Chapter 11 - Chapter eleven: Some "decent girl"

Mr. Adam sat behind his massive mahogany desk, his piercing gaze fixed on his son, William. His voice thundered through the opulent office, his anger and concern etched on his face. "You're being reckless, William! You're the heir to the Adams empire, and yet you insist on going out partying every night, despite the enemies we have. They've tried to harm you or kidnap you countless times and you've been lucky to escape. But luck won't last forever!"

William stood tall, his eyes flashing with defiance as he retaliated, "I'm not a kid, Father. I can take care of myself."

Mr. Adam's expression turned incredulous. "Take care of yourself? You're not even taking your safety seriously! And to make matters worse, you're parading around with young, beautiful girls. You're going to get yourself killed or worse."

William shrugged, his tone nonchalant. "I'm just having fun, Father. I don't see the harm in that."

The older man's face reddened. "Fun? You call that fun? You're going to get yourself into trouble, and then where will the Adams empire be? You need to settle down, get married, and have a wife to keep you in line."

William snorted. "Married? You want me to marry? How can I marry when I can have fun without the commitment? I don't need a wife to tell me what to do."

Mr. Adam's anger boiled over. "Listen to yourself, Will! You're talking like a fool. But since you're not going to take my advice, I'm going to take matters into my own hands. I know the perfect type of girl for you, and I'm going to find her for you. You'll marry her, and that will be the end of this nonsense."

William's eyes widened in confusion. "What do you mean, Father? What kind of girl are you talking about?"

Mr. Adam's smile was enigmatic. "Very soon, you'll know exactly what I mean. Let's just say that I've had enough of your antics, and it's time for you to take responsibility."

William's face darkened. "Father, you have to let me live the life I want. I don't want to live like you, stuck in this office, going to boring meetings, and pretending to be someone I'm not."

The older man's face turned cold. "Get out of my office. You're making me angrier by the minute."

William stood up, his movements stiff with anger, and walked out of the office, slamming the door behind him.

As William stormed out of his father's office, the sound of the slamming door still echoing in his ears, he felt a surge of anger and frustration coursing through his veins. He couldn't believe his father was still harping on about his lifestyle, constantly trying to dictate what he could and couldn't do. All he wanted was to have some fun, enjoy his life, and not be burdened with the weight of the Adams empire's expectations.

The familiar pattern of their conversations played out in his mind like a broken record. His father would introduce him to some "responsible" lady, and he'd show no interest. The conversation would escalate, with his father demanding to know who he was interested in, and he'd reply "no one," triggering his father's wrath.

William's thoughts swirled as he walked to the garage, the cool air a welcome respite from the tension. He spotted his new sleek, black Lamborghini Huracán parked in its designated spot and couldn't resist the urge to take it out for a spin. He jumped into the driver's seat, feeling the leather wrap around him, and started the engine. The V10 roared to life, and he put the car in gear, speeding out of the garage and onto the open road.

The rush of adrenaline as he accelerated helped calm his racing thoughts. For now, he just wanted to drive, feel the wind in his hair, and escape the suffocating expectations that came with being an Adams.

Williams pulled up to Min-Soo's house in his sleek Lamborghini Huracán, the engine purring softly. He stepped out of the car, the doors closing with a satisfying thud. Williams walked up to the door and rang the bell. The door swung open, revealing Min-Soo's casual expression.

Williams walked into the house, and his friend Min-Soo greeted him with a wide grin. "Hey, Will! What's up, bro?"

Williams shook his head, his expression serious. "I'm not in the mood for your crazy talks, Min-Soo."

Min-Soo chuckled. "Ah, come on! You're always so uptight. What's wrong, Williams?"

Williams sighed and dropped onto the couch. "It's just my father, man. He's driving me crazy. Always telling me what to do, reasons to marry... I just want to live my own life."

Min-Soo nodded sympathetically. "I feel you, bro. Family can be a real pain sometimes."

As they talked, Min-Soo poured Williams a glass of wine. A girl emerged from one of the rooms, greeted Williams, and quickly exited the house.

Min-Soo said, "Don't mind her, she's just a friend crashing at my place."

Williams raised an eyebrow but said nothing. As they drank and talked, William talked of how his father was becoming serious about getting a wife for him. "Honestly, it feels like he wants to marry me off to some "decent lady" rather than letting me choose my own path. I mean what do I need a decent girl with no moves for?."

Min-Soo laughed slightly. "Forget about your family drama, Will. Let's talk about something more interesting... like the party we're planning for next weekend at your club, Eclipse."

Williams' eyes lit up. "Ah, yeah! I've got some great ideas. We can invite all the hottest models in Seoul and make it a night to remember. My hotel, the Azure Lounge, can provide the after-party accommodations."

Min-Soo chuckled. "You're always thinking about the ladies, aren't you? And the VIP treatment, of course."

Williams shrugged. "Hey, life's too short not to enjoy the finer things. And with my family's empire, we can make this party legendary."

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, discussing everything from party planning to business ventures and their favorite nightlife spots. As the night wore on and the wine continued to flow, their laughter grew louder.

Eventually, Williams' eyelids began to droop, and he lay down on the couch, fast asleep. Min-Soo smiled, shaking his head. "Guess I'll clean up tomorrow." He headed to his room, leaving Williams to sleep it off.

The next morning, Williams woke up on the couch, feeling a bit groggy. He sat up, rubbed his eyes, and looked around. The empty wine bottles and glasses were a reminder of the previous night's festivities. He stood up, stretched, and yawned.

He walked to the kitchen to get a glass of water and saw Min-Soo cooking. Min-Soo noticed Williams and turned around, greeting him with a "Good morning!"

"Morning," Williams replied. "What's cooking?"

"Bibimbap," Min-Soo said. "Want some?"

Williams shook his head. "No thanks, I need to head home before my dad starts calling me nonstop."

Min-Soo nodded understandingly. "Your family drama, huh?"

Williams didn't elaborate, instead heading back to the living room to pick up his car keys. He walked out of the house, and sure enough, his Lamborghini was still parked where he had left it the night before. He unlocked the car, slid into the driver's seat, started the engine, and sped off into the morning traffic.
