Chapter 78 - 78 - Gojo - A true wife won’t let his husband be punished by others!

Kenshin frowned slightly. Gojo was not supposed to know about this place, and yet here he is, standing there casually waving his hand at him as if fate itself brought him here.

It's too much to be a coincidence.

Although Kenshin knew the possibility of Gojo finding out about this was low, it was never zero. There is still a small chance of it happening, but it's just that it is almost non-existent.

The real question is, how can such a low possibility still get triggered?

It's like the fate itself is doing all these things, purposely letting Gojo discover about this which would prompt him to stop me from killing Geto. There's indeed something supernatural around this universe, coming up with a conclusion, Kenshin couldn't help but click his tongue in annoyance.

He still can't beat Gojo as of now. If he were to fight him, there would be countless casualties and Gojo is not known to sacrifice himself to protect innocent lives.

But Kenshin is not. He didn't become a Hero and an Evil Slayer just to cause fights that would contradict who he is.

You're lucky this time, Kenshin cast a cold look at Geto who simply looked down in shame, his hair was messy and all over his sweaty face.

An idea suddenly came to his mind and Kenshin grabbed Suguru by the hem of his kimono—a small flash of light escaped through the gaps of his fingers clutched on the cloth before throwing him on Satoru's way.

"Take him. Hopefully, I get a little compensation from what this man did to me before this…" Kenshin stood his ground and crossed his arms. So what if Satoru is his teacher in Jujutsu High, he was never there to be taught in the arts of Cursed Technique.

He's there to copy them, steal them, or maybe just take inspiration.

With his access to all sorts of energy in this universe including Cursed Energy, he can become the true Uchiha in this world.

There's also a reason why he's asking for compensation from Gojo Satoru specifically. Although Cursed Techniques are innate and not just some kind of technique that can be written down on a scroll and then learned by reading and practicing but Kenshin had something unique that the others don't.

His system. At first, one might think that his system only serves as a guide or a tool that lets him see his current status and an infinite space of inventory but it's far from that.

You see, most of his current skills, and those that are still locked were copied or inspired by several magic spells back in the world of Fantazio.

For example, his most treasured skill, the Universal Energy Nuclear Reactor which provides him with an infinite energy regeneration and access to all kinds of energy.

It wasn't invented by him. It wasn't even his idea in the first place. Back in the world of Fantazio, there exists the World Tree, a huge tree that is as large as an entire Empire, situated deep in a forest where most elves live.

What made this World Tree unique and the most coveted treasure in the entire world was its capability to provide an infinite amount of Mana without getting exhausted.

It served as the main source of Mana for the elves and even without that, the World Tree is the reason why the Mana in the world isn't getting bleak or fully consumed—especially since there are billions of the entire population that absorb Mana in the air and use them in their daily life.

When Kenshin—no, Alistair Abara discovered it. His status as the Hero and Evil Slayer allowed him to study it for years, taking many inspirations and such before finally being able to form the unique skill.

Mana Generator, the first stage of the Universal Energy Nuclear Reactor.

Only during his constant traveling around the world that he discover the existence of other Energies such as Aether Energy, Dark Energy, Holy Energy, Nature Energy and etc.

The skill evolved over hundreds of years before finally earning its name as the Universal Energy Nuclear Reactor!

And that, is the story of how he managed to create such an overpowered skill.

It's not an invention or a unique idea that he came up with. He was just inspired and copied the World Tree's unique ability.

Now, let's get back to the original topic. You might ask how it all connected.

His system allows him to copy skills, techniques, and abilities with nothing but studying them and understanding their properties.

Once he understands the components of a certain trait, the system would register it as a type of skill that can be evolved and maxed out by him in due time.

That's the reason why he asked for compensation from Satoru Gojo himself. With his clan being known as the most influential and the strongest out of the rest of the clans including the Zenin clan, no doubt the Gojo clan is filled with a repertoire of unique Cursed Techniques that he can study from.

And even if his clan isn't that rich in Cursed Techniques, surely the strongest Sorcerer's words have weight and he can have Kenshin study the library of the Zenin clans or at least just a few selected bunch.

———

While Kenshin's mind was formulating countless plans and leeways in case Satoru refused, the man himself was looking down on Suguru's fallen figure and assessing any signs of critical injuries.

Finding none, he looked back to Kenshin and smirked, "Of course. I'll do everything I can to get you compensated. Just say the word."

Satoru is someone who is easy to talk to. Even though he and Geto have long seperated ways due to differences in perspectives, Satoru still considers the guy as a close friend, the only male friend he has to be exact.

When Kenshin heard the words of affirmation, his lips turned into a curvy smile, and the various plans he had just formulated to convince Satoru vanished in an instant.

"Glad we have come to an understanding. Now, if you'll excuse me, I still have a family to take care of." The last few words were intended as a hint for Satoru who instantly gets the meaning behind them.

I see. Sugu must've done something to his family, sigh, how troublesome. Thankfully, I was nearby when I sensed the disturbance in this place, Satoru simply allowed Kenshin to walk past him, acknowledging him with a simple smile.

When Kenshin finally left the room, only then did Satoru finally release a deep sigh, "How scary~"

Geto snickered, "You tell me…" Among the two of them, he should be the one saying those words, "Where the hell did you even find that kid, Satoru?"

"I didn't find him. Somehow fate kept letting him find us instead…" Satoru chuckled as he replied.

Geto remained quiet, not sharing the same energy as Gojo.

"…"

"…"

Silence ensued between the two of them, the atmosphere felt awkward and Geto could feel it, so he initiated, "Why did you help me? You could've just watched me die."

When Satoru heard this, he was silent for a few seconds, conflict could be seen on his eye-covered face.

Until finally, he managed to muster an answer, "If you die, Shoko would be sad."

Geto widened his eyes in surprise. He remembers Shoko, she's the only woman who cared about his well-being even after hearing the news of his defection and when he massacred an entire village in cold blood.

Of course, Geto wouldn't forget her. Including Satoru, the two were the only friends he had during high school.

Back then, some students shunned him due to his Cursed Technique. After all, no one likes to be with the boy who prefers to enslave Cursed Spirits rather than kill them.

Only Shoko and Satoru treated him better than the others. The former is due to her kind nature and the latter is because of his indifference to others, seeing others as inferior to him.

That's when they clicked. Became the best of friends which instantly fell apart due to that mission.

Amanai, he muttered the name as her face flashed in front of his eyes.

It was his fault. His pathetic self caused her death. Even to this day, Geto sees himself as the one at fault in that incident.

"Sigh~" Seeing Geto silent, Satoru couldn't help but sigh in defeat and crouch in front of him.

He strained his neck and stared at the ceiling, "You're my best friend, Sugu. My one and only best friend."

That was it. The answer to why he saved Geto. It took him quite a lot of courage and pride just to say those specific set of words.

When Geto heard this, a smile was plastered on his face, "You really haven't changed, huh?"

"Why would I? I'm the strongest after all~" Replied Satoru with a snort.

The white-haired man continued with a tone of curiosity, "…By the way. Did you see that child on his shoulders? I thought she was some kind of outfit decoration."

Just then, Geto's cold voice rang, "Satoru. Don't touch that kid. She's dangerous. More dangerous than you."

The smile on Satoru's face disappeared, his brows furrowed as he registered Geto's words.

He knew him, and he also knew he wouldn't make baseless accusations. If Geto says something like that, then either he's gone senile or he's telling the truth.

And Satoru leans more on the latter.

"Tell me about it."

———

"Who was that guy? I sense the familiar presence of Dimensional Gap from him…" In the middle of arriving back in their home, Ophis suddenly dropped a nuclear bomb on top of Kenshin's head, causing him to stop in his tracks.

Kenshin has heard of the Dimensional Gap thanks to both Ophis and Yasaka's library. An entire universe is placed just outside the current universe. However, just because it's called a universe doesn't mean it's an entirely new universe.

It's simply as large as the Universe, that's all. No planets, stars, or anything like that.

You can call it a space between the Universe and the rest of the Multiverse outside. At least, according to Ophis's words. While the books in Yasaka's library simply described it as the home of the two Dragon Gods, Ophis and Great Red.

Obviously, the most accurate information would come from Ophis, it's literally her home.

"Interesting…Could his Curse Technique be somehow related to the Dimensional Gap? Or does it stem from his Domain Expansion? So many questions…"

Unfortunately, despite the many questions, they would remain unanswered for now until he asks the person himself, or maybe simply study him considering Satoru himself might not know the existence of the Dimensional Gap.
