Chapter 55 - Chapter 55: Meeting the Gungans (1)

(Jayden's PoV)

An hour later, we were back on our ships, back to Naboo.

My master and I took our ship, while Qui-gonn and Kenobi, alongside Anakin, took the Naboo team's ship. As we entered Coruscant, so shall we depart, but in better health and with more resources, too.

I mean, the Queen planned to liberate Naboo, and that can't be done with a few Jedi tricks and speeches. It would consume resources.

Our ships are small and could only hoard a small amount, but that was better than none. These resources would be helpful in reclaiming Naboo as soon as possible, although that would be a lengthy process.

If not for the fact that Anakin accidentally destroyed the ship that had the control hub, which controlled the thousands of droids that occupied the Naboo, the war would have never ended in favour of the Naboo Queen. They would have lost the battle, and Naboo might have become a subsidiary of the Trade Federation.

If Anakin fails, then Naboo will be gone from the Republic. When the Clone Wars occur, it would become a CIS stronghold, rather than a world of the Republic.

Though I have spent very little time on Naboo, this is where my parents live. This is my home world. I can't let it fall into those scummy hands of the Trade Federation. They would burn Naboo, and even if I save the Republic at the end, it might be too late for Naboo. I am sure about that.

So, I can't just depend on Anakin's luck.

Moreover, if I want to win Padmé's affection, then I have to shine a bit, but that much shining would attract Palpatine's attention.

I am sure that even though Anakin was present, I felt his gaze on me when we arrived on Coruscant that day.

For the Force-weilders, there is no luck, chance or something like that. Everything is connected, and my presence there when Anakin appeared —well, I don't need to say what kind of paranoid thoughts must have been surging through Palpatine's mind.

He might be strong at the moment, but not stronger than Yoda. If the entire Jedi Order moves against him, both he and his master would turn into dust, which I am sure about, even Palpatine was sure about that.

The reason why they started a war was not just to consume the Jedi's Physical Power, but also to consume them mentally. They wanted the Jedi to question themselves for their actions and fall to the dark side.

It was not just designed for the Jedi. They wanted the galaxy to fall to the dark side. Also, I think that the Sith wanted to train an army capable of fighting back properly and who would be the best teachers for them, Jedi and a war.

Jedi taught the Clones how to fight properly, and during the war, they weeded out the weak clones, leaving the surviving ones with a great deal of experience.

If any army appears, they would be more than prepared to fight them. If not for the short lifespan of the clones, the program might have extended forever. Yes, I learned that the Empire shut down the Clone project in Rebels.

It was because they aged rapidly.

Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor became quite old in less than two decades. They were supposed to be in their thirties at that time, but they appeared to be close to sixties or seventies during the Rebels.

The reason why I am blabbing about the army is because of what was planned to happen next.

We are returning to Naboo to reclaim it, but there is a problem. It was currently under the occupation of the Trade Federation.

The Trade Federation blockades the space, while droid soldiers have occupied Theed, the capital city. Though they have yet to fully occupy the planet, as it is a vast one, and not every place can be occupied in so little time.

They thought that as long as the Queen was captured and forced to sign the papers, they believed the occupation would become legal, but they didn't anticipate the Jedi interfering and disrupting everything they had planned.

They lost the Queen, but with our return to Naboo, they get another chance at capturing her and making the invasion legal, and not even the Supreme Chancellor can do anything regarding the matter.

Everyone advised her regarding the return, but she couldn't wait and see her people suffer in the meantime. This is what made her a great Queen, but also a dumb one.

To retake Naboo, the first and most important thing we need is an Army, something that we lack. The Jedi doesn't have one. The Senate has meagre troops, which were not readily available.

There was only one choice that remained.

The Naboo Queen had to turn towards the only place on Naboo where she could get an army, the sea.

Gungan.
