Nina's boots hit the stone floor of the dungeon in rhythm with Hwan's.
The dim lighting flickered above them as they sprinted down the long corridor, the timer in the corner of her vision ticking down with each passing second.
"Tell me if you get tired. This pace is hard for civilians."
Hwan said without looking at her.
Nina didn't reply. She wasn't panting, and her stride didn't falter. In fact, she was matching him step for step.
Hwan frowned and risked a glance behind him. She wasn't even breaking a sweat. No fear in her eyes either—just focus.
He narrowed his eyes.
'How the hell is she keeping up with me?'
For someone who was supposed to be a normal civilian dragged into a dungeon by accident, she was far too calm.
Her breathing was even. Her form didn't falter. Her balance was precise. Hwan's suspicion flared.
'No normal person moves like this. Is she hiding her rank?'
