With a burning determination, Tianyu and Qian Renxue prepared to begin the meditation training that would awaken the angelic bloodline within Tianyu.
In the middle of a vast expanse of green grass, the golden light of the late afternoon sun gently warmed their bodies. A soft breeze blew across the field, as if nature itself bore witness to the pivotal moment that was about to reshape Tianyu's destiny.
Qian Renxue stood before him, her expression calm and resolute."The first thing you must do is awaken your angelic bloodline," she said firmly. "Only then will you be able to use this cultivation technique properly."
She guided Tianyu to sit cross-legged in a comfortable position. As he began to relax his body and mind, Qian Renxue's voice flowed softly, filled with unwavering conviction.
"Close your eyes, Tianyu," she whispered. "Clear your mind. Listen to the rhythm of your body… and feel the breath of life flowing through your blood."
Tianyu obeyed without hesitation. He took a deep breath and released it slowly. His body began to relax, and his thoughts gradually drifted away from the outside world, submerging him in deep inner silence.
"Imagine my light as a stream of warm water," Qian Renxue's voice echoed gently in his mind. "Let that light flow into you, penetrating the deepest layers of your soul. Feel the spark of your hidden angelic bloodline… and allow it to awaken once more."
At first, Tianyu felt only a faint warmth emerging in the center of his chest. A gentle, pure energy began to stir, as if responding to the call of an ancient legacy that had long lain dormant.
Long ago, when the Dragon God was torn apart, all the negative energy accumulated from the battles of the gods converged and settled into the Golden Dragon King's aspect. Unbeknownst to anyone, that dark energy had passed down through Tianyu's bloodline, secretly tainting the pure light of the angelic inheritance within him.
The angelic bloodline inherently possessed the power to purify and neutralize evil energy, but the sheer magnitude and corruption of darkness within Tianyu's blood was overwhelming. That light did not disappear—it fell. It transformed into a corrupted version of its former self, forming a fallen angelic bloodline.
Tianyu himself was unaware of this change. All he noticed was that the warmth he felt began to twist into a coldness that pierced to the bone as he delved deeper into the sensation in his chest.
Tianyu tried to stay focused, even as the chilling sensation spread through his body. He recalled Qian Renxue's instructions and struggled to remain unaffected by the growing discomfort."Feel the light," he whispered to himself, trying to ignore the creeping cold that was starting to disrupt his concentration.
"Keep going, Tianyu," Qian Renxue's voice echoed once again in his mind. "Don't let the cold stop you. Let the light flow. Let it awaken the power within you."
With renewed determination, Tianyu tried to shift his attention away from the icy pain. He imagined a golden light flowing like warm water, filling every corner of his being. He pictured that light piercing through the layers of darkness surrounding him, striving to reach and reignite the hidden angelic bloodline.
But the deeper he sank into meditation, the more he realized the light he imagined was no longer pure. A shadow followed it—lurking, hindering the light from fully shining. The chill that was once subtle now surged violently through his entire body, creating an indescribable tension.
That shadow grew stronger—until finally, it consumed the light completely.
Outside, Qian Renxue opened her eyes slightly, her brows furrowing with concern. She could sense something irregular in Tianyu's energy flow, but she didn't yet understand the full extent of what was happening. She remained still, choosing to trust in the process that was unfolding.
Suddenly, a thick and powerful dark aura enveloped Tianyu's body. The air around him trembled, and even the sunlight seemed to dim for a moment. From his back, pitch-black energy began to form a silhouette—two, four, six… until twelve wings slowly unfurled like the opening petals of a hellish flower.
But these were no ordinary angelic wings.
The twelve wings were darker than the starless night, so utterly black that even light could not reflect off them. There was no purity. No peace. Only emptiness, and a dreadful pressure that engulfed everything nearby.
Without anyone realizing it, the angelic bloodline within Tianyu had awakened—but in a distorted form. A fallen lineage. An angel that had lost its light.
Qian Renxue had momentarily raised her hand, intending to stop the process when a dark aura began to envelop Tianyu's body, forming a cocoon. But she quickly held herself back. Her expression remained calm, though her eyes revealed deep concern.
If she interrupted Tianyu now, the consequences could be disastrous. Forcibly halting the energy flow during the awakening of a bloodline could cause severe damage to Tianyu's body and soul. Even with her own power, Qian Renxue wasn't sure she could heal him. And even if she could, the recovery process would be arduous—and painful.
So, Qian Renxue chose to place her trust in Tianyu.
"Hang in there, Tianyu..." she whispered in her heart, her voice silent but full of hope. "Whatever form your power takes, I believe you can control it."
Tianyu was trapped in the darkness surrounding him, feeling immense pressure from the dark aura that wrapped around his body. In a meditative state, he tried to stay calm, even as uncertainty and fear began to creep into his mind. He didn't know what was happening, but he sensed that something monumental was unfolding within him.
With each heartbeat, the dark wings on his back grew stronger, as if they had a life of their own. Tianyu tried to recall Qian Renxue's instructions, struggling to find the light he once felt. But the shadows kept pulling him down, blocking the path to the power that was supposed to be his.
"Light...," Tianyu whispered inwardly, trying to remember the warmth that once flowed through him. "I have to find that light."
He began recalling Qian Renxue's words about how the light could flow into his body. With renewed determination, Tianyu tried to shift his focus away from the darkness surrounding him. He imagined golden light flowing like warm water, filling every corner of his body now cloaked in shadows.
"Let the light flow," he thought, trying to ignore the piercing cold. "I won't let this darkness consume me."
As he tried to rekindle the light within him, Tianyu felt resistance from the dark shadows. But he didn't give in. He kept trying, drawing deep breaths and envisioning the light growing stronger and brighter. In the process, he sensed that the dark wings on his back began to tremble, as if responding to the call of the light he was creating.
Outside, Qian Renxue observed closely. She could feel a shift in Tianyu's energy flow. Although the dark aura was still strong, there were signs that Tianyu was beginning to find strength within himself.
Tianyu continued to struggle, trying to merge the light and darkness within him. He imagined the golden light piercing through the shadows, creating shimmering sparks. In that moment, he realized that darkness was not inherently evil; it was a part of himself that needed to be accepted and understood.
With that realization, Tianyu began to feel a change. The dark wings on his back started to tremble more gently, as though they were responding to the light he summoned. In this process, he sensed a more balanced energy flow—between darkness and light.
"Yes, I can do this," he thought, his spirit reigniting. "I will control this power."
With ever-growing resolve, Tianyu continued his meditation, allowing light and darkness to interact, forming a new harmony. He felt the energy within him becoming increasingly stable, and for the first time, he realized that the fallen angelic bloodline wasn't a curse, but a power he could learn from and master.
Finally, in a moment of quiet yet profound enlightenment, Tianyu felt the golden light merge with his dark wings. The aura within him no longer clashed; instead, it flowed in a new balance—light and darkness complementing each other.
His once ruby-red eyes were now heterochromatic: his right eye glowed with a soft gold, while his left was pitch black, as if it held the endless depth of the night. His golden hair had turned silver, shimmering under the light like threads of moonlight.
On his back, twelve pairs of wings stretched out magnificently. Six on the right shone with radiant golden white, full of majesty and peace, while six on the left were jet black, gleaming like eternal night that harbored strength and mystery.
This new form was not merely a manifestation of power. It was a symbol of the harmony between two poles within him—light and darkness no longer in conflict, but united in complete balance.
