After hours of training, Tianyu felt his muscles burning and his body exhausted. However, his spirit did not wane. He knew that every drop of sweat and pain he experienced was a step toward greater strength. With burning determination, he regulated his breath and continued his training.
As the sun began to set, Tianyu felt that he had reached his physical limits. He decided to take a short break, placing the large stone on the ground and sitting beside it. He gazed at the darkening sky, feeling the refreshing breeze. In this quiet moment, he reflected on everything he wanted to learn and achieve.
His tired body seemed to remind him that the path he was taking would not be easy. Yet, that was precisely what made him more certain—every pain was proof that he was growing.
"That's enough for today, Tianyu."
The gentle voice of Qian Renxue sounded beside him. Her elegant figure appeared in a semi-physical form, her wise eyes looking at Tianyu with pride.
"Your training today was very good. Your body is starting to adapt to the golden blood, and I can sense that your body is also beginning to get used to the angelic bloodline."
Tianyu nodded, trying to hold back the soreness throughout his body. "I am still far from perfect, Sister Xue."
After resting, Tianyu walked back to the city. His steps were heavy, but his heart was light. He passed through the now-quiet market, where only a few vendors were packing up their goods. Some people glanced at him curiously, perhaps because his clothes were drenched in sweat and his exhaustion was evident.
When he arrived home, he opened the door slowly, trying not to disturb those inside. However, as soon as he entered, he saw his mother and Na'er sitting at the dining table with three steaming bowls of noodles.
The fragrant broth immediately welcomed Tianyu as he stepped inside. The gentle aroma of the noodles and boiled vegetables made his tired stomach respond with a soft growl.
"Brother Tianyu, you're finally home!" Na'er exclaimed as she rushed to him and tried to hug Tianyu.
Tianyu quickly stopped her. "Not yet, Na'er. I smell and I'm covered in sweat."
Long Ruyin smiled gently, her eyes full of affection. "Quick, take a shower, dear. I've made noodles for you."
"Okay, Mom," Tianyu replied softly, then walked toward the bathroom.
The cold water touched his skin as he began to wash his body. A refreshing feeling gradually flowed through him, washing away some of the fatigue after a hard day of training. In front of the mirror, he looked at his reflection—his eyes appeared slightly sharper than yesterday, and small muscle lines were beginning to form, not fitting for someone who was only six years old.
Although Tianyu always trained hard and often faced the scorching sun, his skin remained as white as snow, unlike someone who frequently spent time under the sun.
His finger touched his still-chubby cheek. "As expected, I am indeed cute," he said with a small smile to lift his spirits.
After putting on clean clothes, Tianyu returned to the dining room. Na'er was already waiting for him with excitement.
"Here, Brother! Eat quickly!" she said, handing him a pot full of noodles and a pair of chopsticks.
Tianyu smiled slightly, accepting the food.
Long Ruyin looked at him with a hint of concern. "Why did you come home so late today? You usually arrive by noon."
"It's nothing, Mom. I just wanted to train harder," Tianyu replied briefly but firmly.
After that, the three of them continued to have dinner together. Occasionally, one of them would engage in light conversation, making the dinner atmosphere warm and peaceful.
After finishing dinner, Tianyu quickly gathered the dirty dishes. His small but trained hands moved nimbly to clean the table.
The night grew late as Tianyu finished all the household chores. He entered the room with Na'er, who was already sleepy but trying to hold back her drowsiness.
"Na'er, I will meditate for a bit. You can sleep first," Tianyu said while arranging the pillows.
Na'er shook her head vigorously. "I want to see you meditate!"
"This will be very boring, you know. Just sitting still for hours."
"It's okay! I promise I won't disturb you!" Na'er sat cross-legged on her bed with a determined look on her face.
Tianyu smiled and then took a meditation position on the floor. He took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, allowing his body and mind to begin to relax.
After reaching a stable condition, Tianyu focused his mind and began to practice the meditation technique taught by Qian Renxue. The technique was called Zhao Tian Jue—a centuries-old cultivation method passed down through the angelic family.
This technique was capable of greatly accelerating the absorption of heaven and earth energy, far surpassing the standard meditation methods taught at the academy. However, what truly made Zhao Tian Jue special was its requirement: it could only be used by those with a sufficiently pure angelic bloodline who could awaken an Angel-type Martial Soul.
As Qian Renxue had previously mentioned, the purer one's bloodline, the greater the effect of this technique. In other words, the higher the purity of angelic blood flowing through someone's body, the faster their cultivation speed, and the stronger the Angel Martial Soul they would be able to awaken.
This level of purity could also be measured by the number of wings their Martial Soul manifested. For instance, before ascending to become the Angel God, Qian Renxue possessed a six-winged Seraphim Martial Soul. When using Zhao Tian Jue, her cultivation speed increased by nearly a hundred times compared to that of an ordinary Spirit Master. Even those with a two-winged Angel Martial Soul could experience a fivefold increase in cultivation speed compared to standard techniques. Meanwhile, those with a four-winged Angel Martial Soul could feel a 25-fold increase.
Of course, other great clans and sects also had their own secret meditation techniques. However, without a doubt, Zhao Tian Jue remained one of the most powerful cultivation techniques across the entire continent.
Tianyu could feel a subtle stream of energy flowing through his body as he activated Zhao Tian Jue. The air around him seemed to vibrate gently, as golden light particles slowly gathered, forming a beautiful spiral pattern around him. The energy of heaven and earth was drawn in rapidly, coursing through his meridians and strengthening every cell in his body.
Na'er, who had initially watched out of curiosity, was now captivated by the sight. Her sleepy eyes widened with awe.
"Big brother Tianyu... you're glowing!" she whispered, afraid to disturb his concentration.
Tianyu could feel every cell in his body trembling, as if welcoming the new energy flowing into him.
His meditation ended when the moon had already risen high in the sky. He slowly opened his eyes, his body feeling light yet filled with pure energy. As he turned, he saw Na'er had fallen asleep on the bed while sitting up, her head bobbing gently.
Tianyu smiled, then carefully lifted Na'er's small body and laid her down comfortably. He tucked her under the blanket before finally lying down on his own bed.
