The moment that this red light appeared, all of the expressions on the faces of the demon tribe leaders changed.
At the same time, almost all of them couldn't help jerking forward like Eru had done.
But there were only a few that were able to stop themselves like Eru did.
The rest of them actually bent a knee before some were able to stop themselves. The rest all fell on that knee and actually bowed their heads to me.
While they were doing this, I was paying close attention to the ones that had stopped themselves.
From my knowledge from the game, I could tell that these were the demon tribes that were considered the most powerful out of the entire demon race. That was why it wasn't surprising that they were able to resist the pressure that I had.
Though a part of me also couldn't help wondering who Eru was, that he was able to do the same.
I also paid attention to the ones that managed to stop themselves from bending completely.
They had some power that they were able to resist.
After a long moment of silence, one of the demons with a lion head suddenly said, "It seems that you weren't joking about this, old man."
This was aimed at Eru.
Eru didn't seem to mind the way that the lion headed demon talked to him as he looked back at him with a smile on his face. Then he looked at the rest of the demons before saying, "At the very least, we should put him in front of the Demon God's Altar."
The demons all knitted their brows when they heard this, but they didn't deny what he was saying.
How could they when there was this red glow that was putting pressure on them like this?
There was only one thing that would have this kind of effect, so they had to at least test it.
So that was why in the end, I was brought to a special place.
It was a statue of a demon, but this was a demon unlike any demon tribe that was out there. This was a demon that seemed to have all the features of the various demon tribes that existed.
I knew from the game that this was the statue of the Demon God.
Once we were here, they took out a goat and sacrificed it in front of the statue of the Demon God before waiting to see what happened.
After a while, there was this red light that appeared around the statue of the Demon God.
The moment that this red light appeared, the same red light appeared around me. This was the same red light that had appeared around me when I had pressured the leaders of the demon tribes.
Once that happened, all of the leaders looked at me with different looks in their eyes.
"Well, is there anything else that you need?" I said in a cold voice.
The leaders of the demon tribes all had different reactions when they heard this, but at the very least…
"Demon king."
That was the one thing that they all said as they looked at me.
That was how I accepted the role and became the demon king.
This was also just like the demon king ceremony in the game.
The only difference was the timing.
In the game, the player would have time to gather their power before they were made to take the demon king ceremony. It wasn't the case with me since I met someone that brought me here right away.
That was why I was in this strange situation where the other demons all put me as the interim demon king and wanted to take me down.
The key thing was that there was something special about the title of demon king.
Even if one became the demon king, this title could be transferred because of the specialty of the demons. The demons were a race that depended on survival of the fittest, so even the powers of the demon king could be absorbed.
Still, at least I knew that I was a powerful demon king.
"It was the same as the hero ceremony, there was that trace of holy light that was in the red light coming from me."
That was the one thing that I noticed during the demon king ceremony.
Opening the door of the throne room, I saw that there were the leaders of the different demon tribes that were waiting there for me. But instead of sitting in their seats or kneeling like they should have been, they were all gathered around the demon king's throne.
They showed no restraint at all as they hung around there, making it very clear what they were thinking.
In a sense, they were even daring me to go against them which made me give a secret sigh.
"That fool of light is being taken to the king to become a hero and I'm here fighting for my life, it really isn't fair."
While I had the confidence to take care of any of the lower ranked or even mid ranked demon tribe leaders because of my increased stats from the Shared Stats skill, I wasn't confident in taking down the top demon tribe leaders.
There was a reason why the demons had been able to invade the humans for so long.
There was a reason why they were considered the leaders of the top demon tribes.
So I just ignored the fact that they gathered around the throne and walked up to it.
Only when I was in front of the throne did they finally back down and move to sit down in their seats. Instead of being wary of me, they looked at each other as if they were wary of each other.
They only took each other as a threat, they didn't take me as a threat at all.
"For this meeting, let's come to a decision on what we'll do about the farming lands."
