Prologue
"You're quite something, aren't you?" his eyes rested on hers, seemingly peeling layers away from her with that one glance. She took one step back.
Her legs hurt. They were raw from running and she was exhausted from all the hide-and-seek.
"I never knew that you had this side. Had I known..." she started and he smirked. A dangerous smirk that barely met the owner's eyes. He toyed with the flame on his palm.
"It's not like you can escape, so why bother?" he uttered with a drawl. Her heart sped as the flames encircled her.
Was this the end now? Was he going to squish her like an ant? He jolly well had the capacity too. He always had that. He also had every right too. Considering what she had done...
Squeezing her eyes shut, her fists were clenched. Was it raining? She grabbed the hems of her dress tightly when she realised that it wasn't the rain.
He was hugging her in a vicelike grip and had planted several kisses on her cheeks. And they were trailing everywhere but up.
