Chapter 267 - Chapter 267: Doom, You Calculated Me!

For Earth-2149, the crisis was not yet over. Although Peter had taken advantage of the remaining Mist Force on his way back to dispatch hundreds of zombies, a portion of the zombies had not reached Latveria, and some had even fled.

Therefore, everything had to proceed according to the original plan. Fortunately, the refugees of Latveria had already left, leaving only a group of heroes behind.

"Doom will be the last to leave." The Doom from Universe-616 looked at the assembled heroes, then glanced at Reed. "A Monarch does not abandon his world until all is settled."

"Indeed." The Doom from Universe-2149 agreed for once.

Peter looked at the two Dooms, feeling something was amiss, but for some reason, Reed patted Peter's shoulder. Peter nodded hesitantly. "Alright, I'll go through first and talk to the Avengers there about what happened here, so they can prepare. Like I said, that universe is basically a wasteland, so there's quite a bit of preparation needed. Then I'll come back and tear up the portal."

The biggest thing was that there was already an elderly Doom there who might need dealing with.

Peter walked into the portal immediately after speaking. Reed, pretending not to notice the two Dooms, led the Fantastic Four through. Then, the remaining heroes from their universe, including a few mutants from Asteroid X, went through, followed by Dazzler and the Scarlet Witch.

Magneto reached out, retrieving pieces of debris from the outside ruins: Iron Man's armor, Captain America's shield, Nova's helmet, and other miscellaneous equipment, hoping they could be used in the new world, and then stepped in.

The last to enter was Ash. Although he desperately wanted to go live in a new world with several beautiful women, after a long string of chaotic adventures, he was somewhat fed up with wasteland universes. "Can I choose my own universe? I'm not keen on the wasteland."

"The teleporter will remain active for a certain time after being set for destruction. You can randomly enter a different universe," explained 2149 Doom. The Necronomicon looked at Ash with a flicker of hope, but regrettably, Ash tossed the book onto the ground in disgust, rejecting it.

"Damn you, Ash! You wait! You think you'll have a good end, bastard!"

The Necronomicon raged, then looked pleadingly at the two Dooms present. "Um, gentlemen..."

"This thing is mine." Doctor Strange ignored the gazes of the two Dooms and picked up the Necronomicon. After all, he'd been annoyed by Spider-Man so many times; he deserved to gain something, didn't he?

"I don't care what you two plan to do, but remember, this is a dangerous reality."

After briefly warning the two, Strange closed his own portal and headed to the wasteland universe in a good mood. If he could travel to other universes without using magic, it was best not to use magic.

The Watcher silently observed the two Dooms. He wanted to point out that Galactus was already on his way, and they didn't need to destroy the planet, but he was an observer, not an intercessor, so he quietly chose to watch the drama unfold.

2149 Doom raised his hand to cast a spell, but the spell failed as it activated. His consciousness blurred, and he began to collapse. 616 Doom looked coldly at 2149 Doom. "When I thought of destroying the Multiversal Teleporter, I already planned how to deal with you. Remember that arm of Thor that Spider-Man brought? I knew you'd be arrogant enough to refuse Reed Richards' vaccine. Now, the virus carried by that arm has taken effect."

"But why did you..."

"Reed Richards is foolish, but his ability is beyond doubt. Therefore, I was vaccinated, and you were not."

"Doom! You calculated me!"

"Your entire universe is overly idiotic, just like this disaster—a thoroughly boring, morbid freak show. Be grateful. At least you sacrificed your life for the Doom who is truly worthy."

Doom cast a spell to control the dead body, then ordered the zombie Doom to overload and self-destruct the Multiversal Teleporter. He himself chose to travel to the wasteland universe. The zombie Doom followed the final spell command, overloading the portal and being incinerated in a magnificent burst of light.

The Silver Surfer of Earth-2149, currently en route to Earth, looked confusedly at the planet that was supposed to be Galactus's meal exploding into fragments. He scratched his head in puzzlement before continuing to search for the next suitable planet for his master to feed on.

The Watcher was about to leave to head to Earth-Z to transplant the new generation of zombie Sentinels to another universe infected with the zombie virus. This crisis was far from over. He had already locked onto the signal: Earth-21050, a universe where Mister Fantastic, not Magneto, received the zombie Sentinel. He had confirmed that location.

However, at the Watcher's lunar base on Earth-Z, he received a signal that somewhat surprised him.

"Spider-Man?"

Earth-21935, the Wasteland Universe, the American Midwest under Avengers control.

In Hammer Falls, the capital of Avengers America, the elderly Hawkeye, the captain of the Sunset Avengers team, scratched his head, watching the refugees emerge one after another. These refugees all needed security checks to prevent them from turning into zombies, though 2149 Doom had already screened them, so there were no issues.

"I thought things were bad enough here, but a Resident Evil kind of thing exists too?"

Hawkeye was utterly unable to comprehend the chaos of the Multiverse. As all the refugees left, he finally saw the Spider-Man of 616, Peter Benjamin Parker, who had saved this world before, walk out, followed by the Fantastic Four.

"Haha, Peter! And Reed Richards! My God, seeing you guys is like going back in time!"

The elderly Hawkeye enthusiastically approached. The Fantastic Four looked around with curiosity. The old man, highly excited, immediately intended to invite them to take down the Wasteland Universe's Doom—this was a golden opportunity!

But what followed was even more thrilling for him.

A few mutants emerged, including a younger version of Forge and Black Panther T'Challa with a prosthetic limb. Then, old Hawkeye saw a sight that made him incredibly emotional: it was the Scarlet Witch of another world.

He was so excited he was nearly in tears, because he could never forget the day the Scarlet Witch and other comrades died right in front of him, and Magneto killed his daughter, leading to the downfall of the Avengers.

As for Dazzler, he wasn't familiar with her, sorry.

The next person to emerge was...

"Magneto?!"
