It's been six months after that guy died, trying to help my hero Sigurd to know how to control that ability of his, and getting to know how he came to be was the best part. A kid with that kind of blessing will be invaluable to lose. I Maked him my friend, simple and direct, he will need me and ill teach him, pass on some knowledge maybe making poisons. I'll have him to be indebted to me, and turn him to my knight. Trust and loyalty in me that's immovable, but first we'll need the same goal, same wish.

Adam taught Sigurd ways to make poisons with what he could gain, slowly as he pushes him to a direction he wants. A way to push him to grow stronger, can't have his future knight being weak. Slowly and steady teaching him language, giving advice and helping him till they were close.

"Hey Adam, have you learnt magic?"
"Nope, can't find anything on it, no book or notes. Can get help from someone on the outside but that will take a while."
"I think I found something that can help."
[He looks at him, stops what his doing.] "And why we still here, take me there."
[They walk all the way outside the city, to the forest. In a hole, a dead, skeletonized man in robes and books on the side is there.]
"It's deep, so I brought a rope, and since your skinner i thought you might fit in it."
"Nice job Sigurd, [ties one end on him,] you pull me when I call your name." As he scales into the hole.
I'm kinda surprised he found this place just when his sent for herbs. Is it luck or some unforseen force helping him. Can't really complain about this for the moment.
[He arrives at the bottom, grabs the book.] "Lift Sigurd. "
[He pulls him up to the surface. ]
"Now, let's go back. I'll go through it and tell you tomorrow, might help you in explaining and examine it later."
"OK, will talk tomorrow."
[Later at night in his room.]
This book really teaches how to use magic.
***
The book's contents.
First, to use magic you have to feel mana, the energy of the world. Can call it life energy of everything, feeling it and let it flow through your body, to your heart.
Create a mana flow going circular around your heart, thus this will make a mana circle. Making the first circle is simple, as later your attribute will show on the 3rd circle, following that it gets harder, either by body being weak or like me, reached my limit.
Following this is aura. Unlike mana for mages that circulates in the heart, this flows through the body infusing the person and object with it. This though the hardest to achieve brings the person who wields it a unique ability to the wielder.
Do as you wish with the knowledge further from here, do not fall into the dark path to gain power like me. Listen to the words of a worthless mage that tried.

It seems that this guy went through it, but don't worry about it, I'll put this to good use.
[Next day.]
"So what did you learn, can you teach me."
"Yea but I think I'll teach you the fundamentals of aura."
"Why, magic seems more fun."
"You got a gift to regenerate, if pushing yourself physically and mentally was hard for you, I wouldn't have suggested it. You can do this, I know you can."
Breaths in and out. "OK, when do I start."
"Right now, [pulling out a paper with a workout regimen.] Don't worry, I'll join you but mine will be lighter."
[He looks at it dumbfounded. ] "Are you trying to kill me."
"Nooo...[hold his shoulder, ] I'm making you stronger, for our future. Remember turning sixteen, we leave this place."
"And what we going to do for work when we're adults."
"Leave that to me, I'll handle that when the time comes. Let's handle what's infront of us." [He starts to walk away.]
"And the workout?"
"Do it. If not, no meat for stew today."

Adam and Sigurd started the work in both there respective areas. Started out hard with it being they only got the basics of mana circle and aura creation, but they soon figure out they need there out way to continue from the basics. Techniques that can be taught from prestigious schools or noble families, but Adam had something in mind. If he can't find a way to learn it, he will make it, even if it kills him. And in eight months, when turning nine for both Sigurd and Adam, he finally made it for both of them.

"He sig, [giving him a small note book.] This is an aura style that suits you, for now that it. Cause the book says that for what weapon you used, it needs to be in harmony with one's self, if you get what I mean, right."
[Taking the book,] "Yea I get it. And what about you, got any mana techniques you made?"
"Dumb question for you to ask but yea. It's a rough draft of an incomplete one but now, [creates a mana ball,] I can make mana physical now."
"Wow, cool. I've not yet made it but I'm gonna catch up to you sooner than you think."
"Waiting for that. And did you notice the father acting wierd or is it just me."
"Yea and some kids getting adopted faster than last year, you think this got to do with it."
"Possible, [as he pulls out a paper holding his map.] Wanna follow him to were his going."
"Yea, but you owe me one if for this madness were doing."
"Deal."
[Later that night.]
The father locks his room and goes down to the centre of the city, Adam and Sigurd following behind, slowly not to get caught. They see him go to a sketchy path to a rag down building protected by some shady guys.
"What we gonna do. We got no way through the front."
"We just got to go through the back then, make our own way. "
They go round the building and see the concrete, though looks weak.
"Seems like we can take out four sections and fit through the hole."
He concentrates and makes mana into a sharp finger blade chisel out the space needed.
"Let's go."
They fit through and follow down some badly hidden stairs, passing through and hiding behind some boxes.

What they find is an underground black market, selling everything from weapons and materials, to people and kids. Soon seeing the father had already at a dealer planning to sell kids to a slave trader.

"Now I think we're in real deep."
