Chapter 47 - Chapter 47

Noel watched her descend in a golden streak, it had only been about 4 seconds and the fight was over. It was Inconceivable to him.

He knew a single person could deal with armies in this world but he expected it would take a long time and they would have to be at a much higher rank than their opponents.

Yet she just killed thousands of creatures only a single rank below hers and 7 at the same rank as her in less than 4 seconds. He couldn't even follow their fight.

He just saw flashed of gold and red and bodies falling then it was over. Infact by the time she arrived next him most of the birds were still falling.

Only those she basically threw down with her sword swings had hit the ground. Let go, she picked him up and flew into the air again. They were moving at a much higher speed now but he was protected from the air resistance or he might've died.

Within a minute they descended to the ground. He looked around and they were in a forest of crystals, literally, tall trees made of crystals with different colours were everywhere.

He watched her as she put her hands in a tiny crevice in space and pulled them apart. Like a curtain the space opened up. Come, she said with gritted teeth.

He could see she was straining to keep it opened, he drew close and felt his body grow heavier as if the gravity had increased. Jump through, she said and he did.

Darkness enveloped him for a second and then his body was pressed to the ground. He looked down at the floor he was lying on, it was made of a shiny obsidian stone like material.

Whe..re am..I, he found it even hard to talk let alone breath? Hanuman dimension, she said. He tried to raise his head to look at her but he could not, all he could see was her feet.

Ta..ke, me out of..here. No can do, you will live here for the next five years. What! Don't worry, the time flows differently here then outside.

A year here is a month outside. Okay then, good luck brat and oh, I brought you a friend, you might meet him if you don't die too early. Wai..t you're lea..ving?

Well ofcourse, I have things to take care of, I can't spend five months looking after you. She turned to leave. Wait, stop, what..am..I suppose to eat?

Ohhh right, take this, she retrieved a huge beast leg from her storage ring and dropped it to the floor with a bang. Well, see ya bra. This won't last me, he said, strangely able to make a full a sentence there. Then figure it out yourself, he tried to stop her again but she ignored him.

Left alone without even the ability to move, he had to find a way to adapt to this dimension but first, he needs to learn how to breath.

Unlike in the training room where the oxygen sank to the ground, the oxygen floated in the air normally here he could feel it, the issue was, it was just incredibly heavy.

With every breath he felt like his lungs were filled with rocks, even drawing the damn thing in was hard. Damn, Cathra had influenced me, he thought, realising how many damns he was spouting.

For hours he lay there not knowing what to do, he had tried to stand up multiple time to no avail. His bones groaned with strain, just being here was draining his stamina.

He tried to empower his body with mana but it also felt sluggish. He even tried casting healing magic and a soft tiny light appeared and disappeared, his mana refused to obey him, it felt heavy like trying to move a ton of tar with a spoon.

He eventually gave up trying to use mana. He tried to push himself up for two days straight, by the second day he had actually moved his arms up by 4 cm.

They were shaking intently and keeping them up felt like trying to stop a moving truck mind you, with his strength he probably might be able to do that, he eventually gave in and his body was pressed to the ground again.

He was breathing heavily, not only because he was out of stamina with no visible way to regenerate it but because breathing had become a chore.

With his stamina drained he was getting hungry and thirsty. He eyes the juicy leg lying on the floor, even after two days it was still steaming hot and looked fresh.

It was barely two metres away but that distance appeared so vast to him now but he had to cross it. With a sigh he started dragging his body forward.

It took him close to an hour to cover a distance of two metres, it was truly pathetic. He bit on the leg and the juices flowed into his mouth.

He felt a bit of his stamina return but was being drained quickly. Being here felt like a constant workout. He knew he had to eat fast or his stamina will be drained the second he recovers it.

So he did, he dived into the 5 metres long leg like a savage beast. Within 20 minutes the leg was long gone, he had recovered most of his stamina but unless he learns to adapt here it will be useless.

He contemplated training but that will just drain his stamina even faster but staying like this will not help at all. So his training began. It was simple training, just pushups but they took a lot of effort.

It took his hours to rise only a few centimetres but everytime he did he could feel his bones strengthen, they nolonger felt like they will break at any moment.

They still groaned but a bit softer. It been three days since he started his training routine which is just pushups, his muscles felt like they were on fire so was his lungs and heart but he knew he was improving.

NO PAI.N NO GAIN, AHHHHHH, he shouted loudly as he pushed himself up, his bones groaning, pain flooding every receptor in his body.

Finally, after three days he had done a full push-up In a single go. Haha hahaha, he laughed, a genuine laugh, it surprised even himself as he rarely felt satisfaction and not one of this level, the joy of accomplishing something incredibly hard was exhilarating.

He realised that other than social interaction nothing had ever truly been hard for him in his past life, atleast nothing he was interested in which made his life a bit dull, his only joy was was his family. I wonder how you doing, he whispered with a longing look.
