I headed straight for my bedroom with a straight face, even though I felt like the devil inside. I could not get the thought that Magnus might be innocent out of my head, and I couldn't make myself stop feeling guilty.
It was possible that Alpha Vincent was only trying to get into my head with the words, and it was possible that he was right as well, so yeah, he succeeded, he got into my head.
Mira's sudden gasp pulled me out of my thoughts, and I faced her. But I couldn't fake a smile. Even though she looked at me with so much excitement.
"Thank the Luna goddess you are back, and okay. I was worried sick about you." She called excitedly, but I just wasn't in the mood for all that. But she continued anyway.
"I was shocked when I came back, and couldn't find you by the bunker. I thought–I feared something bad had happened to you." Mira said, showing just how worried she had felt yesterday.
