Chapter 113 - Chapter 113:

Chapter 113

Vashtorr's plan had always been simple: hold Godzilla back. To do that, Gatron had been forged with survival above all else.

And yet—even this Chaos Demigod was uneasy.

He had no sweat on his forehead. Not because he didn't want to sweat, but because his body was simply incapable of it.

"I almost didn't last three minutes… this Godzilla is far too strong."

It wasn't just brute force. Godzilla had intelligence as well. And Vashtorr knew he couldn't stall for long.

"Abaddon, hurry up with your part."

Only a few Blackstone arrays remained. Once dismantled, Abaddon's plan would be complete. Then the daemon legions could sweep the field.

Erebus was already defeated, the Titan battlegroup dared not approach the Blackstone battlefield, and Abaddon's troops were running thin. But still, the Warmaster pressed forward.

"Smash it!!!"

The Blackstone Fortress was gone, the Planet Killer was gone—Abaddon didn't care. He still had battleships.

To hurl an entire cruiser into the ground was an act of madness few could imagine. But Abaddon had no choice left.

Several cruisers and a dozen frigates broke from the fleet, beginning their suicidal dives. The more destruction they caused, the greater the sacrifice—but if Cadia fell, everything was worth it.

Godzilla looked up.

It was like a scene ripped straight from StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm, when the colossal Yamato vessel plummeted into a planet's crust.

'…And here I thought that was dramatic. Damn, these ships are huge.'

The bow of a cruiser split the atmosphere. Even from hundreds of kilometers away, its fall was visible.

"For the Warmaster! For the Four Gods! The False Emperor's lies will be broken!!!"

The crew's final roar shook the skies as the cruiser smashed into a Blackstone array, obliterating it.

For a moment, no one could say who suffered more—the Chaos forces, losing irreplaceable warships, or the Cadians, losing another of their precious arrays.

'Shit. I don't know how many times I've said it, but I'll say it again—shit. Warmaster's got guts!!!'

Godzilla almost wanted to give Abaddon a thumbs-up. Even backed against the wall, the man still landed blows that mattered. If nothing else, the Warmaster earned respect.

But there was no time for that. Gatron still stood before him.

'If chopping off your hands doesn't work, then I'll cut off your head!'

Godzilla clamped his claws around Gatron's skull. The daemon engine resisted, straining backward, but only stretched its neck further.

Forward was the only option. But as Gatron lunged, Godzilla heaved upward, wrenching his enemy clean off the ground.

'Newton—give me strength!!!'

With a roar, Godzilla swung Gatron like a massive flail, spinning his entire body in a brutal windmill. The centrifugal force was enormous—and Gatron's neck finally snapped with a sickening crack.

"Hhhsssss—"

Even Vashtorr hissed.

"Khorne will love this one."

Godzilla held the severed head aloft, unwilling to release it.

But just as expected, warp-light tugged at the skull. The headless body lurched upright, and with a grotesque pull, the head reattached itself.

'Great. Hands don't work. Heads don't work. What's next?'

The rejoined Gatron lashed out with its tail, striking Godzilla back several steps.

'Think… follow the routine. Monsters like this always have a core. Center of the body, best protected. That's where I'll hit.'

Godzilla's eyes burned with violent intent. He bellowed to the sky, shaking the battlefield.

Behind him, another cruiser ripped through the clouds, smashing down onto yet another array. The ground trembled violently. No matter how fierce Cadia's guns, no cruiser could be destroyed fast enough before impact.

Meanwhile, Gatron's body blazed with warp energy. Demonic patterns along its back lit in four colors—red, blue, green, and purple.

Godzilla's spines lit in reply, atomic fire gathering in his maw.

'Oh, so you wanna beam battle, huh? Idiot. You're on the left side. Everyone knows left side always loses—unless you're that pig, Dyna.'

It was common knowledge in tokusatsu. Facing Godzilla's ray head-on was courage—or stupidity.

Gatron's multicolored beam erupted. Godzilla's radiant blue ray surged to meet it.

Vashtorr did not flinch this time. "It's no use. Even if Godzilla is strong, he can't overcome Gatron in a short duel."

His confidence swelled. "By the time you defeat him, Cadia's arrays will all be destroyed. Warp power will flood the planet. Cadia will fall, twisted like the rest of the Eye's worlds—"

He stopped. His eyes widened.

Godzilla's beam pushed Gatron's back.

Vashtorr almost cried. He wanted Gatron to win once. Not strategically. Just a single, proper fight. But Godzilla didn't give him even that.

"Does this monster have no weaknesses?"

He did. Oxygen Destroyers. Extreme freezing. Maybe other unknowns. But against beams? Godzilla was king.

'Come on, Ghidorah. Even you couldn't out-beam me.'

The atomic ray tore into Gatron's chest. Flesh and daemon-forged steel melted away, revealing a glowing sphere deep inside—the core. Warp power pulsed from it, source of every impossible regeneration.

'Ah. There it is.'

But Gatron raised his arms, shielding the core. Its body regenerated around the damage, and Godzilla's breath alone couldn't burn deep enough. He cut off the beam.

Instead, the tip of his tail began to glow with ominous blue light.
