Back at the dungeon. The destruction caused by the boss's elemental beam amazed Alan.
"It's good that I didn't take it head on." thought Alan. The metal element had an piercing attribute which although Alan could withstand with his shield, it would take a toll on his MP.
The boss seeing Alan standing somewhere else completely unharmed was taken aback. The was sure it had not missed the shot but somehow Alan came out unscathed.
This enraged it even more. It launched itself towards Alan with its claws wide to take him down.
Alan's agility was not bad thanks to his law fragment level speed force. It enhanced his speed by 1.5x which put him on par with the boss in terms of agility.
Still Alan used blink to lose the boss's attacks towards him.
He took out his bow and like always he decided to use his combat maneuvering technique to chip down the boss. The blink combined with his movement technique made him untouchable.
The defence was not a problem thanks to his space element which phased these arrows through the defence and damaged its internals. And within 15 minutes he took down the boss.
He could have taken down the boss sooner with his combat power but he dragged it down to practice his skills.

Alan was all smiles seeing this. It's only been two weeks but he had already finished the tier 2 transition mission. This breakthrough speed was among the best.
He might even set a new record for the fastest person to reach tier 2.
He got out of the dungeon and took off. The personnel at the dungeon entrance did not mind him thinking he failed as others. Little did they know not only did he pass his tier transition mission, he also set the second best time to finish the dungeon.
The leaderboard was refreshed after Alan left.
"Wait there is some change in the leaderboard…" said one of the workers near the dungeon.
Everyone looked over. At the second place they saw a new name.

Everyone gasped. The first best time belonged to a team. Which means Alan who just left set the best solo clear record.
"The kid who just left now. I remember him registering under the name Raven…."
"Wasn't he here for the 5 star tier mission?" Said another.
Everyone was surprised. Looks like the person they ignored as another ignorant fool really pulled it off. They were hit with instant regret for not treating him well and making a connection with him. Who could blame them? It was not common for anyone to pass a 4 star tier trial let alone a 5 star one.
Back at the monument Alan placed his hand on the monument to confirm his completion. A screen popped up.

Alan was suddenly hit with a mysterious energy. He felt a huge amount of energy transforming his body.
His apertures opened one by one until all his apertures were opened and full of energy. This is thanks to his SSS evaluation of the 5 star transition mission.
Usually one's apertures opened as they leveled up in tier 2 but even so not everyone could open all the apertures. Only those who passed the 5 star tier 2 transition mission achieved this.

As for the golden halo it was common for everyone who passed the 5 star trial.
For 4 stars it was purple, for 3 stars it was red, 2 stars it was orange and 1 star it was white. It served as a proof of passing a 5 star trial and can be retracted anytime.
Another huge change was in his class passives. His phantom steps now increased his agility by 20% instead of 10. And the mana regen had been increased from 1% every 5 seconds to 1% every 1 seconds. This was a huge increase.
And as for the VIP privileges he had to check that out in the shop for detailed information.
His tier transition had made a big commotion and had drawn everyone's attention over. Along with the appearance of the golden halo behind him it made the crowd boil over.
Alan, noticing this, used the spell blink to get out without giving any explanation. He did not linger as the crowd somewhat overwhelmed him.
This left everyone to guess out Alan's identity.
