Inside the radar control room of the Gardinia nation, several miles from Alamo City, one of the radar operators suddenly shouted towards his superior.
"Sir, radar is picking up a small unidentified object travelling at Mach five."
The superior officer got up from his desk immediately and hurried over to the operator before asking, "Any idea what it is? Is it a hypersonic missile?"
"Unclear, sir; however, it is roughly the size of a missile."
"Track its trajectory and analyse for a possible target." The officer said before picking up a nearby phone and contacting his own superior.
After a moment, the call went through, and he started speaking, "Sir, radar detects an unidentified object flying at hypersonic speed. The speed and size of the object lead us to believe it's a missile, though we are unable to verify at this moment."
"Yes, sir, we are analysing its projected course and any possible targets."
The radar technician suddenly spoke up, "Sir, projections show that at its current course and speed, it will intercept with chartered airline A C one seven nine nine, a jet privately owned by one Francis Morose."
"Did you get that, sir?" The superior officer asked.
"Yes, sir of the Morose family."
"Very good, sir."
The officer hung up the phone before calling another number.
"Missile control, this is radar control. We have an unidentified object flying at Mach five on a collision course with a chartered aircraft and are sending you targeting data. Your orders are to launch hypersonic missiles in an attempt to intercept the unidentified object. Confirmation of orders will be sent by base command momentarily."
💫💫💫
The stream rotated between the views from the different micro cams, as well as Adam's first-person perspective, allowing the chat to witness the sight of flying at hypersonic speeds while the micro cam that was pointing backwards also showed the trail of red light he was leaving in his wake.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Dude, look at him go.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): He's kinda like Ironman.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): What's hypersonic flight?]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Hypersonic flight is a flight speed that is five times faster than the speed of sound. Look at the speed on his HUD, it shows he is currently travelling at Mach 5.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Fuck, even military jets can only reach Mach 2 as standard.]
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Damn, that's half the speed of Superman.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Ironman, Superman?]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Superhero comic book characters here on Earth.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Ah, ok, I kind of want to check them out now.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): I have never seen an anti-gravity armour create such an effect during high-speed flight; it is very beautiful.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): It's definitely strange. I have encountered many different anti-gravity armours from many different races, but I have never encountered one like this. I honestly can't determine which race it belongs to.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Do you work with anti-gravity armours or something, Beinglittle?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Yes, I'm a cybernetics researcher and Engineer.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Impressive, Strathorp 7 is home to the Dwarfinians, right? They are some of the best engineers in the Galaxy; only a handful of races, such as the Solarians and Deverinians, can compete with them.]
[Solarianpride11 (Solarian 4): I'm happy to hear that my race is still so respected and admired in the Universe.]
[[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Damn a Solarian.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): This is a rare and unexpected surprise.]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): Greetings, honoured Solarian.]
Adam, who was still flying at hypersonic speed, was surprised to find that a Solarian had entered his chat, and so he decided to pay closer attention as he continued his flight.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Is it just me, or are they all being very polite to this new viewer?]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Agreed.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Looks like they're kissing ass to me kekeke.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): Is there a reason you're being so polite towards this new member?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): It is because they are a Solarian, one of the most advanced races in the galaxy.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Even though they are one of the most advanced races in the galaxy, they are known for their peaceful nature and approachable demeanour while generally only fighting to defend themselves and their territory.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Do not look down on them because of that; however, once they enter combat, there are few who can defeat them, whether it's in space warfare or hand-to-hand combat.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Not to mention they are recognised as one of the most beautiful races in the galaxy.]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Yup yup, these men are the epitome of handsome.]
[Solarianpride11 (Solarian 4): You all flatter us too much. I thank you for the kind words.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Might I enquire why a Solarian is watching this stream? From my understanding, your race shunned the streaming world after the recent incident with her highness princess Liluth and a Terran streamer.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Ohhh, this sounds juicy, tell us more kekeke.]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Oh gods, please don't.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): A member of the Terran nobility was visiting Solarian 4, the home planet of the Solarians, with his mother, who was at the time the diplomatic envoy of the Terrans.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): They went there to foster closer ties, after all, although they have impressive military might for their age, the Terrans are still one of the younger races in the galaxy that is a member of the Universal Senate.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): And what race doesn't want to form closer ties with the Solarians?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Exactly. Anyway, the story goes that the diplomatic envoy's son was streaming IRL in the Solarian Royal capital. Even though the Solarians are a peaceful race, access to the Solarian royal capital is exclusive only to Solarians and invited guests; you can't just travel there for tourism.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Anyway, the diplomat's son was getting huge viewership numbers because hardly anyone had seen the royal capital except for pictures and videos, while here he was showing it off to the universe live. The diplomat's son was at a restaurant sampling the Solarian cuisine and giving the stream his feedback on it when 1st Princess Liluth Solar entered along with some of her school friends.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Apparently, they had just finished their exams and came out to celebrate with princess Liluth offering to treat them all. The diplomat's son spotted Princess Liluth and was immediately entranced with her beauty while his stream's numbers skyrocketed, after all people from all over the universe were being given a chance to view the Solarian 1st princess's beauty.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Now you have to understand that Sorian's are already considered beautiful and handsome by universal standards, as Handsome3horns said before. However, the princess Liluth is a cut above even them; she is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful women in the universe.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): So the diplomat's son became entranced, and his chat skyrocketed; however, like with all streams, there are always some who want to see the streamer mess up or the world burn.]
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Did someone call me? Kekeke.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Exactly, however the diplomat's son's viewer count was so high that his chat was full of people like 1000yearsofdeath and they got it into the minds that it would be fun to see the Solarian princess refuse a Terran's advances, so they egged him on to approach her and ask her out on a date.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Oh gods, I can see where this is going already.]
[Justiceistruth: (Earth): You know that the diplomat's son is going to be a spoiled rich kid who doesn't know how to take rejection because he is so used to getting his own way.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): 50 bucks says he did something stupid like attempting to force her to date him forcefully.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): No bet.]
[Sparesomechangebro (Earth): Give me the 50 bucks instead, bro, spare me some change.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Are you sure you haven't heard the story before?]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Wait, seriously? Is this some 3rd rate webnovel or something?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): So yes, the diplomat's son approached princess Liluth and asked her out on a date. The princess and her classmates were all stunned because it was well known not only on Solarian but in the universe that the princess didn't date. She had categorically claimed that she had no interest in romantic relations with anyone until after she completed her 100-year service.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Wait 100 years?]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Damn, how long do the Solarian race live for?]
[Solarianpride11 (Solarian 4): We do not have a predetermined lifespan. Unless we die via illness or being killed, we won't die.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Seriously?]
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): It's true, the Solarian race does not age past maturity; that is one of the reasons why their race is classed as one of the most attractive, they have eternal youth along with their natural beauty and handsomeness.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Man as a woman that just sucks, I want eternal youth.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Eternal youth + 1]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Eternal youth + 2]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): Eternal youth + 3]
[Tessisdabest (Imperial Down): Eternal youth +4]
[Beczontop (Imperial Down): Eternal youth +5]
