The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow across the room.
Shin stirred, his arm draped over Yuna's waist as she nestled close, her breathing steady and peaceful. The events of the previous night lingered in his mind, but the serenity of the morning offered a momentary respite from all the chaos and violence.
Yuna's eyes fluttered open, meeting Shin's gaze.
"Good morning," she whispered, a soft smile playing on her lips.
"Morning," Shin replied, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Sleep well, beautiful?"
She nodded, stretching slightly. "Better than I have in a while."
They rose from the bed, moving in sync as they prepared for the day. Shin donned his usual attire, while Yuna chose a crisp blouse and skirt from her bag, her lab coat draped over her arm. Every hint of yesterday's night's activities was completely wiped.
The campus was alive with activity as they stepped outside Shin's room. The sun bathed the university in golden light, a stark contrast to the tension of the night before. They made their way down the hall and to the elevator. As the elevator descended, Shin's stomach growled, which caused Yuna to giggle for a second.
He rolled his eyes with a smile as the elevator doors opened.
At the campus café, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods filled the air. Students chatted animatedly, the atmosphere buzzing with energy. The nightmare of yesterday seemed to be fading away as the students settled into their new life. Even though having more people made it harder to coordinate things, it did provide a greater sense of community.
Rei and Misaki waved them over to a table near the window. "Over here!" Rei called.
As they settled in, Shin's eyes scanned the room, landing on Riku seated across the café, surrounded by his group. Their eyes met briefly, a silent acknowledgment passing between them. Riku gave a soft smile and waved to Shin. He did the same back to him.
Yuna handed Shin a holographic tablet as they sat down across from Misaki and Rei. "Here," she said, tapping the screen. "These are the new candidates for the breeding program. With the recent merger, we've had an influx of applicants who want to mate with you. Your options are limitless."
Shin browsed through the profiles, noting the diverse backgrounds and specialties of the women. "Impressive," he murmured. He knew he would be able to enjoy the full menu down the road. He looked up at the sky for a moment, giving a quick thanks to whatever god put him in this situation.
After breakfast, the group embarked on a new tour of the university with Riku and his group.
The gymnasium was bustling with activity, students engaged in various workouts and training sessions. Shin noticed in particular several girls doing squats trying to catch his and Riku's eye. To be honest, it was working because he couldn't help but steal a glance at their athletic bubble butts as they squatted.
Before anything could happen, the group moved to the pool area.
The pool area was serene, the water shimmering under the sunlight. Some girls were focused on training their swimming ability. Shin spotted Akira among those girls and gave her a wink as she noticed him. She blushed and continued swimming. Other girls were in a separate part of the pool in bikinis playing with each other with a beach ball. The water splashed up and down as they jumped up to hit the beach ball back to each other.
Jiggling physiques was a serious blessing.
They moved to the Common Rooms. The rooms were filled with students collaborating on various research projects, relaxing on the couches, and playing board games. Overall, it looked like a fun place to be in and to encourage community. Shin admired how the professors worked fast in mobilizing the students to learn and distract them from yesterday's events.
Doctor Yuna explained that President Momo is trying to expand and build more Common Rooms with the increase of students that arrived from the other campus. Shin mentioned he wanted to visit her.
They soon arrived at the President's office.
Aria Momo greeted them warmly, her presence commanding yet approachable.
"Welcome, everybody," she said, gesturing for them to sit. "With the recent changes, Serena and I are working together to ensure the university adapts and thrives. It isn't easy trying to manage this amount of people, much less all of them being girls who want to breed with you, but it is doable."
They then discussed plans for integration and expansion. Shin let Riku have some input on some things he wanted, even though Shin had the last word on everything if he so chose to have it. The talks seemed to be going well until the phone rang. Everybody went quiet as they looked at it.
President Momo picked the phone up, her expression shifting to one of concern.
"Yes, Director Sayuri," she said, listening intently. "Understood. We'll assemble everyone immediately."
She hung up, turning to the group. She had a serious expression on her face.
"Director Sayuri has requested our presence at the Japanese UW Headquarters. It's urgent."
The room fell silent, the weight of the moment settling over them.
Nobody knew what the future had in store for everyone.
