Matthias felt his heart being struck by lightning again. This time, there was no disturbance disrupting their relationship. What else was making his wife hate him? Just minutes ago, they seemed to be getting along. Had he done something wrong to her to make her angry? Matthias still couldn't accept his wife's unreasonable answer.
"Why do you suddenly not want to be my wife? Is there something bothering you again?"
Victoria shook her head slowly as she removed the ring from her neck. "I already know who gave this ring to me."
"Do you know who it is?"
"That's why I'm asking you now. Have you ever lied to me? Especially lying to me that you weren't the one who gave me this ring."
Matthias's eyes welled with tears as he stared at the ring his wife held in her hand. "Yes, I lie to you on purpose."
"Why did you lie to me? Was it fun to deceive me?"
"Now I want to ask you a question. How did you know I gave you that ring two years ago?"
