Darkness hovered in the air, the morning light was beginning to rise and show itself on the horizon, and bodies stirred on the bed, ready to awake to yet another day. Too much had been happening with the rogue land that even the people were skeptical about what was coming next.
On the balcony of his apartment, Damon watched the sun rise, in nothing but shorts and with a glass of water in hand. He barely got any sleep; his mind couldn't rest, and the presence of the other in the next room only helped make his heart race even faster. Gulping down the entire content of the glass, he sighed heavily, then dropped it on the table.
"Maybe time is against us," he whispered.
A knock echoed, and without ushering the intruder in, the door slowly creaked open, and soft footsteps echoed.
"Up early?" Sunny asked.
"Never slept," Damon replied, his eyes on the sun.
