Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Under Control

The other cultists, witnessing the fury of the Dragon Duke, saw one of the earls raise his pistol threateningly at Ivy.

They had clearly underestimated her. Ivy's marksmanship was formidable. As the earl lifted his weapon, Ivy fired a single shot—"bang"—and the bullet tore through his chest with a violent spin, nearly obliterating his torso.

He glanced down at the gaping wound in his chest before collapsing into unconsciousness.

The remaining earls, showing no mercy, drew their pistols and began firing while dodging frantically.

Yet Ivy moved like a fallen angel incarnate, relentlessly discharging rounds. Each bullet claimed an earl's life, for unlike Xiao Feng, she need not aim for their heads; a mere hit to the body was enough to guarantee death for a Dragon Earl.

The Black Angel's firepower was simply overwhelming.

The Dragon Duke frowned, eyeing Ivy's massive sniper rifle with disdain, and unleashed a swirling energy orb towards her.

Without hesitation, Ivy fired a shot into the energy mass. The spinning bullet's kinetic force shredded the Duke's attack apart.

Xiao Feng called out to Ivy, "The bullets are in the sewer—shoot until they run out, then grab more…" Then he lunged once again at the Dragon Duke. If Ivy remained safe, Xiao Feng could focus solely on this formidable foe.

Clutching a black alloy blade in one hand and a chain in the other, Xiao Feng charged at the Duke.

The Dragon Duke regarded Xiao Feng warily; unable to discern his level of psychic ability, he conjured fist-sized energy spheres in both hands and hurled them with fierce intent.

Xiao Feng weaved nimbly, and within seconds, he was beside the Duke. Yet instead of striking with his blade, he flung the chain.

The Duke eyed the chain's other end, only to see it cast into a pool of blood—fresh from the slain cultists—slowly flowing around his feet.

Still puzzled by the chain's destination, the Duke suddenly felt an electric current surge along it into the blood.

A jolt of intense numbness surged through him, and his body convulsed violently before collapsing to the ground.

Xiao Feng, breathing deeply, rose to his feet and glanced at Rice, Old White, and the others, all evidently unharmed. He felt reassured and told Rice, "Alright, now we can escape…"

"No," Rice insisted, "not yet. Many brothers are still imprisoned in other rooms—I must rescue them…"

Xiao Feng nodded and picked up the discarded Blood Ghost pistol. After reloading it fully, he handed it to Ivy. "This Blood Ghost is yours now—the Black Angel's recoil is too much for you."

Smiling, Ivy swapped weapons with Xiao Feng. Though she admired the Black Angel's power, its fierce kick was no joke. Xiao Feng took the Black Angel and approached the fallen Duke, leveling the rifle at his head. "You vermin deserve death. I'll send you straight to hell…"

Without hesitation, Xiao Feng pulled the trigger. The Black Angel roared, ejecting a bullet.

Yet his expression froze—he clearly saw a rapidly spinning energy shield materialize, blocking the bullet's advance.

The Dragon Duke chuckled, "So, you possess an electric psychic ability. But if you thought you could so easily kill me, you're sorely mistaken… Don't forget, I am a Level Seven psychic… Prepare to die."

Energy spheres exploded around him, smashing into Xiao Feng and hurling him through the air.

Ivy shouted in alarm, "Xiao Feng!" Her gaze icy, she raised the Blood Ghost and unleashed a hail of bullets.

However, the Blood Ghost's power paled compared to the Black Angel. The Duke's swirling energy barrier repelled the shots effortlessly. Without a glance, he unleashed several energy spheres, blasting Rice, Old White, and Brada—who had just raised his weapon—against the walls.

An energy orb surged toward Ivy, but Whitey leapt up, intercepting it. The force sent Whitey flying back into Ivy, and both tumbled apart.

The Dragon Duke sneered coldly, "Did you really think you could defy the Dragon Cult? You've slain many of my followers today, so I see no reason to spare your lives."

He then locked eyes on the struggling Xiao Feng and blasted him with another energy orb, sending him flying again.

At that moment, more cultists surged into the chamber.

The Duke waved his hand. "Bind them all. Later, I'll skin them alive—feed them to the beasts!"

"Yes, sir!" The cultists promptly re-tied Rice and the others, beating them mercilessly. Despite his face drenched in blood, Rice shouted curses relentlessly, filling the room with coarse vitriol.

But their curses served no purpose—only fueling their captors' cruelty.

"Duke, that woman has escaped…"

The Duke cursed, "She fled? You won't even pursue? Useless wretches…"

The cultists plunged into the sewers, in pursuit of Whitey and Ivy.

The Duke approached Xiao Feng, seized him roughly, and slammed him against the wall. With a cruel sneer, he taunted, "Now do you realize the gulf between us, you worthless fool?"

Xiao Feng met his gaze coldly. "You'll regret this. I will personally drag you down to hell…"

"Haha! Dream on. You're no match for me. Since you're so polite, I'll graciously send you to heaven instead…"

With that, the Duke's right hand formed a spinning vortex aimed straight at Xiao Feng's heart, the whirlwind accelerating with terrifying speed...
