The convoy's arrival at Hano Medical University was met with a flurry of activity.
Security personnel guided vehicles into designated areas, while medical teams stood ready to assist the wounded. The campus, with its towering structures and advanced facilities, buzzed with urgency as personnel disembarked and began settling into their new environment.
Even though the harems were combined now, it didn't change the fact of what had just happened.
The entire group was on edge. They would be lucky if the assailants didn't find their location.
The rest of the girls from both harems started to unpack and make Hano Medical University their home. Meanwhile, Shin and Riku, accompanied by their primary team members: Rei, Misaki, Yuna, Serena, and Mina, were escorted to a secured conference room deep within the university's central building.
The room, designed for high-level meetings, was equipped with advanced communication systems and reinforced walls to ensure privacy. Japanese UW agents stood guard outside and inside the room, their presence a testament to the gravity of the situation.
They weren't taking any chances of somebody getting hurt again.
They couldn't afford to lose a Code Number.
Inside, the atmosphere was tense. The team members took their seats around the large oval table, each lost in thought. The recent ambush had shaken them, and questions about the security breach loomed large. They thought today was going to end on a high note, but it was anything but that.
Everybody eyed each other nervously until Shin spoke up.
Shin initiated the discussion, his voice steady. "We need to address the elephant in the room. Someone leaked our relocation route. The ambush was too coordinated to be a coincidence. There are powers in play we do not know of here."
Riku nodded in agreement. "Our convoy's path was classified. Only a select few had access to that information. We moved immediately as well, meaning it wouldn't have been possible to know where we were going unless it was someone within our circle."
Yuna leaned forward, her analytical mind already at work. "We should start by listing everyone who had clearance: the two of you, Serena, Rei, Misaki, myself, and the primary handlers."
Serena interjected, "I've already begun cross-referencing communication logs and access records. So far, nothing out of the ordinary, but I'll need more time."
Rei, ever the strategist, added, "We should also consider the possibility of external breaches. Hacking, intercepted communications. Nothing should be ruled out. There is a possibility there is a traitor, but there is also a possibility it was an advanced hacker who got our location."
As the team delved deeper into the discussion, analyzing data and hypothesizing scenarios, Mina sat silently, her demeanor increasingly anxious. She fidgeted with a pen, her eyes darting around the room. The team was getting closer and closer to the truth as they started to piece things together.
Finally, unable to bear the weight of her guilt, Mina stood up, her voice trembling. "It was me. I leaked the route. I'm sorry. I had no choice in the matter."
The room fell into stunned silence. All eyes turned to her, disbelief and betrayal evident on their faces. Shin simply sighed for a moment. He had a small feeling it might've been her, but it wasn't obvious until this moment.
Riku shot up from his seat, fury in his eyes. "Why, Mina? Why would you do this?!"
Mina's eyes welled up with tears. "I was approached by a representative of a secret organization. They offered me a significant sum of money in exchange for the convoy's route. My family needed the money and my job as your handler wasn't paying enough. I... I didn't think they'd actually attack. I thought they just wanted to monitor."
Shin raised his hand, signaling Riku to stand down. Riku wanted to say something, but he listened to him. Shin turned to the UW agents stationed at the door and in the room. "Leave us. All of you. Make sure to leave your weapons behind in the room. Don't worry, I'll handle this."
The agents hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances, but the intensity in Shin's gaze left no room for argument. One by one, they placed their weapons on a nearby table and exited the room, closing the door behind them. They must have a lot of trust in him.
That, or they didn't want to find out what happens when they disobey a Code Number.
Especially Code Number 6.
Shin approached Mina, his expression unreadable as he picked up a pistol and loaded it as he took off his shirt, exposing his muscular physique. "We're going to have a long conversation, Mina. You're going to tell me everything about this organization. We may even have some fun while doing so. Don't worry, I won't hurt you. I just suggest you do as I say or I'll make you scream it out in pleasure."
Mina, once confident and composed, now stood vulnerable and remorseful. She nodded slowly, bracing herself for the interrogation to come. She knew what Shin wanted out of her. Mina also knew the only way out was by giving into what he wanted. Deep down, she knew that she wanted him as well.
She started undoing the buttons of her white UW uniform, causing her to expose more of her cleavage. She pressed her thighs together and bit her lip as she seemed to try to resist Shin as a last-ditch effort.
Shin smirked as he noticed how his figure towered over her.
He noticed her pink pigtails; he was going to have some fun with this.
