Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Chidori Complete

"Chidori! Chidori!" Lightning constantly flashed in Uchiha Yi's hand, and the violent lightning-natured chakra continuously made sounds, like thousands of birds chirping.

Uchiha Yi looked at the lightning in his hand, a smile appearing at the corner of his mouth. It had taken him three months, under the guidance of Tsunade and Uzumaki Mito, to research the Chidori.

"Is it complete?" Tsunade crossed her arms, examining the lightning in Uchiha Yi's hand. Uchiha Mikoto, Uzumaki Kushina, and Nawaki also looked on with curiosity.

They had witnessed Uchiha Yi propose the theory, consult a large amount of Senju clan data on Lightning Release training, and then complete the jutsu under the guidance of Tsunade and Uzumaki Mito.

"It's pretty much complete," Uchiha Yi nodded slightly. With that, he accelerated, rushing towards a distant dummy at a speed far exceeding what a Chunin could achieve, easily piercing through it.

After he finished, Uchiha Yi spoke, "For me, the ninjutsu is complete, but it's difficult to popularize it.

This ninjutsu requires rapid movement towards the opponent during an attack. One might move too fast and be unable to clearly see the enemy, leading to a counter-attack. It needs to be used in conjunction with the Sharingan to achieve its maximum effect.

However, very few members of the Uchiha clan possess the lightning nature; most primarily focus on the fire nature.

While it's possible to develop the lightning nature later on, it ultimately can't compare to an innate lightning nature. It would be better to focus on the fire nature instead."

"At least you succeeded, didn't you? If you used this ninjutsu on me, I'd probably die instantly." Nawaki, standing to the side, glanced at the destroyed dummy and swallowed before saying, "The power of this ninjutsu can probably rival a B-rank, right?"

"No, this is an A-rank ninjutsu." However, Uzumaki Mito immediately made a definitive statement. Her gaze towards Uchiha Yi was full of admiration: "The best ninjutsu is the one that suits you.

Similarly, the same ninjutsu will have different effects in different hands.

For example, your Uchiha clan's Fire Release: Great Fire Annihilation, in the hands of other Uchiha, is only a bit stronger than the Great Fireball Jutsu, but in Uchiha Madara's hands, it becomes incredibly deadly, requiring dozens of water release users to simultaneously attack to potentially stop it.

This ninjutsu of yours is almost the ultimate in Lightning Release nature transformation, and it also has some shape transformation. You can continue to research this Lightning Release; I think it has great potential for development, and it might even rival the Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode in the future."

"Uchiha Madara's Fire Release, requiring dozens of water release users to simultaneously attack to potentially stop it?" Tsunade was curious about Uchiha Madara at this moment.

Previously, Uzumaki Mito had privately lamented more than once that Uchiha Yi's talent was no less than that of Uchiha Madara in his prime, but Tsunade's understanding of Uchiha Madara was ultimately limited. She didn't even know how strong her own grandfather was; he should, at most, be a bit stronger than Hiruzen Sarutobi and Tobirama Senju, right?

"Yes, Hashirama said that Uchiha Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan's dōjutsu could very likely enhance the power of ninjutsu. The power of the ninjutsu he used was stronger than that of ordinary ninja," Uzumaki Mito said with a sigh when she mentioned Uchiha Madara.

Sometimes Uzumaki Mito would also question whether Tobirama Senju's actions to prevent Uchiha Madara from becoming Hokage were right. If Uchiha Madara hadn't left, would Hashirama still be alive? If Hashirama hadn't died, would Tobirama also not have died? And would the Uzumaki clan not have been annihilated?

If they had listened to Uchiha Madara's suggestion and unified the entire ninja world, would the ninja world truly have achieved peace?

While Uchiha Madara certainly made many mistakes and was a madman, his pursuit of peace was undeniable.

"Is that so? It's hard to imagine how strong he was." Tsunade then stepped forward again, patting Uchiha Yi's head. "Kid, you did very well. You truly are my disciple, Tsunade's. Creating an A-rank ninjutsu at six years old is unique in the entire ninja world."

Uchiha Yi smiled shyly, "If it weren't for Teacher Tsunade and Grandma Mito's help, I might not have been able to research it even after five or six years on my own."

"You kid, well done!" Tsunade nodded with satisfaction. It wasn't in vain that she had asked Hatake Sakumo about Lightning Release chakra nature transformation for this kid; this kid really had a conscience.

"Have you thought about a name for this ninjutsu?" Uzumaki Mito thought even more highly of Uchiha Yi. It was a pity that Uchiha Yi was more than ten years younger; otherwise, making him her grandson-in-law seemed like a good idea too.

"Let's just call it Chidori. It perfectly suits the sound of a thousand birds chirping when it's used." Uchiha Yi had no intention of changing the name of Chidori.

He didn't know if Kakashi's Chidori was the same as his, or if his jutsu was the same as the original Chidori. But since Uzumaki Mito had acknowledged his Chidori, then his was the most authentic version.

"Chidori, a good name." Uzumaki Mito nodded in approval: "From now on, it will be called Chidori!"

"Ah, what a pity, I don't have the lightning nature, so I can't learn it at all." Nawaki held the back of his head with both hands, full of regret. After three months, Nawaki and Uchiha Yi had become familiar with each other.

Before, he had even challenged Uchiha Yi, only to reluctantly discover that he was actually inferior to Uchiha Yi, his "junior" who was two years younger than him.

This was a huge blow to Nawaki, but fortunately, he was an optimistic young man. Since he couldn't beat Uchiha Yi now, he would just train harder.

"Nawaki!" Tsunade looked at her younger brother with exasperation. Chidori wasn't that easy to learn. Mastering that kind of nature transformation would give him the strength of a Chunin, and even an average Chunin couldn't control it to that extent. Her silly younger brother was still far from it.

Even if Uchiha Yi really taught Nawaki Chidori, it would take years for Nawaki to learn it. It would be better for him to research his great-uncle's Water Release and Orochimaru's Earth Release; those were most suitable for Nawaki.

Why research Lightning Release when there was a clear path to follow?

"Alright, now that you've developed Chidori, I'm going to start teaching you the Strength of a Hundred Seal. Are you ready?" Tsunade decided that Uchiha Yi absolutely had to learn the Strength of a Hundred Seal, otherwise wouldn't she, as his teacher, seem too useless?

After this period, she had also discovered that although Uchiha Yi was an Uchiha, his physique was not at all inferior to their Senju, and he also had terrifying chakra control abilities. Even if he wasn't an Uchiha, he was suitable to be her disciple.

Why would Uchiha Yi bother with the Sharingan? How much better would it be to follow her and use the Strength of a Hundred Seal?
