Gwen's brows lifted when Nina stepped forward, the glowing necklace still in her hand.
"You? You're the one with the dungeon key?"
Gwen asked, blinking.
Nina gave a short nod.
She braced herself for the questions, the suspicions—anything that would let her slink away after handing the key over. Instead, Gwen tilted her head slightly, studying her with interest.
"How'd a kid like you get a hold of that?"
Before Nina could answer, Hwan stepped in.
"You don't need to put yourself in danger just to see me, you know. If you wanted to watch me work, you could've waited on the sidelines.
he said smoothly, that same confident smile curling on his lips.
Nina blinked.
"What?"
He took a step closer, nodding toward the necklace.
"It's fine. Just hand it over. I'll take care of the dungeon. You don't need to worry about anything."
Nina opened her mouth to speak, but Gwen cut in, looking between the two of them with clear skepticism.
"Hold on. You two know each other?"
