Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Tsunade’s Despair

"I plan for Nawaki to apply for early graduation this year. Orochimaru will take him on missions.

The ninja world hasn't been peaceful lately, and war could break out at any time. If you and Mikoto don't apply for early graduation, you won't even have time to adapt.

Graduating early will give you some time to familiarize yourselves with missions. Your strength is also at a point where you should be undertaking missions and growing through combat.

As for Mikoto, if she applies for early graduation, she can be placed in Orochimaru's team.

Once war begins, I can arrange for your teams to work together on missions, as Orochimaru and I likely won't have time to lead you," Tsunade said seriously, her gaze subtly sweeping over Uchiha Mikoto.

If Uchiha Mikoto doesn't seize this opportunity, she might not be able to continue being Orochimaru's disciple later.

If she graduates next year, Uchiha Mikoto would have to report to the Konoha Military Police Force to avoid the battlefield, but such a decision would inevitably lower Tsunade and the others' impression of her.

After all, when war begins, Nawaki will also be on the battlefield.

The Senju clan dislikes war, but they have never feared it.

"Join Lord Orochimaru's team?" Uchiha Mikoto exclaimed in surprise.

Orochimaru was currently the face of Konoha's younger generation of ninja. While Hatake Sakumo was still performing missions in the Anbu, Orochimaru was considered the top genius in the public eye.

Uchiha Mikoto never expected to be considered for such an opportunity.

Although the Uchiha are proud, they also admire strength. Of course, many Uchiha also harbored resentment towards Orochimaru.

During her time at Tsunade's house, Uchiha Mikoto had met Orochimaru before and even received some guidance from him. She never thought he might become her team leader.

"Yes, if you are willing to graduate early, Orochimaru will take you as his disciple. Your strength is similar to Nawaki's, and you have already met the requirements for early graduation.

Of course, if you are unwilling, I won't say anything more," Tsunade said to Uchiha Mikoto with a smile in her voice.

She genuinely hoped Uchiha Mikoto would become Orochimaru's disciple. She was a very cautious and intelligent girl, which would perfectly balance Nawaki's impulsiveness.

It would prevent Nawaki from accidentally getting himself blown up.

Tsunade didn't doubt Nawaki's talent. With ample resources and ninjutsu provided, it was enough for Nawaki to become a strong ninja.

But she worried about Nawaki being targeted in various ways.

A Senju who constantly talks about becoming Hokage is not a good Senju, my foolish brother!

When the war begins, she and Orochimaru will go to the battlefield, and she can let Uchiha Hikari and Nawaki execute missions together, which will also ensure their safety.

Uchiha Hikari now has the strength of a Chunin. If she can grow stronger quickly, then Tsunade won't have to worry.

Uchiha Mikoto looked at Uchiha Hikari, and seeing him nod to her, she said with a determined expression, "I am willing, Lady Tsunade!"

Previously, Uchiha Mikoto had been troubled about whether to join the ranks of mission ninjas or the Konoha Military Police Force.

But since she could become Orochimaru's disciple, becoming a mission ninja seemed like a good option.

She could also go on missions with Hikari later. Refusing would be too ungrateful.

Uchiha Hikari then looked at Uzumaki Kushina: "Will Kushina also graduate early?"

"She won't graduate early, but she will experience missions with you. After the team disbands, Kushina will need to return to the academy to continue her studies.

I might as well tell you, the other person in my team is Hyuga Hiashi. At that time, you might join Orochimaru's team as an individual. Of course, there's also a good chance that two squads will perform missions together. This will depend on everyone's personal wishes and Sarutobi-sensei's thoughts." Tsunade had considered the idea of simply pulling Uchiha Mikoto into her own team.

Unfortunately, two Uchihas in one team was clearly unrealistic.

Uzumaki Kushina lowered her head, looking disappointed, but she didn't throw a tantrum at Tsunade, indicating that she had known about this for a while.

"I will graduate early!" Uchiha Hikari thought for a moment and agreed: "Should I apply as soon as I get back?"

Uchiha Hikari didn't object to Hyuga Hiashi becoming his disciple. Although the Hyuga clan was a bit rigid, the Byakugan was indeed useful.

It was a pity Hiashi wasn't joining Nawaki's team, otherwise Nawaki wouldn't have been killed by explosive tags.

"Just apply three months from now. Sarutobi-sensei will agree quickly!" Tsunade waved her hand: "During these three months, I will teach you the Strength of a Hundred Seal. I hope you can master the basics of it within these three months.

And Mikoto, you can also try learning it. Even if you can't master it, it will help you train your chakra control."

She didn't believe anyone could master the Strength of a Hundred Seal in three months; wouldn't that be embarrassing for her?

"I will work hard!"

.....................

Over the next three months, Uchiha Hikari grew at a pace that left Tsunade in despair.

Three months. Do you know how Tsunade got through those three months?

Uchiha Hikari actually mastered the Strength of a Hundred Seal from scratch, even integrating it into his combat, which made Tsunade begin to doubt herself.

She prided herself on being called a genius by many, but compared to Uchiha Hikari, she didn't seem so outstanding anymore.

And looking at Uzumaki Mito, it seemed she had long anticipated Uchiha Hikari's performance, which made Tsunade wonder if true geniuses were all like this.

Compared to ordinary ninja, she, Tsunade, was indeed a genius, but compared to true geniuses, she was nothing.

Little did she know, Uchiha Hikari had still held back for Tsunade's sake. If he hadn't, learning the Strength of a Hundred Seal in a month would have been more than enough.

Fortunately, when Tsunade later taught Uchiha Hikari medical ninjutsu, she regained her pride.

Medical ninjutsu, wasn't it just a matter of simple study to learn? Why would it require such diligent effort from Uchiha Hikari?

Indeed, when it came to medical ninjutsu, no one was her match. She easily became the best in Konoha, and very likely the best in the ninja world.

And although Uchiha Hikari was a genius, he still couldn't compare to her.

In reality, Uchiha Hikari's speed in researching medical ninjutsu was already very fast, but his heart wasn't in it, and his medical talent wasn't particularly outstanding.
