Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 — A Game Interrupted

Dice clattered across the table, bouncing off snack wrappers and a half-finished character sheet.

"Nat 20!" Elijah shouted, pumping his fist into the air. "The dragon doesn't stand a chance!"

Callum rolled his eyes. "You're only happy because your barbarian is too scared to run like a normal person."

"We don't run," Elijah replied proudly. "We advance in a different direction."

Lily laughed, crossing her arms with that smug strategist grin she always wore when she knew something no one else did."In exactly two turns," she said, "you're all going to regret rushing into the lair without scouting."

Shaden scribbled notes quietly, always the emotional heart of the group, always preparing for consequences none of us saw coming.

And me? I leaned back in my seat, staring at the battlemat.

"I'm telling you," I said calmly, "the Dungeon Master is setting us up. That dragon isn't the final boss. Look at the terrain — there's another room behind it."

They all paused. Looked. Blinked.

Elijah groaned. "Stop being a genius in every game too, Isaac."

We laughed — hard — because it was true and because this moment felt like life at its absolute best: friends, snacks, and a story we controlled.

But then—

BOOM.

The floor trembled. The lights above flickered.Something cracked like thunder inside the house.

"What the hell was—"

A blinding flash.

White electricity burst from the ceiling — not a lightning bolt but something alive — bending and twisting with purpose.

Before any of us could move—

CRASH — SNAP — CRACK

Lightning struck all five of us at once.

It didn't hurt.It erased.

The table.The room.My body.Gone.

Darkness swallowed everything.

For a moment, I thought I had died. Then voices echoed from nowhere and everywhere.

"I-Isaac…?" Lily's voice trembled.

"I'm here," I answered… though I had no mouth.

Elijah spoke next. "Where are we?!"

"I can't feel anything," Shaden whispered, fear and emotion bleeding through the words.

Callum's tone sharpened. "If this is one of your pranks, it isn't funny."

I tried to stay calm — it was always my role — but the abyss stretched endlessly in every direction, and there was no ground beneath us, no air, no shape.

Just a formless void.

And then—

A presence arrived.

A booming, amused voice echoed through the emptiness:

"Finally! I was worried I'd have to strike you twice.Welcome, my little players, to my favorite game."

A figure appeared…Liquid light forming the outline of a man — no, something more — an omnipotent being who smiled like a god who had seen eternity and gotten bored of it.

"You died, yes…But don't worry — death is merely a loading screen."

His eyes glowed brighter than a supernova.

"You love games, don't you?So let's play one together."

I felt my pulse race — except I didn't have a heart anymore.

The God continued, grinning with childlike mischief:

"I created the Naruto world. And now…I want you to run it for me."

We all froze.

"Choose your villages. Lead them. Shape their destiny. And for my amusement…I'll throw the Marvel Universe into the mix!"

The void vibrated with his laughter — massive, wild, unpredictable.

"Entertain me…or perish again. Your choice."

And just like that, five glowing icons appeared before us:

🌿 Leaf — Konoha🌊 Mist — Kirigakure🗻 Stone — Iwagakure🏜️ Sand — Sunagakure⚡ Cloud — Kumogakure

The God looked directly at me.

"Isaac goes first. After all…a genius should lead the way."

My friends watched, waiting for my decision.

The moment stretched — terrifying, thrilling — as power and destiny hovered in front of my nonexistent hands.

I took a breath I didn't technically need.

"I choose," I said, voice steady —

"The Hidden Leaf Village."

And the game began.
