After Lin Hao left the Tiansheng Group building, he drove toward his penthouse.
Though there were plenty of Big-Gs roaming the streets of Shanghai, his still managed to draw attention. The sleek black paint, the customized rims, and the quiet power of its engine turned heads wherever it went.
Many pedestrians paused to admire the vehicle; a few even gave him a thumbs-up as he passed.
"It really feels good to drive an expensive car," Lin Hao thought with a grin.
Of course, he still had an even more expensive car — the Lamborghini Fenice — parked in his garage. But driving that car casually would cause a commotion every time he hit the streets.
Besides, he didn't want to become a trending topic on social media just yet. It was still too early for that. He needed to grow stronger first — both financially and strategically — before attracting attention.
"Yeah," he muttered to himself with a smirk, "I'll show off later… I mean, live a good life later."
Thinking of that, Lin Hao decided he should probably buy this Big G as his regular car. It was still luxurious enough to turn heads but low-profile enough to keep him out of the spotlight.
Just as he was enjoying the calm drive, his phone began to ring.
Beep, beep, beep.
He glanced at the screen — unknown number.
"I've been getting a lot of calls from unknown numbers ever since the system activated," he thought suspiciously.
Still, he picked up.
"Hello?"
A beautiful, pleasant female voice came through the line.
"Hello, is this Mr. Lin?"
Her tone was professional yet warm, the kind of voice that could make even business sound elegant.
Though slightly surprised, Lin Hao replied, "Yeah, this is him. Who's calling?"
"It's a pleasure to speak with you, Mr. Lin. Good afternoon," the woman said politely. "I'm Li Hua, secretary to the President of Lamborghini China."
Lin Hao raised an eyebrow. "Oh? So it's a call from Lamborghini," he thought.
He spoke calmly into the receiver. "Alright, Miss Li Hua. What's the matter?"
Li Hua's voice remained steady. "Sir, I just wanted to confirm whether you received a call from President Lorenzo earlier?"
"Yeah, I did," Lin Hao replied. Then, after remembering the matter, he added casually, "By the way, could you come to my penthouse with the contract? I'll sign it here."
He had nearly forgotten about the Lamborghini branch president contract after his visit to the Tiansheng Group. And now that he was already close to home — and feeling a bit hungry — he thought it would be more convenient to have the documents brought to him instead.
There was a brief pause on the other end before Li Hua answered, her voice soft but clear.
"Understood, Mr. Lin. I'll make the arrangements right away."
"Good," Lin Hao said simply, then ended the call.
He parked the car in his private garage and took the elevator straight up to his penthouse. The moment he stepped inside, the cool air and quiet luxury washed over him like a calm wave.
"Home sweet home," he murmured, tossing his keys onto the marble counter.
After taking a long shower and changing into comfortable clothes, he ordered lunch from the penthouse service.
---
By 5 o'clock, Lin Hao had finished both his meal and a refreshing afternoon bath.
Just as he sat down on the sofa, the doorbell rang.
The clear ding-dong echoed softly through the spacious penthouse.
Lin Hao straightened his shirt, brushed a few invisible wrinkles from his sleeve, and walked toward the door.
When he opened it, a faint floral fragrance drifted in — light, refreshing, and pleasant.
Standing there was a young woman in a fitted navy business suit, her posture straight and her expression calm. She wore minimal makeup, but her features were naturally refined — almond-shaped eyes, smooth pale skin, and lips with just a hint of gloss. Her black hair was neatly tied in a low ponytail that brushed against her shoulder as she bowed politely.
"Good evening, Mr. Lin," she said with a graceful smile. "I'm Li Hua, secretary to President Of Lamborghini in China, which now means you. I hope I'm not disturbing you."
Lin Hao smiled faintly. "Not at all. Please, come in."
She entered quietly, her heels clicking lightly against the polished marble floor. Her eyes darted around the luxurious penthouse — the floor-to-ceiling windows, the minimalist décor, the breathtaking skyline view of Shanghai.
For a moment, her professional mask nearly slipped. This place is on another level, she thought. Even the company's top executives don't live this well.
Lin Hao gestured toward the sofa. "Please, have a seat."
"Thank you." She placed a slim leather document case on the glass table before sitting down gracefully.
He sat opposite her, his posture relaxed but confident. "So, this should be the contract Lorenzo mentioned?"
Li Hua nodded. "Yes, sir. This is your appointment letter and the formal contract confirming your role as the President of Lamborghini China. Once you sign these documents, we'll file them with headquarters and announce your position officially."
Lin Hao leaned forward, scanning the first few pages. The gold-embossed Lamborghini crest gleamed on every sheet — a subtle reminder of power and prestige.
He looked up with a small smile. "You've done this before, haven't you?"
Li Hua blinked, slightly caught off guard by the casual question. "Yes, sir. I've been in the company for four years now. I usually assist with executive correspondence and contract processing."
"I see," Lin Hao said, signing the papers with smooth strokes of his pen. "You're good at your job. Professional, punctual, and calm."
Her eyes flickered with slight amusement. "Thank you, Mr. Lin. Coming from you, that means a lot."
After a few minutes, the signing was complete. Li Hua carefully checked the documents, then closed the folder with practiced precision.
"Everything's in order," she said softly. "Congratulations, Mr. Lin. As of today, you are officially the Branch President of Lamborghini China."
Lin Hao leaned back, a subtle satisfaction glinting in his eyes. "And now you are a real secretory unlike before," he said, chuckling lightly.
As the position of President of Lamborghini China was vacant for a while now she had no one to follow and was handling the affairs of Lamborghini in China.
And as he would probably be busy with his own business affairs,he has the thought of letting her handle everything and if she performs well.Even may even think of giving her the position of vice-president of Lamborghini China.
That would depend on her performance.
Li Hua smiled politely, then added, "Also, President Lorenzo instructed me to inform you that the media announcement will be delayed for now, per your earlier request for privacy."
" Lin Hao said. "Tell him I appreciate that."
"I will, sir."
Most executives she'd met were old, calculating, and full of pride. But Lin Hao — young, calm, and disarmingly composed — felt different. Too different.
For a moment, their eyes met — her professional poise and his quiet confidence creating an unspoken tension that neither commented on.
Li Hua stood up smoothly, breaking the moment. "I'll submit the signed documents to headquarters immediately. You'll receive your official identification and office access pass within two days."
"Thank you, Miss Li Hua," Lin Hao said, rising as well. "And next time, don't be so formal. Just call me Lin."
She hesitated slightly, then smiled. "Understood, Mr… Lin."
When the door closed behind her, Lin Hao leaned back against the sofa and exhaled.
"President of Lamborghini China, huh?" he muttered to himself with a small grin. "Not bad for a delivery boy."
He glanced at the skyline outside, lights twinkling across the river. "System," he whispered, "let's see how high we can go from here."
