Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Tier 3 firepit lizards.

The next day Alan was taken to the guild hall for a briefing. The large scale open world dungeon he is going to will be jointly raided by Titans, Kunlun Divine, and the Evergreen guilds which are the top 3 guilds in Asia.

It was like the beginner dungeon Alan entered just after his awakening, but on a large scale with high tier monsters, various precious mineral mines and other resources. It is too big to be swallowed by a single guild.

Such were the large scale Dungeons. One such dungeon can provide resources that could push their guilds development by years.

So when such dungeons appear the guilds flock to get a piece.

Alan was assigned to group 3 which focussed on attacking tier 3 area of the dungeon. Alan's effective attributes were already greater than the normal tier 3 individuals who broke through without maxing out their attributes.

As for his combat prowess it should be equivalent to the peak rank 3. It might break into early tier 4 once he improves his elemental mastery.

The dungeon was named red martian kingdom. After the analysis from the guild, it was found that the dungeon is rich in metal resources. The monsters found inside are predominantly insect and reptile based.

After the briefing he entered the guild carriage towards the dungeon. With the help of high tiered monsters he may have a chance to level up very fast here.

Inside the dungeon…

Alan looked around taking in the scenery. Although the environment is almost barren, the scenery was quite good.

He travelled with his designated team. Soon they reached their post.

Then Peter their group leader called everyone "Alright everyone gather up. Our goal here is to conquer the elemental mine up ahead. So we will form 5 teams with 15 members each. 1 team will stay back and defend the outpost. Other 3 will attack from the three sides, while the last team will provide backup to any three teams according to the conditions that may arise."

As for Alan, he decided to go with the combat team.

The group leader did not object as he had received a strict order to take care of Alan and listen to his orders from the elders. It was clear that Alan's background were not simple.

He initially wanted Alan to stay back to defend the outpost but after Alan insisted to join the combat team he gave up. He didn't dare to question him any further. Others were confused as to why the group leader were acting like this.

The mine they were about to raid contained the fire element stones which were essential for those who wanted to increase their fire element mastery.

Alan was quite satisfied as he could increase his levels and mastery side to side with this mission.

Alan went forward with team 1 which planned to attack from the main entrance to the cave. The caves were built by the firepit lizards who initially started to dig for stones and eventually became a big tunnel. There were 3 main entrances to the tunnels which three teams took to raid through.

The levels of monsters inside started at tier 3 at level 45 and according to the sensors the final boss at the core will be at level 60 and is about to break through to tier 4.

Once the boss promotes to the tier 4 his minions will soon follow in his foot towards tier 4 making it a lot harder to conquer this dungeon.

At the entrance they were welcomed by 7 level 45 lizards. It had charcoal-black scales which armored its low-slung body, which cracked like a cooling slag, with crimson bleeding light between each plate. Each step left a scorching mark on the stones.

The damage dealers sprung into action and barraged them with attacks. What amazed them was that Alan took out three of them with arrows even before the main damage dealers did.

Alan didn't not try to steal other's kills and waited for others to finish. He knew off he took action others won't get a chance to get exp.

From the kills just now Alan got 64,800 exp and he levelled up to level 21. This was more fruitful than hunting same tier monsters. If not for the tier restrictions in the dungeons he could have rushed up his exp like he did just now.

Since he got a special opportunity to face high tier monsters, how could he let this opportunity go to waste.

After seeing Alan's kills just now those who had doubts about him joining the team before all shut up. They all acknowledged Alan's combat prowess. Also they were terrified deep inside. If he had this much combat power now what would happen when he steps into tier 3, tier 4? Some who had planned to make things difficult for Alan sighed in relief that they haven't made any move against him yet otherwise things could have gone out of hand.

Things went like this and they killed their way through the tunnel. They found remnants of fire element crystals on their way inside. It was clear that they were mined away by the lizards.

The group soon reached a chamber following the tunnel. It was very spacious inside and the walls and floor were inlaid with the elemental stones and there were around 30-40 lizards mining the crystals.

The group was discovered as soon as they stepped into the chamber. They heard the roar of two monsters. They were obviously leader level monsters and two at that.

The size difference between them and ordinary monsters were minimal but their features differed considerably.

Their scales were crimson red with blue light bleeding between the scales. They were at level 52 while the ones mining were around level 50–51.

The lizards mining abandoned their work and sprawled into action.

"Formation!" Roared Peter.

Everyone gathered together to form a battle formation ready foor a battle.
