Chapter 133 - 132-Life at the Estate

"Young Master Sieg, please follow me this way..."

Led by the butler, Sieg and Luna walked side by side through a long forest path.

As for Gerald, he returned to continue his unfinished experiment, hurriedly bidding farewell.

"Hmph, annoying Daddy, all he ever does is work on experiments~" Luna kicked at a pebble on the ground, speaking with clear dissatisfaction.

The butler leading them ahead offered an excuse for his master: "Miss, please be understanding. After all, the master is the pillar of the entire Solance family, and this experiment is a collaboration with Devon Corporation."

As a butler, it was naturally his duty to explain and defend his master. In fact, without this butler's mediation over the years, the father-daughter relationship might have become quite strained.

"Young Master Sieg, this is your room."

After walking through a long, luxurious corridor, they finally stopped at a second-floor room in the estate after various turns.

Sieg smiled and nodded to the butler, then followed the chattering Luna inside.

"Sieg, let me tell you, this room was mine when I was little..."

Entering the room, Sieg found it filled with a girlish atmosphere, decorated predominantly in white and pink, with dolls scattered across the floor.

Luna seemed somewhat embarrassed, stuck out her tongue, and hurriedly gathered the dolls into a box.

And so, Sieg took up residence in this estate.

It needs to be said that these League prominent families were truly extravagant, a household of merely three people employed over a hundred servants.

Additionally, he could often see a fenced research center on the opposite side of the estate.

Luna's father, Gerald, had locked himself in the research center since returning that day, with numerous research personnel coming and going in the interim.

Near midday, Sieg concentrated intently on the black sludge in the container before him.

This was a trophy he'd looted from the couple who had ambushed him in the desert. He'd been so busy with Sandile and potion preparation that he'd nearly forgotten about the Black Sludge.

"Now add a drop of toxin extracted from Ariados's venom sac... Finally, just keep it frozen at low temperature for 24 hours and it's complete."

Sieg wore specially made gloves, carefully dropping a single drop of purple poison from a nearby reagent jar.

Looking at the potion that was just one step away from completion, Sieg's mood lifted. After removing his gloves, he prepared to clean up the scattered bottles and containers on the table.

At that moment, a clear, pleasant voice came from the doorway.

"Sieg, Luna's here to bring you lunch~"

Luna held a tray with a steaming bowl of noodles on it, appearing rather simple.

But Sieg knew the meat sauce topping was quite valuable, reportedly made from Torchic meat, specially processed through complex procedures.

"Luna, thank you for your hospitality. I won't be shy then."

Sieg didn't refuse. In fact, his taste buds had genuinely got the beetter of him this time.

Perhaps premium ingredients really could be cooked into delicious food? Or was it that the Solance family's chef possessed exceptional skills?

"Hehe, it's no problem, Sieg. Besides, didn't I tell you to just call me Moon?"

Luna pouted and sat down in a nearby chair.

Sieg chuckled and shook his head, beginning to eat lunch. After all, after a morning of poison preparation, he was indeed quite hungry.

Luna watched Sieg eating heartily, her eyes narrowing like crescent moons, lips curving upward, feeling quite satisfied.

"It wasn't in vain that I had the chef make over a thousand dishes to finally find what Sieg likes to eat," Luna thought to herself.

As the pampered little princess of the Solance family, she naturally couldn't understand hardship or knew the value of the ingredients she'd wasted.

In the girl's view, as long as Sieg was satisfied, everything was worthwhile.

"Besides, Sieg is so amazing, he's even a Pokémon Breeder!" Luna noticed the equipment and various containers in the corner of the table, inevitably feeling renewed admiration for Sieg.

Soon, lunch was finished and a maid collected the dishes.

Seeing Luna had no intention of leaving, Sieg simply conducted various breeding research in front of her.

After all, what he needed to do now was display his talents and try to gain benefits from the Solance family, they still hadn't given him a reward for saving Luna.

The more talent he displayed, the more willing the Solance family would be to establish good relations with him, potentially making any reward more generous.

Of course, if possible, he'd still choose not to accept a reward, but rather let it remain as a favor owed.

However, Senior Gerald didn't seem willing to give him that opportunity.

"Luna... uh, Moon, could you help me with something? Could you have your Glaceon freeze this for storage?"

Sieg understood the secrets of interpersonal relationships well ,to quickly grow closer, you needed to ask the other party to help with small, harmless favors.

Of course, he also had some ulterior motives, somewhat similar to compliance testing from his previous life.

Luna naturally wouldn't refuse, and hearing Sieg call her "Moon" made sweet feelings rise in her heart.

She couldn't help but think of the romance novel she'd read last night, showing a shy expression on her face.

"Come out, Frost. Please use Icy Wind to freeze this." Luna obediently complied with his request.

The "Frost" she mentioned was naturally Glaceon. Sieg speculated that the Blizzard TM Luna had purchased at the black market was probably for this Pokémon.

As for why Luna had bought a Kadabra, Sieg had also indirectly probed for information over the past few days.

Apparently, it was to teach her Glaceon a move called Barrier.

(Barrier: Creates a sturdy barrier, greatly raising the user's Defense.)

To spend 300,000 Pokédollars just to teach a single move was truly wasteful.

Moreover, the Solance family had dedicated move tutor Pokémon and move tutors.

The girl probably just wanted something novel.

"Brother Sieg, you can even make poison! This bottle of poison would probably be very popular with Poison-type Pokémon, right?"

Pure-hearted Luna didn't think of the poison in terms of murder or destroying evidence, simply assuming it was a tonic prepared for Poison-type Pokémon.

As for why the girl wasn't afraid of poison but instead seemed interested, that related to this world's unique characteristics.

Poison was even legal in certain places, as Poison-type Pokémon were extremely important.

Trainers with Poison-type Pokémon represented a large base population, you couldn't exactly prevent them from feeding their Poison-types.

Especially in cities with Poison-type Gyms, poison was particularly popular.
