When Matthias opened his eyes, he was immediately shocked to see his wife's figure had disappeared. He immediately sat up, shaking his head, clutching the blanket tightly. How foolish he had been to fall asleep in such a critical situation. He had vowed to wake up early so he could see his wife one last time before she left. However, now that opportunity had vanished from his life. He hoped his wife would return soon. The thought of her traveling alone terrified him.
"Victoria, I hope you're doing well on your solo adventure out there."
Matthias didn't want to stay in bed any longer. He wanted to cook breakfast for his wife, but that didn't work out. However, as he walked into the dining room, he noticed the table was covered with various dishes and a small note had been placed there.
He took a small piece of paper and read the message from his wife.
