Chapter 134 - 133-Investigation and Training

In a luxuriously opulent room, Gerald sat behind a desk, leafing through documents.

After completing the final stages of his experiment, Gerald finally had time to leave the research center and return to the estate, once again resuming his dignified family patriarch image.

"So, has the investigation into Sieg been completed?"

Gerald set down his documents and adjusted his glasses. His demeanor radiated natural authority, a far cry from his research fanatic appearance.

Those who could rise to the position of family patriarch were never mediocre.

Gerald simply had the quirk of being somewhat obsessed with research.

In reality, he was both a highly capable trainer and a brilliant scientific scholar.

"Master, the investigation is complete. Here is his information, though some areas remain somewhat obscure." The butler bowed as he handed over a well-organized dossier, his tone carrying a hint of apology.

Gerald casually accepted it and flipped through the pages, not forgetting to say: "Our family's focus has primarily been on research and business circles. We haven't delved deeply into politics or trainer affairs, so this isn't your fault."

As Gerald reviewed the documents, when he saw Sieg's Level 2 clearance, suspected to have been upgraded by a Gym Leader, he frowned slightly.

As a family's controller, and moreover as a daughter's father.

He paid extremely close attention to his descendants and potential heirs. Every friend Luna made underwent detailed investigation.

Sieg's background appeared clean, he was from a small island in the southern seas, with parents who were island guardians of the previous generation, part of the League's direct registry, granting him affiliated status from birth.

However, because his parents hadn't paid training fees, he hadn't received a starter Pokémon. (Some said affiliated members don't get starters, filling in this plot hole here.)

"Outstanding breeding talent, praised as a genius breeder in Rustboro City?"

Gerald reviewed the documents, noting that Sieg's past experiences were described extremely briefly, with no description of how or where he learned Pokéblock creation.

Reading through it completely, it seemed he was simply a prodigy who had self-taught his way to becoming a Junior Breeder.

This appeared normal enough, after all, in such a vast world, a few incredible prodigies emerged every year.

But Gerald sensed something unusual.

"Master, shall we mobilize family connections for a more thorough investigation?" the butler asked politely.

Gerald rose and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at Sieg chatting happily with his daughter on the lawn outside.

"No need. Who doesn't have secrets?"

"This isn't a major issue. Moreover, he has a Level 2 clearance, some important figure might be backing him. While our Solance family fears neither Champion nor Regional President, there's no need to provoke trouble unnecessarily."

Gerald looked at Sieg's figure with a face full of contemplation, speaking in a low voice.

The estate's training lawn

Sieg was training his Pokémon here, while Luna sat on the grass with her knees hugged, quietly watching, unable to hide the affection in her eyes.

"Sandile, use Stomp!"

Upon hearing the command, Sandile forcefully stomped the ground, sending rippling waves of across the ground.

Sieg nodded to himself, quite satisfied.

After consuming potions infused with rare ground minerals, combined with Sandile's already exceptional Ground-type talent.

Sandile had now become proficient in Ground-type moves, especially displaying impressive talent when learning Ground-type techniques.

In such a short time, it could already use the newly learned Stomp so skillfully. Sieg could already envision Krookodile devastating opponents with Earthquake in the future.

"Sieg, training must be tiring. Come have some fruit." Luna resembled a newlywed wife welcoming her husband home, appearing extremely attentive.

Sieg called back Murkrow, who had been practicing aerial maneuvers, before accepting the towel Luna handed him and wiping sweat from his forehead.

The fruit Luna mentioned was naturally the special variety from Tropius.

The banana-like fruits hanging from Tropius's lower jaw weren't actually bananas, they were a cluster of special yellow fruits that resembled bananas.

These fruits were extremely sweet and beloved by children.

Due to their high yield, producing twice annually, some people raised large numbers of Tropius specifically to harvest these special yellow fruits.

Sieg naturally accepted the fruit the girl offered, saying helplessly: "Moon, you really don't need to stay here watching me train."

Luna showed a purely innocent expression: "But I like being with Sieg!"

On the estate lawn, Sieg and his Pokémon freely exerted themselves, with Murkrow and Sandile released for rigorous training.

Umbreon had naturally become friends with Luna's Glaceon, after all, they evolved from the same species.

As for Crawdaunt and Sharpedo, Sieg didn't rashly release them, because although this training lawn was specially constructed to withstand certain levels of attack, it was only suitable for Pokémon below level 30.

As the sun set, the evening twilight was beautiful.

Sieg breathed lightly, beginning to prepare dinner for his Pokémon, pouring out pre-made Pokéblocks and Pokémon food all at once.

The Pokémon, already starving after a full day's training, didn't hesitate. After receiving Sieg's nod of approval, they quickly found their respective food bowls and began demolishing the food before them.

Naturally, this included various nutritional supplements, such as Calcium tablets and Energy Powder.

Additionally, each Pokémon had favorite foods that needed to be specially added to their meals.

For instance, Sandile absolutely loved milk, but it had to be fresh milk produced by Skiddo.

What could he do with his own Pokémon?

Spoil them, of course~

In Pokémon care, Sieg naturally exhausted every effort to fully satisfy his Pokémon's needs.

"Come on, Frost, time for dinner~"

Luna was also preparing various Pokéblocks and nutritional supplements for her Pokémon.

Watching from the side, Sieg's eye twitched as he saw Luna prepare snacks for Glaceon, they were actually made from Never-Melt Ice.

While that piece of Never-Melt Ice wasn't high quality, being less than a year old, it still cost twenty to thirty thousand Pokédollars per piece.

And she was adding it to Glaceon's meals as a casual snack.

Sieg once again marveled at such extravagant wealth. Actually, Sieg could provide this level of care for his Pokémon too, but only for one or two of them.

After all, while his training funds seemed substantial, averaging them across five Pokémon wouldn't last long.

Sieg's training plans were absolutely optimal for his Pokémon, but they were also quite expensive, while not matching Luna's extravagance, they far exceeded ordinary trainers' expenditures.

Money earned quickly, but spent quickly too.

"Um, Sieg, in a few days, Fallarbor Town is organizing a Pokémon Exchange Festival. Want to go together?"

Luna suddenly thought of something and asked with hopeful anticipation.
