This action shocked both Mother and Father Xie as before even if Xie Yang was running late he would respond to the yet today he even ignored their concerns!
"Ah-Yang, did you need to go to the school early? You should have told me! I could have prepared something for you to have on the way!"
"Ah-Yang, do you need Dad to drive you to school?"
Seeing that he even ignored them, he must be in a hurry to go to school! He participates in so many things maybe one of them needed him to be early! Maybe his new look is related to that as well!
'That's probably what they're thinking.' Xie Yang smiled contemptuously in his heart.
Seeing them acting so flustered over the assumption that he was late which they made up on their own was kinda funny to him but he still kept a straight face.
"No need."
Xie Yang took a final look at their comically stupefied face before striding out of the house with a light heart.
Mother and Father Xie watched his back until the door closed behind him. At this moment, Xie Yun who had managed to come out of his daze and had gotten ready came into the kitchen to find his parents frozen in shock.
"Mom, Dad what's wrong? Xie Yun asked blankly.
"Is there something wrong with Ah-Yang?" Mother Xie asked having somewhat recovered from the shock.
"I don't know mom but there must be something up because he even smacked me outside the bathroom." Xie Yun explained the incident in hopes of getting an answer for his big brother's unusual behavior.
"Maybe he's stressed from the different competitions he takes part in? After all he has to give the CSAT this time around and he's also the student president?" Father Xie scratched his head while trying to find an explanation for this behavior.
The three confused family members reluctantly accepted this explanation.
Of course, Xie Yang had no knowledge of this but if he knew he would have certainly laughed at their conclusion.
On the way to school, Xie Yang focused on the scenery around him with a sense of nostalgia as he tried to remember where everything was.
It was early in the morning so despite the summer heat, it was rather cool. He walked at a leisurely pace taking in the scenery around him.
Under the warm sunlight, birds chirped in trees bustling about to find something to eat & a soft wind rustled the tree leaves swaying them. At a distance, the sizzling of oil and boiling of soup can be heard from food stalls preparing for the early morning rush bringing with it a delicious smell of various breakfast items.
Tempted by the smell, Xie Yang bought a few items to eat at school. He used to just skip breakfast but after he married Kai, he got used to having breakfast with him.
Even the ordinary trees, single houses, food stalls and convenience stores looked very fascinating to Xie Yang as this area would be developed in the future getting filled with tall buildings and skyscrapers resembling a concrete jungle.
After about 10 minutes, he reached the school gates and was greeted by the school guard as well as other staff that he passed by, all of whom asked about his new style and praised his good looks.
Xie Yang returned their greetings in a joyful manner and made some small talk before finding his way to his classroom.
His school, Zhishi Wubian was a prestigious high school which mainly catered to the children of powerful and/or wealthy people as well as accepting a small number of poor students on scholarships for their various achievements academic or sports related.
Despite it being a school mostly dealing with rich second or third generations who didn't actually need to study as they had a business back home, they can inherit, it surprisingly enforced a rigorous study focused curriculum.
Any failing student would be kicked out no matter the background.
Xie Yang's victory in numerous competitions since young had gotten him an invitation letter while Xie Yun had applied for a scholarship and was accepted for his achievements in playing basketball.
'Where was my classroom again?' Xie Yang thought as he mindlessly strolled through the corridors.
The school was pretty deserted except for a few students who had come early to practice for the school assembly so no one found his wandering unusual.
"Wasn't it 3-C?" A languid voice replied.
An adult man with dark skin and silvery grey hair could be seen following the youth.
His tall, robust body was covered with a simple white shirt with no creases in sight yet it was tight enough for a person to trace his muscles lines with their eyes which was tucked neatly into a pair of black dress pants hiding his tall long legs.
His face showed a matured beauty with a chiseled jawline, tall nose bridge and thin lips.
His eyes were pitch black, so much so that when looking straight at them one would feel that they were gazing into the abyss.
His sword like eyebrows were propped up in an amused expression with a provoking smile on his lips. He had his hands in his pockets, slightly leaning back as he walked a few steps behind the youth giving off a lazy feel.
He would have cut a suspicious figure in the guarded private school yet even the occasional students who saw Xie Yang did acknowledge his presence. As if he was invisible to them.
