Chapter 112 - Chapter 112:

Chapter 112

The battle between Godzilla and Gatron was like the clash of two Primarchs. If Godzilla was Guilliman, then Gatron was Rogal Dorn.

The fight began.

Gatron's freezing ray had little effect, which meant it was Godzilla's turn to strike.

'Appetizers are over. Now comes the main course. Try blocking this.'

Godzilla unleashed his signature attack—radiation rays.

Each time the blinding blue beam lit the battlefield, it awakened a primal fear in all who saw it.

"Again?!"

"Void shield up—run faster!"

"Damn it, can't he use anything else?!"

The truth was, Godzilla had many abilities. But most of them were variations of his atomic breath. He also possessed techniques like internal radiation, tail-fin slash, and asymmetric stance. Even alternate forms like Hell Godzilla and Singularity Godzilla still relied on their rays.

When the blue beam erupted from his jaws, the Cadians—who had seen it many times—were still struck speechless. Some even crossed their arms in salute. Godzilla was not their Emperor, but the respect he inspired was undeniable.

The beam slammed into Gatron. A void shield shimmered into being, holding back the energy.

In Warhammer 40K, anything larger than a Terminator usually carried shielding—it was just a matter of strength. Gatron was no exception.

The clash between ray and shield created a tremendous shockwave, forcing Gatron back step by step.

"Hold position!" The command rang in Gatron's mind.

Its massive legs dug in, but the force of the beam was too much. Friction wasn't enough, and despite its resistance, the daemon engine was pushed backward.

". . ."

Even Toshvar, one of the Chaos commanders, felt a chill.

"Can he really push through all that?"

By all logic, Godzilla should've been suffering equal force—but he stood firm, pouring even more power into the attack.

Gatron was shoved further and further back until it crashed into the hive city, leveling buildings in its path.

Thankfully, the hive was already a battlefield. Most civilians were dead or evacuated, and those who remained had already taken up arms. Casualties were minimal.

Toppled by the ruins, Gatron tumbled into the city, its shield flickering. Godzilla finally stopped the beam.

'So you've got a void shield. Think that'll save you?'

He knew his rays couldn't instantly destroy a shielded Titan-class enemy. If he could one-shot them, he'd be untouchable on the ground. But shields didn't protect against close combat.

'Now it's my turn.'

Godzilla glanced at the wreckage. Thanks to his Heisei form, he had access to more advanced abilities.

'System, exchange for the tail-fin slash skill.'

[Are you sure? Why not save points for a stronger form?]

'No point saving. As long as I fight well, I'll earn them back.'

[Understood.]

[Skill unlocked: Tail-Fin Slash. Cost: 500 points.]

Godzilla felt the change in his tail. New organs shifted inside, granting him a power only a handful of his kind possessed. This wasn't a simple tail swipe, but a technique that gathered energy into his tail, unleashing it as a cutting wave more than ten meters long.

A blade of energy no defense could block.

'All right. I don't care who built this daemon engine. You messed with the wrong monster.'

Godzilla charged forward, each step heavy with intent.

Gatron rose from the rubble, shook off debris, and roared.

Godzilla roared back.

"What a raw and primal way of fighting," Trazyn muttered, recalling the old Necrontyr arenas, where champions clashed with tooth and claw. Brutal, but stirring.

The two giants met head-on.

Gatron struck first, its claws glowing with warp energy as it slashed across Godzilla's chest. Sparks flew. Three deep scratches burned across his scales.

"The attack worked…" Vashtorr exhaled in relief. For a moment, he had feared his creation would fail completely.

Godzilla growled low. The blow had hurt—but not enough.

He retaliated, seizing Gatron's arm in his claws and sinking his teeth into the joint.

Vashtorr frowned. "What's he thinking? His teeth can't pierce that steel."

But the grinding screech of tortured metal rang out. Godzilla's bite crushed the joint, bending it under pressure. Steel held longer than flesh, but not forever.

Gatron struggled, shaking violently to break free. Godzilla clung on—and then his maw lit with light.

Vashtorr's eyes widened. "No—!"

At point-blank range, Godzilla fired. The atomic breath erupted inside the joint, bypassing the shield entirely. In seconds, Gatron's arm was sheared off, the stump molten and fused.

This trick had humbled even Ghidorah.

But just as Godzilla prepared to rip the limb away—

The severed arm twitched, lifted from the ground, and reattached itself to Gatron's stump in a surge of warp energy.

Godzilla froze, staring.

'Referee! Referee! That's match-fixing, number eight!'

Most daemon engines could regrow parts, but this? Instant regeneration, faster even than Ghidorah.

'You've got to be kidding me. It reattached faster than he ever could…'
