Just as Filip said this, the dense forest opened up and they could see the glimmer of an old temple.

We can check them out before we explore the temple after a way in, said Filip.
Rio nodded in response before he and Filip walked towards the nearest statue.
The statue was just over two meters tall. had four legs. and a large and well-detailed tail.
Rio could only imagine what the big statues must have looked like in the past.
Unfortunately, they are old now and it is very difficult to judge what they would have represented in the past.
Rio thought maybe it should be a proud cat like in Egypt. Or a stately wolf. Maybe even a cunning wolf.
Rio looked at Filip who was inspecting the statue and said that they should split up so that they can find an entrance to the temple as quickly as possible.

None of them had found a way in, but Filip had found a staircase that led all the way up to the top of the pyramid.
They both climbed the pyramid and found strange runes on the way up, Of course they couldn't understand it, but it gave an insight into how special this temple was.
They continued upwards past many different beautiful runes and came to the top where they found another statue, This one made of copper with all details intact.
Rio looked at it and then asked Filip is it was a fox.
Filip nodded, I think so. but one thing I'm sure of is that we have reached the entrance to the temple.
Rio looked at his friend and said, "You're probably right."

Filip turned towards the spiral stairs, lit a flashlight and started walking.

Filip went with his friend but he was hypnotized by the statues beauty and walked straight into a stone pillar. which caused him to lose his balance and fall.
Luckily Rio caught him before he hit the ground.
Filip looked at his friend and was about to thank him, but froze.
Rio was stunned when he saw Filip's face.
And started shaking the shock out of him.
Filip just pointed and when Rio understood what he meant it was too late.
