Chapter 1 - The Purple Cube

The sun was relentless as I walked home from school, beating down on my head like it had a personal vendetta. My hoodie didn't help with the heat, but I liked it too much to care. Today was the last day of high school, and summer vacation had finally begun. Me and the guys had been talking about it all week we were planning a trip to Long Beach. The thought made me smile.

I live in Riverside, California. A quiet suburb with clean streets, green lawns, and new houses that all kind of look the same. It's the kind of place where neighbors wave when they pass you by, and kids ride their bikes without worry. I liked it here. It was peaceful.

"My name's Theron Valeheart. Eighteen. Brown skin, black hair starting to grow into a little Afro. Five eight. Brown eyes," I thought to myself as I walked, repeating it like a mantra. "No abs, no pecs but hey, the arms are coming along."

I glanced down at my clothes. I was wearing my favorite hoodie a black Jack Skellington pullover I got from Hot Topic at the mall. It didn't have a zipper, just some dark buttons going down the front. Jack's head was stitched on the back, looking all creepy and cool. The sleeves and hood were gray, and underneath I had a white t-shirt. My jeans were black, somewhat tight but comfortable, and I wore red Nikes that popped against the rest of my outfit.

Around my neck hung a silver dog tag on a chain. No name, no number. Just a smooth piece of metal with orange flames etched into it something my uncle in the military gave me. He said it was one of a kind. I wore it every day.

The weight of my backpack was pulling on my shoulders, filled to the brim with textbooks I wouldn't need anymore. I sighed in relief at the thought.

"Man I'm so glad school's over," I muttered, stopping at the corner of my street. I pulled out my phone and checked the time. 4:21 PM.

I stared at the screen for a second, squinting against the sunlight. "Figures. Mom and Dad probably won't be home until late. It's Friday, after all," I said aloud, stuffing the phone back into my pocket. "But tomorrow Long Beach, baby. Finally some fun."

I picked up the pace as I turned the corner and headed toward my house. The familiar sight of our white two story home with the trimmed hedges and blue door brought a weird sense of comfort. I reached into my pocket, pulled out the keys, and unlocked the door.

"Home sweet home," I said, stepping inside. I shut the door behind me and locked it, habitually. The silence inside was heavy. Peaceful, but kinda eerie. I walked up the stairs to my room, tired but excited. I could finally relax. No homework, no exams, no teachers breathing down my neck.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my Iphone. It was black with a scratched screen, but it still worked. Pulling out some earbuds which were tangled but It was something that i'm used to it. As I opened my bedroom door, I stopped surprised by what I saw.

There was something under my blanket.

"What the hell?" I whispered, taking a cautious step forward. A cube shaped lump sat squarely in the middle of my bed, like a gift someone left and tried to hide. It doesn't seem like something my parents would do but who the hell would break into my room just to leave a box?

My heart started pounding. My gut said something was off.

I slowly approached the bed and reached out, gripping the edge of the blanket with my fingers. "Please don't be a rat, I would just burn my whole house down if it was," I whispered to myself.

With one swift motion, I yanked the blanket off.

"What the hell am I looking at?"

It was a cube glowing faintly, and it was purple. Not painted purple or lit up by LEDs. It pulsed with a faint, otherworldly glow. I leaned closer, inspecting it without touching it but hell call me curious cause it did look kinda cool.

"Where did this come from? Is this some kind of prank from my friends before our trip?" I said, backing up slightly. "Okay, okay don't panic it's not like it could hurt me right? Maybe one of the guys snuck in and left it. Jordan? Nah, he doesn't even know where I live. Marcus? Hell no. He hates stuff like this, probably call me a idiot for even thinking it was him."

I unzipped my backpack, pulled out a pencil, and held it like a weapon ready to use it like John Wick.

"Alright, weird alien cube let's see what you're made of."

I poked it "Hey are you alive little buddy".

That's when I knew I just fucked up.

"Whoa WHAT THE HELL?!" I screamed as purple tentacles exploded out from the cube, wrapping around my wrist and pulling me forward with terrifying force. " Noooo!! Don't I'm innocent guy, with so much to live for you perverted Box"

"NOPE. NOPE. NOPE!"

I dropped the pencil and grabbed the bed frame with my free hand. "This shit is trying to take my innocence WHAT THE FUCK!" My heart raced as I fought to stay put. The tentacles wrapped around my legs, torso, and arms like they were alive flexing like they had muscles.

"Let go! LET GO!" I shouted, kicking and struggling. "I just wanted to go to the beach man and pick up some hot chicks, not be raped by some tentacles like some anime girl!"

I couldn't hold on much longer this freaky bitch really wanted me. My grip slipped, and I was yanked off the bed with brutal strength. My scream caught in my throat as the cube opened wide, swallowing me whole.

My Vision turned purple.

I was surrounded by glowing walls of pulsing light, spinning and distorting in impossible shapes. I was no longer falling I was being dragged downward, deeper and deeper into some kind of void.

"Somebody help me I'm being swallowed hole wtf is this vore!" I screamed, but no sound came out. My voice was eaten by the darkness.

The tentacles coiled tighter. I could barely breathe.

"No stop! I can't breathe"

My vision began to blur. The walls twisted into strange symbols. My lungs burned. I reached out weakly, but my arms were pinned. The last thing I saw was a flash of deep violet light and a flicker of something a silhouette with glowing eyes before everything went black.

And that is how I got Swallowed by someone's mother.
