[Kieran's POV]
"Let's go!" I ordered, riding ahead to the Eastern border. I could feel it; I was sure my soldiers also felt it—what awaited us after the fog that veiled each part of the forest.
"Lucian.." If he was the cause of the nightmares, that hunted Elara in her sleep, I would make him pay. He shall not enter the town; I won't allow him.
I had some of my men discreetly setting up blockades, but it was surely impossible to ignore. We weren't here to start a war, but we'd damn well be ready for one.
"Alpha, up ahead!" one of my soldiers called.
Even from the distance, I could also hear the sound of horses as the thumping sound got nearer.
I held up a hand as my soldiers also paused, standing right at the Eastern border edge, our eyes locked on the front.
I gazed back at my soldiers, who were ready and just waiting for my orders. They would do anything, as long as it came from me. After my win and becoming the Alpha, they acknowledged me as the true one.
