Albion smiled, hoisting the unconscious Kokabiel onto his shoulder and flying into the sky.
"Strange, the Red one hasn't awakened, but why do I sense his presence from you?" Albion's armor suddenly flashed white, and a puzzled voice echoed.
"Oh… the Red one is here too?" Albion scanned the area, searching for his destined rival.
"No, I don't sense him at all. He shouldn't be awake yet, but it's a strange feeling. I can still feel his presence here."
The soul of the White Dragon Emperor, residing within the Divine Dividing Class weapon, spoke uncertainly. The "Red one" he mentioned was his nemesis, the Red Dragon Emperor, Ddraig.
But as he said, Ddraig hadn't awakened, yet he sensed him.
"The Red Dragon Emperor… if you've awakened, he should have too. The fact that there's no news is strange."
Albion muttered, his gaze falling on Arthas.
"Regardless, even if my destined rival isn't here, I've still found something interesting."
"Indeed. A young man who can fight Kokabiel head-on, even overwhelm him."
As the White Dragon Emperor's soul finished speaking, an ice shard grazed his master's face.
"You took my prey. That's troublesome."
Arthas said from below, annoyed at being interrupted mid-battle.
"Sorry, but Kokabiel can't die yet. Killing a high-ranking Fallen Angel without permission might start a war."
The owner of the White Dragon Emperor said with a smile, addressing Arthas as an equal. Everyone realized "Albion" wasn't the young man's name, but the White Dragon Emperor's.
And from what he said… Arthas had the power to kill Kokabiel?!
Everyone was speechless. They were already amazed that Arthas could fight Kokabiel evenly, but now someone who could easily defeat Kokabiel was telling them that Arthas would have ultimately won!
"My name is Vali. In this boring world where the Red Dragon Emperor hasn't awakened, I hope you can bring me some fun. You're not strong enough yet. Your power isn't sufficient. Become stronger, strong enough to face anything."
The man named Vali said passionately, seeming to have high expectations for Arthas. Then, he vanished in a flash of white light.
Everyone was stunned by the unexpected end to the battle.
The magic circle Kokabiel had drawn disappeared.
It was over.
Despite the interruption, the town was saved.
Yuuto glanced at Valper's body. Perhaps… things weren't truly over. There were those at the Vatican who continued his research.
As he said, while the research no longer took innocent lives, the act of stealing another's aptitude was unforgivable.
"Arthas, you were amazing! I didn't know you were so strong!"
Rias hugged Arthas, her eyes shining.
"No, I'm not strong enough. I don't have the confidence to defeat that White Dragon Emperor."
Arthas rubbed his nose, smiling wryly. The encounter with the White Dragon Emperor had exerted immense pressure on him.
It was a difficult feeling to describe, different from the Fallen Angels who used similar powers. Arthas felt something he'd never experienced before.
Arthas recalled Nasa Nasa's words, about gaining the power of the world's origin… This power seemed to be it. The Divine Dividing Class… seemed to be the power of rules born from the world's acknowledgement.
Unconditionally halving an opponent's power and claiming it as one's own… such an unbelievable ability was displayed before Arthas.
Power had limits and boundaries, following a set of rules. But the White Dragon Emperor's ability transcended those rules, a power beyond the established order.
The Underworld's reinforcements, led by Sirzechs, arrived half an hour later. By then, Arthas, still energized from the battle, was already in bed with Souna, releasing his pent-up energy.
Rias proudly reported the situation to Grayfia. While worried about her sister, the Devil King traversing dimensions would have too great an impact. So Sirzechs sent Grayfia and her powerful subordinates as reinforcements.
Grayfia was speechless upon learning that Arthas possessed the power to kill the ten-winged Fallen Angel Kokabiel, her expression strange. Rias, caught up in the excitement, didn't notice.
Time passed quickly. Three days had passed since the Kokabiel incident. As agreed, Arthas's time with Souna had ended. He returned to his routine of spending one day as Souna's familiar and one day as Rias's.
The incident had serious consequences. The attack on the Devil King's sisters, as Kokabiel had hoped, could have sparked a war. Souna said her sister, Serafall, had nearly stormed over.
Arthas could only smile wryly at Souna's sister, the Devil King with a severe sister complex.
Besides news about the Kokabiel incident, Arthas saw two unexpected figures at the Occult Research Club.
"Yo, Ice User, long time no see." The first to speak was Xenovia, with her green-streaked hair.
"Why… are you here? And those clothes…"
Arthas asked, puzzled. Shouldn't they have returned to the Vatican? And the uniforms they wore… they were Kuoh Academy student uniforms.
