Linda continued her daily routine, visiting the gym with her friends to train and hone her martial arts skills. She was determined to prove herself, especially to Master Kwon, and worked diligently on her techniques. One day, after a fun-filled gym session, they decided to visit an art gallery, admiring various artworks on display.
As the evening drew to a close, Sophia reminded Linda about the party the next day. "Hey, Linda, don't forget about the party tomorrow! You should probably start getting ready," Sophia said with a smile.
Linda casually brushed it off. "Oh, don't worry, I've got it covered. I've already got everything planned out."
But once she got home and began searching her wardrobe, Linda felt overwhelmed. She wasn't particularly fond of fancy dressing or fashion, and her wardrobe reflected that. She rummaged through her clothes, hoping something would magically stand out, but everything seemed dull and uninteresting.
As Linda rummaged through her wardrobe, searching for the perfect outfit for the party, she grew more faultrated. "What am I going to wear? Oh my goodness," she muttered to herself, frustration growing.
She tossed aside a few dresses, then shook her head, dismissing them. "No, no, no. None of these are right." She sighed, feeling overwhelmed.
As she stood there, her eyes wandered around the room. That's when she spotted the money on her coffee table - the money the mysterious man had given her the day she arrived as Seoul. Her gaze lingered on it for a moment, and then a thought struck her. "I could use this to buy a new outfit," she thought.
Linda's face lit up with excitement. Yes, that's exactly what she would do. She would use the money to go shopping and find the perfect dress for the party. With her newfound idea, Linda grabbed the money and headed out to the garage. She picked up her bike, and put the money in her pocket. She felt a sense of excitement and anticipation as she prepared to go shopping for a new outfit. With her bike ready, she rode out of the garage and pedaled towards the nearest shopping mall, which was conveniently located close to her house.
Linda rode her bike to the nearest shopping mall, the wind blowing through her hair as she pedaled. When she arrived, she locked up her bike and headed inside, eager to find the perfect dress for the party.
As she browsed through the stores, Linda's eyes landed on a beautiful, expensive-looking dress in one of the shop windows. She couldn't resist going inside to try it on. In her excitement, she accidentally bumped into someone while reaching for the dress, and in the chaos, her money disappeared from her pocket.
Linda felt a surge of panic as she realized her money was gone. She searched her pockets frantically, but it was too late. The thief had already made off with her cash. She stood there, feeling lost and frustrated, when a friendly-looking boy approached her.
"Hey, are you okay? You look a bit lost," he said with a concerned expression. Linda explained her situation, and the boy's face lit up with a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry, I'd be happy to help you out. I'm Julian, by the way," he said, holding out his hand. "I was here with my sister, looking for a birthday gift for her."
Linda took his hand, feeling a sense of gratitude. "Thanks, Julian. I'm Linda. I really appreciate your help." Julian nodded towards the dress she had been admiring. "You really like that dress, don't you? Why don't I get it for you?" Linda hesitated, but Julian insisted, paying for the dress at the checkout counter.
As they walked out of the store together, Linda thanked Julian again. "You didn't have to do that, but thank you so much." Julian smiled and said, "No problem, I'm just glad I could help. My sister Ava would've loved this dress, actually." He glanced over at Ava, who was waiting nearby. "Hey, Ava, come check this out!"
Ava walked over, and Linda saw that she was a sweet-looking girl with a big smile. "Hi, I'm Ava," she said, waving at Linda. Julian explained the situation, and Ava's eyes lit up with excitement. "You're going to wear the dress to the party tomorrow, right? I think you'll look amazing in it!"
Linda's eyes widened in surprise when Julian mentioned a party. "Actually, I have a party to attend tomorrow too," she said, and Julian's face lit up with interest. "I wish I could've invited you to mine," he said with a smile. Linda smiled back, feeling a connection with Julian. After their conversation, Julian paid for the dress, and they exchanged numbers before parting ways.
As Linda rode home, she felt grateful for Julian's kindness. When she arrived, she was already tired, and it was late evening. She kept the dress in her wardrobe and prepared the shoes Mrs. Lee had bought for her birthday – beautiful heels she hadn't worn before. She also prepared the matching handbag and laid out her outfit for the party.
After a relaxing evening routine – face mask, yoga, bath, and skincare – Linda wore her pyjamas and got ready for bed. As she stepped out of her room to grab a snack from the kitchen, she thought about the party the next day and how she couldn't wait to wear her new dress.
As she entered the kitchen, Linda's eyes scanned the shelves for something to munch on. She settled on a bag of chips and grabbed it, heading back to the living room to watch a TV show. As she sat down, her phone caught her attention. She picked it up, and a message notification popped up.
The message was from an unfamiliar number, but the name and words sparked a memory. "Hi, I'm Sophia, the woman you met in the airport. Do you remember?" Linda's eyes lit up as she recalled their brief encounter and Sophia's adorable baby, Jack. She smiled, feeling a sense of nostalgia.
Linda quickly replied: "Hey, I remember! I'm sorry I couldn't get to you – I've been busy all day. How's baby Jack?" She sent the message and dropped her phone, settling in to enjoy her snack and TV show. As she munched on the chips, she wondered when Sophia would respond and what she'd say about baby Jack.
Just as Linda settled in to enjoy her snack and TV show, her phone buzzed with another incoming message. She picked it up, and Sophia's response was waiting for her. "Baby Jack is fine. How have you been all this while? How's your high school? How are your studies? I hope we'll be able to meet one day."
Linda's eyes scanned the message, and she was about to respond when Sophia added another message. "Actually, baby Jack hasn't been feeling fine lately. He's been sick, and we've been at the hospital. As soon as he's discharged, I'll get back to you, and we can meet up."
Linda's expression softened, and she felt a pang of concern. "Oh no, I hope he gets better soon," she typed out, sending a message of support. Sophia responded almost immediately. "Thank you so much. Please, Extend my greetings to baby Jack," Linda typed, smiling at the thought of Sophia's adorable baby.
With that, Linda sent the message and put down her phone, returning her attention to the TV show. She continued watching, feeling sorry for Sophia and hoping that baby Jack would recover soon.
