames appeared that incinerated everything around her.

Even some small Cursed Spirits were caught in the crossfire, hopelessly dying from the Imaginary Vengeful Spirit's special flames.

Hearing the name of the spirit and knowing its origins, Kenshin couldn't help but wonder what Yasaka's reaction would be to this Special-grade cursed spirit that was referenced after her species.

When Kenshin saw the blue flames, he already saw the similarities.

That's interesting. She's using some form of Ki variant that has a mix of Cursed Energy. Two opposing energies used by one entity, Kenshin squinted his eyes at the scene.

Watching Tamamo wave her hand around and manipulate the flames around her to burn everything including the Cursed Spirits, the special-grade spirit feels more like an ally rather than a foe.

Even Suguru noticed this and he couldn't help but regret bringing the Tamamo incarnate out. He forgot that one of the key problems of this cursed spirit is her recklessness on the battlefield. Casually burning her surroundings without a care in the world.

But still, she's serving her duty—distract Kenshin and buy him time to escape once he gets Ophis.

He summoned another Cursed Spirit by his side, a stingray that could fly in the air. One of the oldest Cursed Spirits he collected in his inventory.

———

Seeing a torrent of blue flames that pierced through the swarm of Cursed Spirits and heading towards his way, Kenshin confidently stood his ground, his grip on the longsword's handle tightening.

His muscles contracted and his jawline flexed as he grinned.

"Take this!" He yelled at the same time as he raised the longsword above his head before bringing it down in front of him—charging a specific amount of Holy Energy in the process.

As a result, an air slash made entirely of Holy Energy flew forward, cutting everything in its path like a hot knife through butter.

Once it collided with the sea of blue flames, the holy energy slash sliced it in half, continuing in its path unhindered.

Seeing this, the Tamamo spirit quickly jumped out of the way, narrowly dodging the devastating slash.

However, behind her—Suguru just summoned a purple ugly slug cursed spirit, and was about to pull his Special-grade cursed tool from the slug's mouth however, his senses went haywire and when he saw the Holy Energy slash, he silently cursed in his mind.

He quickly pulled out the Playful Cloud—the name of the Special-grade cursed tool and struck the holy energy slash.

With its amplification feature that could multiply the user's strength, Suguru successfully dispersed the slash into pieces.

Seeing the familiar weapon in his hand, Kenshin recalled it being used by Maki Zenin in the anime, he assumed that after Suguru Geto's defeat, it was passed on to her.

It would be a good gift for her, should probably take it from him after this, murmured Kenshin while dodging another torrent of blue flames that almost licked his clothes.

He dashes forward and instantly arrives in front of Tamamo, the corner of the longsword glinting under the bulb lights in the room.

With a carefully timed attack, Kenshin unleashed a devastating series of slashes towards the Special-grade cursed spirit, forcing her to slowly back away and constantly dodge his attacks.

Fortunately for her, she wasn't alone. Out of the corner of his eye, Kenshin detected Geto jumping on top of him while twirling the three-section staff around his body like an expert.

By the end of his fall, the first section fo the staff was smashed towards him, the air around it quivered as a testament to Geto's amplified strength.

Much to both Tamamo and Geto's shock, Kenshin's right hand abandoned the handle of his longsword, leaving his left hand to keep making Tamamo occupied with his onslaught.

With his right hand free, Kenshin raised it above his head and casually caught it with his bare hand, the ground beneath him trembled and caved in, forming a small crater.

BOOOM!

This isn't Kenshin's first time fighting two strong opponents at the same time. He wouldn't possess a maxed-out All-Weapon and Close Combat skill if that weren't the case.

Suguru softly landed on the ground and gritted his teeth as he tried to pull the Playful Cloud back but the grip on its first section was too tight.

What's with this ridiculous strength?! He couldn't help but stare at Kenshin in disbelief.

He thought that the boy simply possessed several cursed techniques that leaned more on support rather than offense, which is true as Kenshin hasn't shown any signs of magic yet, and Geto assumed that the longsword in Kenshin's hand was simply a special-grade cursed tool with a unique ability to unleash anti-cursed spirit slashes.

Who would've known that the boy would actually possess a strength that surpassed even his which was already amplified by his Playful Cloud staff.

With a click of his tongue, he commanded another haul of Cursed Spirits from his inventory to harass and overwhelm Kenshin.

At least that's what is supposed to happen at first but something unexpected happened.

Kenshin was about to finally unleash his magic when he saw that he was about to be buried by several Cursed Spirits when suddenly, he felt Ophis remove her hand from his left ear, which indicates that she's making a move.

When Geto saw this, his eyes widened in surprise. What was supposed to be a perfect plan of distracting Kenshin and buying himself the time and space to snatch Ophis away was crumbling right in front of his eyes.

There was no sound or any dramatic effects. Ophis simply flicked her hand and the swarm of Cursed Spirits along with the Special-grade Cursed Spirit, Tamamo no Mae incarnate was obliterated in an instant.

The entire room, which was previously occupied by hundreds of Cursed Spirits was immediately cleared out, leaving only three figures left—Kenshin, Ophis, and Suguru Geto.

"N-No way…" He muttered, the grip on his Playful Cloud slowly slipping away.

One of his strongest Cursed Spirits, Tamamo no Mae incarnate was killed just like that?

She hasn't even entered her true form yet and she's already gone!

Kenshin's words soon entered his ears, "So much for underestimating your opponent. I thought being Satoru Gojo's best friend and your short encounter with Toji would've made you learn your lesson, but I guess I was wrong about you…"

Geto stayed silent. His pupils were simply staring at Kenshin's tall figure.

Why is he so tall all of a sudden? He questioned and when he looked down he got his answer.

Oh right, he fell on his knees and he's now kneeling in front of a boy who is just half his age.

"Maki's birthday is just a few months away. This outta be a good gift for her, don't you think? After all, it originally belonged to a Zenin, you just stole it from his corpse. So it's only right it goes back to a Zenin." He continued to mutter to himself while bending down and picking up the fallen Playful Cloud from the ground.

And in front of Geto's eyes, it vanished into motes of light, disappearing into what he assumed to be Kenshin's Cursed Technique which allows him to store objects in a separate space.

"Now, I wonder what I should do about you. Killing you instantly would be a mercy for what you just planned to do against my family. But if I spared you, there's no way you would stay silent after this, I know you still have a few hidden tricks that you haven't shown me during our battle because of your arrogance…"

Kenshin crouched down, letting his eyes meet the same level as Geto's.

"Tell me, Suguru Geto. What kind of punishment does someone like you deserve?"

Gritting his teeth, before Geto could respond to such arrogant words, they were interrupted by a third party. A voice belonging to someone extremely familiar to Geto.

"How about I punish him for you instead?"

Annoyance flickered in Kenshin's face as he stood back up. He lazily looked behind him and replied, "How rude of you to intrude without knocking don't you think, Gojo-sensei?"

"I'm sorry about that, my dear student~ but I feel like this should be my moment to intrude."
