"Are you going to… meet the Angels?" Irina suddenly asked, startling Xenovia and Asia.

"What about the Angels? We're fallen devils now; we're their enemies." Xenovia sighed.

"Lord… forgive my sins…" The three former Church members began to pray, as if telepathically connected, but were quickly interrupted by cries of pain.

It was natural; they'd fallen and were now devils. Praying would cause pain.

Xenovia and Irina becoming Rias's familiars should have been cause for celebration, but Arthas felt a headache coming on. His identity would be harder to conceal.

The good news was that their arrival meant Arthas was temporarily freed from distributing flyers.

The three-faction negotiations, while planned, wouldn't happen easily. There were many preparations to make.

The negotiations, which Arthas anticipated, were delayed until summer, almost forgotten.

Meanwhile, Souna seemed unconcerned by Genshirou's disappearance; she hadn't mentioned him in a long time.

Arthas was relieved; he didn't want Souna to be saddened. He suspected she knew something but pretended otherwise.

Carrying groceries at Souna's request, Arthas left the supermarket.

It was late, the streets deserted. Arthas stopped.

It was quiet, eerily so. He realized the lack of people wasn't just because of the hour.

"A barrier…"

A barrier had been erected around Arthas, so skillfully that he hadn't noticed.

"From the moment I left the supermarket? Fallen Angel energy… are they here to avenge Kokabiel?"

The only Fallen Angel he'd wronged was Kokabiel. He dismissed the two-winged Fallen Angels he'd killed long ago.

Those were insignificant underlings, common in any faction.

The three factions were depleted, but those without talent were worthless.

"Not exactly. Vali mentioned a young devil capable of killing Kokabiel. I was curious, so I came to see for myself."

A chuckle echoed, and a man materialized from the darkness.

"It seems the rumors are true. Perhaps you'll surpass Azazel."

An unusual pressure washed over Arthas as the man appeared, causing him to frown.

Before him stood a roguish-looking man, in his late twenties.

"Azazel?" The tone and appearance suggested it could only be the Fallen Angel Governor, known for his audacity.

"Oh, you guessed it? Impressive. Greetings, Gremory soldier. I'm Azazel, the Fallen Angel Governor." The man in the suit introduced himself.

"The three-faction negotiations haven't started yet. While the location is this city, why would the Fallen Angel Governor abandon his people and arrive so early?"

Arthas asked, unfazed by the man.

"Ah, this isn't the place to talk."

Azazel snapped his fingers. Arthas found himself in an ornate room.

It was a spacious room, lavishly decorated, suggesting a wealthy owner.

The owner seemed to be away. Azazel and Arthas stood in the living room.

"Make yourself comfortable."

Azazel sat down, opening a bottle of wine on the coffee table and pouring a glass.

"Must I have a reason for being here? Being the Fallen Angel Governor isn't easy. I'm always busy, dealing with my subordinates' messes."

Azazel sighed, looking weary.

"You know the three-faction negotiations are starting soon. It's natural for me to be here. I wanted to see the young man who Vali said could kill Kokabiel."

Azazel poured two glasses of wine, pushing one towards Arthas.

"You've seen me. What do you think?" Arthas took a sip, his expression appreciative.

"Excellent wine."

"Of course. It's one of my prized possessions; most people can't get their hands on it."

Azazel said, sounding like a child showing off a toy, causing Arthas to smile.

"You came all this way just to chat and drink?"

"What do you think? Did you expect me to reprimand a junior?"

Azazel chuckled, looking relaxed.

"Knowing me, you should know I'm capricious."

"True. Azazel, who fell for the sake of sexual relations with individual women, is the epitome of capriciousness."

"Hahaha, you're right. No one is more capricious than me." Azazel laughed, unoffended by Arthas's blunt reminder of his fall.

"Well, that's all for today. We'll meet again at the negotiations." Azazel finished his wine, placed the glass on the table, and spread his twelve black wings.

"An extra pair of wings isn't going to scare me." Arthas narrowed his eyes.

"Hahaha… you're interesting, young soldier. I look forward to our next meeting." Azazel tore through space and vanished.
