Nina didn't stop moving until the bright neon glow of the gaming café had long disappeared behind her.
She ducked into an alley, pulling off her mask and cap to breathe properly.
"Finally. I thought I was going to choke in there."
She muttered.
[It's not the café's fault you decided to stir drama. Though I agree—it was getting suffocating.]
Her Patron said dryly.
Nina ignored him and trudged toward the city's center.
Her boots clacked against the pavement, and she kept glancing behind her just in case Kevin had somehow escaped his public shaming and decided to follow her again.
Fortunately, there was no sign of him. The nerve of that guy.
"I swear. Next time I see his face, I'm not holding back."
She muttered,
[You say that, but you never do.]
"I held back for his sake! If I had smacked him across the head, I'd have been the one in trouble!"
