"Why are you wearing Kuoh Academy uniforms?"

As Arthas voiced his confusion, the two girls exchanged glances, then black, bat-like wings unfurled behind them.

Arthas froze. This was undeniably a characteristic of devils, yet it appeared on two Church Sword Empresses.

"You…" Arthas pointed, about to speak, but Xenovia cut him off.

"That's right. Irina and I have fallen." Xenovia said with a resigned tone, readily admitting their fall.

"Knowing God was gone, I gave up and reincarnated as a devil. We received 'Knight' and 'Pawn' pieces from Rias Gremory. We're enrolled in this academy. Starting today, we're second-year high school students and members of the Occult Research Club. Nice to meet you again, Ice User."

So… the Ice User thing was from the start?

Arthas suppressed the urge to facepalm, staring at Xenovia helplessly.

"And what's with your speech? Why that serious expression with that attempt at a cute voice? It's terrible."

"I was trying to imitate Irina, but I couldn't do it well."

"Why imitate me…?" Irina blushed slightly.

"Irina didn't want to fall; her faith was much stronger than mine." Xenovia said apologetically, glancing at Irina.

"But we had no choice. Knowing God is gone made us the Church's biggest heretics. Not only did we fail our mission, but we became heretics. Given the Church's treatment of heretics, our fate would have been terrible."

Xenovia chuckled bitterly. The once-holy Sword Empresses now relied on devils for survival—a cruel irony.

The more devout the Christian, the more painful the truth. Take Asia, the ditzy nun. Though ditzy, her faith was unwavering. Thankfully, Arthas snapped her out of it, preventing her from losing her entire way of life. You never know what people will do when their entire existence is negated.

Thinking this, Arthas sighed.

"Regardless… welcome to Kuoh Academy and the Occult Research Club. We're companions now." Arthas smiled, extending a hand.

"Thank you, Arthas-kun." Irina, her smile more natural, shook his hand.

"But becoming devils, I realize this academy is terrifying. Another Devil King's sister is here." Xenovia sighed, arms crossed.

Thinking of her past arrogance, Xenovia blushed. The shattered sword and recent battle had completely stripped away her sharpness.

The courtyard and gymnasium, destroyed by Kokabiel, were repaired by the Devil King's forces.

Complete restoration overnight—devilish power was truly impressive.

They could create replicas of the academy in other dimensions; this was nothing.

"Regarding this incident, Azazel, the Fallen Angel Governor, revealed the truth to both God and Devil factions. Kokabiel's actions were unauthorized; other executives were unaware. He plotted to disrupt the three-way balance and restart the war. For this crime, he's been sentenced to permanent cryogenic imprisonment in the lowest level of Hell (Cocytus)."

Rias explained. It seemed Kokabiel was permanently imprisoned.

Of course, the "permanent cryogenic imprisonment" was a cover story. Kokabiel, despite his unpleasant personality, was a powerful executive, a valuable asset in the depleted Fallen Angel ranks.

"Regarding Xenovia and Irina, the Church made no mention of you during the negotiations. Even Barupa wasn't mentioned; they acted as if it were none of their concern." Rias said dismissively.

"Figures… how disgusting." Xenovia sneered. Irina sighed, bowing her head. Her faith remained, and she couldn't believe she and Xenovia were discarded like used pawns.

The Church, having lost God's love and blessings… was truly vile.

"Finally, representatives from the Angel and Devil factions, and Azazel, will be holding negotiations soon. Apparently, Azazel has something to say. Some say he might apologize for Kokabiel, but I doubt it."

Rias shrugged, unconvinced.

Azazel, known for his boldness and self-centeredness, apologizing? No one would believe it. His reason for falling was shameful—a ridiculous desire for sexual relations with individual women.

The three-faction negotiations? Arthas was interested. His strength was exposed; his plan could begin.

"We're also invited. As key players, we must report at the meeting."

"Really?!"

Before Arthas could respond, everyone else was shocked. A meeting of the three factions' leaders was naturally frightening.

"By the way, was that White Dragon a Fallen Angel?"

"Yes. Azazel is gathering Divine Dividing Class wielders. I don't know what he's planning, but it's nothing good. The White Dragon is among the top wielders. Among the 'God Child Overseers' and other strong executives, he's ranked fourth or fifth. He was in his Forbidden Art state. You saw last night; he easily defeated Kokabiel."

Rias said. Arthas nodded. He didn't care about Kokabiel; he was no longer a relevant benchmark for strength.
