After breakfast finished, Nernatti and a few of the more design inclined familia members got straight to work on making the rough plans for the orphanages soon to be built. And while they did that, Hathor started the conversion process for Cole, and Lefiya, officially having them join her familia.
"Usually this wouldn't be possible without Baldr here himself. But my darling husband lets me update these children's statuses as well."
"It doesn't really matter either way, it wouldn't take much effort to force the change. There's five gods here, we can do a lot if we just work together."
"True… Anyway, congratulations Cole, Lefiya. You've both become members of the Hathor familia. Make sure you continue to grow even after this graduation."
"I won't slow down, Lady Idunn!"
"Me- me either!"
Cole ran over towards Shurry, after his conversion, showing the new markings on his back.
"Alpha Shurry! I'm in the same familia now too!"
"Good, now you just need to train. You'll need a bit of an attitude adjustment in a few levels, but you've got time until then." Shurry chuckled. "Alright, you're going to train with Bokhoir and the others first. He's really good at helping others discover their preferred combat style."
"Will you teach me too?"
"Have you not yet been on a hunt before?"
"I have. But that was a long time ago."
"Hmm, get some good training first. Show me some improvement. When you level up, I'll give you something good."
"Really!?"
"Really. So go train well."
Cole ran off to start his training.
"As for you Lefiya, I'll give you something as a welcome gift instead."
"Huh?"
"It just so happens you'll benefit more from having it as early as possible."
Shurry held out a hand, while the timid young elf walked closer, half intrigued, and also half terrified by the powerful man. Above his hand, a ball of light appeared, as he strained…
"Hmm, seems I'm still a bit off from doing it myself. I'll need Luna to do it this time too."
"Luna? Like the moon?"
"Yes…"
In a quick fashion, almost effortlessly, a small little fairy formed out of the ball of light, almost like it popped into existence. The little cutie looked around with an infectious smile.
"This here is your welcome gift, Lefiya. This fairy will help aid you in all of your magic. Will you be her friend?"
Lefiya, having just witnessed a miracle performed right in front of her, was stunned into silence.
"Hey, Lefiya, are you okay?"
Shurry asked, gently placing the back of his hand on her forehead. A touch that Lefiya didn't even flinch from, which was rare among elves, and then she realized what just happened.
"Huh, uh, huh… ehhhh! You created this fairy for me!"
"Yep, that's right."
The fairy floated over to Lefiya, she held out her palms to hold the small, newly created fairy. And one of the cutest smiles the world had ever seen filled the girl's face.
"I love her! She's so cute! We're going to be best friends forever!"
Lefiya did a little dance, spinning around lifting the fairy up and down. After a few complete spins she stopped, and the two nuzzled each other before the fairy went inside Lefiya's soul.
"Thank you, so much!!!! I'll treasure her forever!"
"Yeah, I know you will."
With Lefiya's new friend, she left to begin her training in earnest. Soon after she left, the familia's guard at the front gate let a certain busty goddess through. And so, through the door, she came, in flip flops, and that impossible ribbon…
"Ugh! Where were you!? I finally… Did you level up?" Hestia spoke, as if she was annoyed by the constant searching, and waiting.
"I did, in fact, level up, Lady Hestia. So, what's the message you have for me all about?"
"Oh yeah, it's from Albert, he said that he was going to return to Gekai before you go and deal with the dragon. He seemed awfully confident he could become a god in that amount of time."
Shurry laughed, almost uncontrollably so.
"He's got a long way to go if he wants to match me. Let alone becoming a spirit… Forget about godhood, that's borderline- well, he might actually do it. With how good he is with a sword, he might find a way to cut the time needed."
Hestia's eyes widened in shock. "This is not what I was expecting today… A demi-god, saying things like that… I think I need a drink, I'm feeling dizzy."
"Please don't call me that… I'm a Werewolf, first and foremost. At this point, I'd rather be called Fenrir, than have that lofty title there."
"EHH! HUH! What? Fine… Fenny!"
Shurry sighed… And Hathor took over the conversation.
"Hestia, it's good that you've come. We're drawing up some rough plans to construct orphanages."
"Sounds like money! Yeah! My children have been busy lately, but I can always tell them where to go. Orphanages sound like a good cause, let's see these plans!"
…
So, Hestia joined the rough planning phase, and while it was a good start, she looked at the others, with a curious look in her eyes.
"Do you know how much these materials will cost? They aren't cheap-"
"Lady Hestia, do you know who you're talking to right now?" Nernatti giggled.
"The richest familia in the city."
"And the strongest-"
"That's an understatement, you have that young man, Champion Over Calamity. It's a given you're the strongest."
"So, we plan on sourcing all of the materials ourselves."
"How so?"
"We're going to give the fair market value for all materials, and pay out a bonus to the adventurers collecting the raw materials, and pay the workers a bit more to ensure they do good work."
Hestia's eyes widened… "This plan… It will be… You're injecting money back into the economy, just like that? With the cost of one of these buildings, it could be enough to single handedly stimulate the economy to the point it might be even stronger than before."
"And the added benefit is that it will house, feed, and clothe the children who'd lost everything. Give jobs to the women who'd lost everything, and for the men, it will give them temporary construction related jobs."
"What about permanent jobs?"
"Well, do you think we're going to stop at one project? With Shurry here, we have more money than we know what to do with. And that's after granting practically interest free loans to get the economy back up and functional."
"So, after this, there will be more jobs opening up. And we could even start repairing the whole city!"
"Exactly. So, will you accept the job, Lady Hestia?"
"Of course! Just tell me where you want this gigantic building-"
"Right across the street. The area hasn't been completely demolished, but it's falling apart. Placing it there will ensure its safety, since it will be right next door to the strongest."
"I'll accept the job, but I'd like to have the option to get a few helping hands on occasion."
"Whatever you need, Lady Hestia. We want these built as soon as possible."
"Before the war game?"
"Ideally."
"Say no more! I Hestia, the patron goddess of Hestia familia will do this! Let's rebuild the city, and put smiles on everyone's faces!"
