Chapter 221 - The powerful Doctor Strange plays Thor in his hands

With the appearance of the first question, the atmosphere suddenly became tense.

No one had expected this first question to be so shocking.

Odin, Lord of the Nine Realms, was dead!

  "What?"

Thor, in particular, was stunned, completely caught off guard and completely bewildered.

In previous rounds, questions about the death of a mother and a brother had already appeared. A family of four had already lost two of their members, and now they were faced with the death of a father.

The entire household register had been wiped out,

  leaving only Thor himself!

  How tragic!

Of course, the Dark Elf Malekith had been defeated, and the Aether had been taken by Asgard. Thor's mother's death had already changed.

And with knowledge of the future, the death of his brother would surely change as well.

But wouldn't the Thor in that alternate universe be far too tragic?

What had Thor done to deserve such a tragedy?

  "No wonder,"

Tony Stark spoke up after a brief silence. "We remember when Thanos killed Loki and stole the Tesseract, he only had one stone. Yet, under those circumstances, he dared to attack Asgard."

"Does this mean that Odin was no longer around at that time?"

Tony Stark's words made Thor and everyone else's expressions shift slightly.

Tony Stark's suspicions were undoubtedly sound.

Loki had previously assured everyone that with Odin around, Thanos wouldn't dare attack Earth or order Ultron to exterminate humanity.

That judgment, made after Loki and Thanos had collaborated and fully understood him, was still quite relevant. Even after

Thanos's increased power from collecting the Infinity Stones allowed him to challenge Odin, no one believed that a Thanos with only one stone would dare to do such a thing.

  "That glove!"

  Even Thor remembered something.

"What glove, Thor?" Star-Lord was a little confused by Thor's random word "glove", so he couldn't help but ask.

"It's the glove that Thanos wears on his hand to hold the Infinity Stones!" Thor explained it to everyone in detail.

Originally, when Thor didn't mention it, no one paid much attention to the glove. Everyone's attention was focused on Thanos and the Infinity Stones, and they automatically ignored the glove.

But now that Thor reminded them, everyone realized it.

That glove was definitely not an ordinary thing. How could an ordinary thing possibly hold the power of the Infinity Stones, and a full six of them.

"That's a gauntlet capable of holding six Infinity Stones. There's only one place in the entire universe capable of forging such a divine artifact," Thor assured everyone. "Nidvial."

"Nidvial?" Dr. Banner pondered the word carefully, looking at Thor speculatively. "Is it a planet?"

"Yes, it's a satellite of Asgard, inhabited by a race of dwarves who can create the most powerful and wondrous weapons in the universe."

"Thanos' gauntlet—only they could have created it! It wouldn't be a problem for them."

  "The real question is..."

"Why would they create that gauntlet for Thanos?" Strange took over Thor's question.

"Well," Tony Stark shrugged. "If Odin were still alive, this wouldn't have happened, right? This further supports my hypothesis."

  "Makes sense,"

Captain America nodded in agreement. "And haven't we always wondered why Loki ascended the throne of Asgard? I think Odin might have been gone by then."

  This, too, was compelling evidence.

Everyone had previously been baffled by how, given Odin's power, Loki's scheme could succeed.

Now, perhaps, this question had been answered.

After much discussion, the precise date of Odin's death might finally have been determined.

While there had been no direct evidence to date, three consecutive events pointed so clearly to the possibility that no one could ignore Tony Stark's theory.

Regardless, the possibility existed, and it was quite plausible.

"So, my father will soon pass away?" Thor's voice grew anxious, a sense of urgency

rising. "I must prevent this from happening!" The others present also froze, their faces tense as they focused on the four options, carefully considering and analyzing them.

"The answer to this question can be summarized into two scenarios: one is that Odin was killed, and the other is that he died of old age,"

Tony Stark spoke first. "First, we need to make a basic judgment: which of these circumstances led to Odin's death, Thor?"

At this point, Tony Stark looked at Thor and asked seriously, "Thor, what is the average lifespan for you Asgardians? I remember you said you were 1,500 years old."

"1,500 years?" Star-Lord couldn't help but gasp in amazement, almost incredulous. "Man, you look the same age as me! Do gods live that long?"

Star-Lord was a little excited at this. Although he hadn't seen any signs so far, didn't the answer system say he was also a god?

Just a mortal god, but still a god after all.

So, could he easily live for thousands of years?

  Star-Lord couldn't help but fantasize.

"No, Star-Lord," Strange corrected him solemnly. "I don't know if it's his size, but he looks younger than you."

  Star-Lord: "..."

What should he do if he feels the urge to hit someone?

"We Asgardians generally have a lifespan of over 5,000 years. My father..."

Thor was originally answering Tony Stark, but he suddenly froze in the middle of his reply.

For so long, he hadn't realized this, but now that Tony Stark had specifically mentioned it, details he'd previously overlooked flashed through Thor's mind. "

  Father, he's truly grown old!"

His health was failing, and his Odinsleep was growing longer.

There were countless other subtle details that had previously slipped through Thor's mind, details he'd previously ignored but now became clear.

"Is that really the case?" Thor muttered. "No wonder..."

  No wonder Odin hadn't pursued

the matter when the Frost Giants had broken into Asgard's vault. No wonder Odin hadn't responded to the intrusion, even after knowing Thanos was causing trouble and would kill Loki and slaughter the people of Asgard in the future.

Was it because Odin had grown old?

Thor's chest suddenly felt heavy, as more and more events confirmed his point, and he couldn't calm down for a long time.

If Odin was truly killed by someone, they could still prevent it. But if Odin died of natural causes, there was no way to stop him.

Thor was in a state of turmoil.

On the one hand, he naturally didn't want Odin to die a violent death, but on the other, he also didn't want him to die of natural causes!

This entanglement, this worry, this bad premonition, plunged Thor into a state of confusion.

"Well," Tony Stark shrugged. "It seems we already know the answer."

"So, Odin might have died of natural causes, right, Thor?" Dr. Banner asked, staring at Thor with a firm gaze.

"That's a possibility. My father was certainly not young, but... it couldn't have happened so soon. It couldn't have happened so soon!"

"At the very least, my father could have lived for hundreds more years. How could it have happened so soon?"

  Thor said, a little incredulous.

"So, we can't rule out option D, nor can we confirm it," Strange shrugged. "Then let's look at another possibility. Is it more likely?"

Everyone put option D aside for the moment and turned their attention to the other three options.

"I already know about the Mad Titan Thanos. He's certainly not to be underestimated. I also met the Dark Lord Dormammu during the last round of questions. Honestly, I was pretty shocked then."

Star-Lord then spoke up, addressing everyone, "But who is this Goddess of Death Hela?"

"We only know that Hela is a very powerful deity," Dr. Banner briefly explained to Star-Lord. This

  left Star-Lord stunned.

"So, this Hela could have killed Odin?"

Star-Lord speculated. "Not just Hela, but Thanos and Dormammu, right? Everyone, it seems you have a bit more information. Do you know anything that could help us narrow down the options?"

"Regarding this question, we can only speculate at this point. It's possible that Odin died before Thanos killed Loki."

"But we can't draw any other conclusions."     "We can't confirm whether Odin died of natural causes or was murdered."

"If he was killed, there aren't enough details to determine who killed him."

"The information we have right now

is too limited," Captain America shook his head. "We can't even determine the time of Odin's possible death. That's just a guess. Frankly, I have no idea."

As Captain America spoke, everyone looked at each other, their feelings echoing.

This question truly defied all analysis.

"So, for this question, we can't make a judgment on any of the options, not even one!" Star-Lord glanced at everyone and spread his hands.

"It seems so," Tony Stark nodded. "This question is quite difficult."

  "My father cannot be killed."

"He is the King of the Gods, King of Asgard, Lord of the Nine Realms. His name resonates throughout the universe! He himself commands the awe of countless galaxies. How could he be killed?"

Thor, who had been silent until then, suddenly spoke. "You all don't know my father, but I've followed him through battles for over a thousand years. I understand his power better than any of you."

"Thanos, Hela, Dormammu—they're all powerful, yes, but they can't kill my father."

"If my father ever truly dies, there's only one possibility!"

Thor said this without further ado, simply stating his answer to the big screen. "I choose D!"

  [Correct Answer!]

The system immediately responded, leaving Thor with a mixture of emotions, unsure whether to be happy or upset.

His father's death was indeed not a violent one, but it also meant he couldn't prevent it.

"Thor, nothing lasts forever. Even gods must die one day. Be open-minded," Captain America said to Thor. "At least we know Odin had a happy ending. That's a good thing, isn't it?" "

I know," Thor nodded. "I'm fine. It's just that this news... is a bit sudden."

Captain America didn't say anything more. Thor wasn't a child; he didn't need any counseling.

[Congratulations to the answerer, Thor Odinson, for receiving the bonus skill, the Mighty Diamond Palm!]

[Reward has been issued, please check!]

Following this system notification, Thor felt something suddenly appear within him. It was undoubtedly the Mighty Diamond Palm.

Honestly, however, this skill was completely unnecessary for Thor now. With his hammer and the ability to control lightning, he had no use for palm techniques. Furthermore

, no matter how powerful a palm was, could it be as powerful as the force of thunder? Or

as powerful as a divine weapon?

Thor would only use the Mighty Diamond Palm if he was completely out of his mind.

System rewards don't always suit the answerer.

Under normal circumstances, everyone would have asked about Thor's Vajra Palm, and Thor would have even shared it without being asked.

However, at this moment, Thor had just learned that his father was dying, so he wasn't in the mood.

Everyone tactfully avoided asking about irrelevant questions.

  [Question completed, answer analysis begins!]

Soon, the system prompt sounded, and the corresponding images began to appear on the large screen in front of everyone. The

first scene appeared was a square in Asgard.

Thor, holding his hammer, questioned Loki across from him, "Where is Odin?"

It seemed that one day in the future, after Loki had finally become the king of Asgard through conspiracy and scheming, impersonating Odin, he would eventually be discovered by Thor.

"Can't you just stay away? Everything is perfect without you."

Loki spread his hands and said to Thor with a look of pain on his face, "Asgard was just as prosperous, but your appearance ruined it all."

Thor no longer had the patience to continue with Loki's nonsense. He stepped forward and pushed Loki onto a sofa.

"Where is father? Did you kill him?" Thor shouted at Loki in a stern voice.

Everyone in front of the screen also wanted to know whether Odin was still alive at this moment.

"You got what you wanted. Haven't you always wanted independence?"

Loki's voice continued, still trying to persuade Thor to leave Asgard and maintain the status quo of him as king.

But halfway through his words, Thor pressed his hammer to Loki's chest.

Loki gave in: "Alright, I know where he is."

It was confirmed that Odin was indeed alive.

Loki actually knew where Odin was.

Could it be that Odin was imprisoned by Loki somewhere?

Even if Odin was old, Loki shouldn't have been able to do that.

Everyone in front of the screen was increasingly curious about what Loki had done to cause Odin to "disappear" from Asgard, allowing him to take his place as king.

  Then the camera cut.

Thor and Loki emerged directly onto Earth across the Rainbow Bridge, arriving at a site of ruins being demolished by a bulldozer.

A sign on the ruins read: Green Garden Nursing Center.

"So Loki placed Odin in a nursing home on Earth, and then that home was demolished?"

Strange couldn't help but sigh in amazement, completely captivated by Loki's maneuvering. It was

  truly remarkable, truly outrageous.

Strange had heard of Loki's actions before, when sharing information with the other test-takers. He was a paranoid maniac starved for love, with a slightly unhinged mind.

Now he had finally witnessed it firsthand.

"I swear I left him here," Loki, now dressed in a black suit, explained to Thor with a serious expression.

"On the sidewalk, or in that building being demolished? You arranged it really well." Thor's voice was filled with immense sarcasm.

"How could I have known this would happen?" Loki argued. "I'm not a wizard. I can't predict the future."

The two brothers exchanged a few words. Suddenly, a golden halo of energy appeared around Loki.

It completely enveloped him, looking eerie.

"What are you doing?" Thor asked, bewildered.

"This is the portal Doctor Strange used!"

Everyone in front of the screen recognized it instantly, though they were also a little bewildered.

Why would a wizard attack Loki at this moment?

"It wasn't me!" Loki explained to Thor.

But as soon as he finished speaking, he plummeted into the golden portal and disappeared.

The golden halo vanished immediately, as if it had never appeared. Loki, a living being, vanished.

And on the ground where Loki had been, a piece of paper appeared.

On it was an address: 177A Bleecker Street.

There is no doubt that it was left there intentionally by the wizard who teleported Loki away, and it seems that the wizard had no ill intentions, otherwise he would not have taken the initiative to leave the address. Needless

to say, Thor quickly followed the address on the note and came to the room with a strong British style.

  Ding ding ding!

Thor raised his hand and began to knock on the door.

But as he knocked, the door in front of him suddenly disappeared. Thor staggered after knocking in vain.

Only then did he realize that the environment around him had changed. He was not on the original street, but in a hall!

  "What the hell?"

Thor looked around in confusion, with a face full of vigilance, and even ready for a fight.

As Thor was watching, he saw a man in a cloak slowly floating over from a distance.
