Those at breakfast noticed the moment Shurry left his room, they had felt him level up before, however, seeing it in person was a whole new sensation entirely. For the average person and up to level 3, it was like a pebble gazing upon a mountain, unable to truly measure how poorly they'd fare against that strength. For the level 4s, 5s, and 6s, it was like a sturdy boulder looking upon a mountain, only to barely see the range in which the mountain belonged to. For the level 7s, they were able to see the range, but unable to grasp the idea of combating it, only possessing the instinctive knowledge they were not capable of dealing with such a power. And as for the lone level 8, and 9 in the room, it was like a large hill, and small mountain, were just realizing how much more there really was to grow.
"Damn, so this is what a level 10's soul is like… Damn, no wonder why it took so much effort for us to fight with such an ability while level 7." Zald chuckled, downing his morning beer.
"That's quite something for sure. But somehow, I don't feel like it's impossible to reach." Leon added, enjoying his drink as well.
"That's because it isn't…" Shurry smirked. "You'll reach this level in time. You just need the right conditions, and from what I can see, several of you down here are close to leveling up."
"So that's what you can see now?"
"More or less, I can pretty much see the exact stats someone has. I'm not exactly sure why, but-"
"If I may interrupt, Shurry, the strength of your soul feels borderline like a god's." One of the level 2s said, clearly confused about things.
"Really?"
Others started nodding.
"Hmm, that's annoying. Oh well I guess. From my perspective, I might as well just be a puppy by comparison to a god…" Shurry chuckled, then looked at the gods who were all having a hard time holding in their laughter. "Though, even that comparison may still very well be extremely far off. It is important to remember the reason I was able to defeat Erebus was not because I was strong, but because Erebus was weakened. I have zero hope in defeating any god in direct combat… At least, that's how it is now. I don't intend on returning to Tenkai without possessing the power to hunt Erebus down for the rest of time. He'll learn the hard way, the meaning of an unforgivable act."
The pressure in the room changed… His expression clearly showed his ferocious rage towards the god who'd killed his unborn child. That was an absolute, and unforgivable affront. And then the atmosphere changed, after his mood cleared.
"Anyway, Mother, how busy are you today?"
"Not too busy, why?"
"I plan on visiting the guild today, and I'd like you to come with me this time."
Hathor smirked, and then giggled. Idunn did as well. Both of the goddesses could tell the moment Shurry mentioned it, that he was thinking of taking her away from there.
"Speaking of the guild, Eina, Misha, the two of you wanted to work there right?"
Eina, the half-elf looked up from her plate, her mouth full of food. She looked at Idunn with a curious expression in her eyes. Then turned to look at Misha, who had a similar expression, and they both finished chewing, and then spoke up.
""We're going to work here! There's so much to do! And lot's of amazing food!""
"Miss Oxlene is incredibly nice too. She taught us all about the management of accounts." Eina added.
"Yeah! And this is also the safest place in the world. With the big champ over there. Good food, great parties, fun work, and perfect protection!"
"Pfft, well, it seems I ended up delivering a handful of members to you Hathor. Sorry about that."
"I don't mind it. They're cute girls. I'm sure they'll be treated well here. I'd be more worried about that guard you brought with you, Leon's already put a little one in the oven."
"Huh? Leon, is that true?"
Leon gulped, and poured more of the morning beverage for himself. "Well, one thing sorta led to another. And, well… Yeah I sorta, already…"
"Uncle Leon, you're not going and getting yourself into trouble now, are you?" Shurry teased.
"No, not really, she and I just clicked. And it happened."
"No judgement from me. I'm not really in a position too… On another note, it looks like Tiona, and Tione are getting along with the others, and those two, Eina, and Misha have also found themselves enjoying this place-"
"You got that right! Woohoo! Hero man!"
Shurry cringed internally for a moment and then sighed. "What about the others you brought with you, Mother? Think it was a werewolf, Cole, and an elf, Lefiya? Do they also wish to stay?"
"They were chosen for this mission due to their skills, and perhaps they'd do better here."
Cole Kuster, the werewolf, took a moment from tearing through his meat heavy portion of breakfast to look up at Shurry. The tail wag said it all. Shurry smirked and batted his tail a little in response. Cole's expression lit up, and then went back to eating.
"Ugh! Why can't you ever just speak! It's all of these weird gestures that just happen and suddenly everything's set!"
"Pfft, so you're Lefiya. What do you want to do?"
"I was hoping to learn from the Elf Princess, but…"
"I don't recommend that-"
"I know, she's a murderer! But I still need to learn properly, so Lady Nernatti will teach me. And maybe Miss Alfia, and Meteria too!"
"Looks like I ended up causing a problem for my father… Sorry papa Baldr, looks like Mother is taking some more members."
"Oh don't worry about it too much. Learning here might be better for them. Just, Nernatti, when Malik comes by next time. Do try your best not to wrap him around your finger too. I'd prefer to still have a power house to call upon on that ship."
"I'll do my best, Lady Idunn."
Shurry stretched. "Alright, what's the situation in Orario?" He asked, sitting down with Hathor and the other gods, they explained everything that was gathered, of course all members had been helping gather that info. And… "This is a huge problem for sure."
"Indeed, there's still not enough jobs to go around, and even if there were, there isn't enough money to pay them for the jobs…"
"Evilus did a lot of damage. And all of the merchants who colluded with them have been brought under custody. I heard Shakti nearly beat one of them to death, something they said about the merchant still thinking it was worth it."
Shurry's eyes narrowed, a piercing gaze took over. "Did she kill him?"
"No, she stopped just short."
"Good, I'd like to see that moron say that shit to my face." He then took a breath and calmed down. "Alright, Mother, I'd like to use the familia's funds to construct orphanages. Construct them and provide a place for many to work, and for the children to live, growing up in a less broken environment."
"That's a noble cause, but are you sure? This will make it more difficult for you, your image will further improve."
"Yeah, I can deal with a little extra attention. That's a small price to pay for ensuring none of them turn towards evil while in their despair… Hestia familia could build them. But, I'll be sourcing the materials personally."
"You're going to use that stuff?"
"Best to keep them all safe, right?"
"You're going to be a good papa. I can't wait!"
