The underground trading venue was indeed chaotic.
Fights were a common occurrence.
But there was one rule that must not be broken.
No firearms allowed.
Everyone followed this rule consciously.
It wasn't because the owner of the underground trading place was especially intimidating, but mainly because the place itself was shady—gunshots were loud and easily drew attention.
If no one called the police, it would be fine. But once the police were called and guns were found, everyone would be done for.
The owner of this underground venue could operate in such a place precisely because he wasn't afraid of the police, but that didn't mean he wanted the place he painstakingly built to go up in smoke.
That was the first reason.
The second reason was that without guns, even if the police were called, it would just be treated as a normal bar fight—not worth the cops' time.
Other than the no-guns rule, there weren't many others. In this place, even murder could be handled neatly for you.
When the others saw the guy pull out a knife, they got even more excited and started howling like wolves.
Of course, most were cheering for that guy.
"Kill him!"
"Shit! Kill him, bro! Spill his blood!"
"Bitch! Fuck!"
Those who got into this line of work were usually a bit messed up—addicted to blood and chaos.
Blaine was getting a bit annoyed by the noise.
"Damn it, should've asked the system if there was some website or something. Coming to a place like this, you run into all kinds of
scum."
Seeing that Blaine didn't move at all and feeling a stinging pain in his back, the guy's bloodlust surged. He gripped his knife, ready to attack Blaine.
But just then, Blaine slightly raised his head and glanced at him.
He swiftly pulled out the Elemental Bow from behind and drew three ordinary arrows from his quiver.
Three arrows nocked and drawn.
Swish—
Three streaks of white light flashed.
The razor-sharp arrows pierced through the guy's left hand, right hand, and forehead.
The immense force even pinned his body to the wall behind the bar.
Red and white fluids flowed from his forehead.
Nailed to the wall by the arrows, his pupils were wide open—even in death, he couldn't understand why he had been so easily defeated.
It sounds long, but it all happened in just an instant in reality.
After firing the three arrows, Blaine calmly walked away, not even sparing the man a second glance, completely unconcerned about the uproar he caused.
To him, killing that man wasn't even worth thinking about—it would've been a waste of time.
Besides, What could be more important than making money?
With that time, he could take a few more jobs and earn a million or so—tell me that's not sweet.
He arrived at the mission management center.
The mission management center was where you got the mission details and where the employer would be notified—contact info and all that.
The person in charge had also witnessed Blaine's display of power and now didn't even dare meet his eyes.
He handed over the mission info incredibly fast.
This task was different from the Tony-hunting mission.
The [Hunt the Shapeshifter] mission had a named sponsor.
Blaine looked at the info printed on an A4 sheet.
[Location: Beacon Hill, Boston, USA.
Mission description: Hunt down a lizard-like shapeshifter causing trouble in Beacon Hill...]
The description stated that recently, a hideous humanoid lizard creature had been seen in Beacon Hill. It had great strength, incredible speed, and a tail capable of injecting neurotoxins to paralyze victims...
Besides the location and mission description, there was also a contact method—but no name, just the contact info.
Honestly, if someone other than Blaine had picked up this mission, they would've thought the employer was either rich and dumb or just mentally challenged. After all, this wasn't the Avengers era with superheroes popping up everywhere—words like "supernatural" still sounded like fantasy to most people.
But Blaine was different. After seeing the name "Beacon Hill," he finally confirmed the thought that had been lingering in his mind.
It really was that show!
Teen Wolf!
Maybe there were some differences in the details, but overall, it shouldn't be far off.
Turns out the Marvel world included elements of the werewolf universe.
Blaine's eyes narrowed slightly: "I'll take this mission."
With that, he grabbed the info sheet and left the underground venue.
The staff member opened his mouth as if to say something but didn't dare. He only muttered in his heart, 'Boss... that was the only copy…'
Of course, Blaine didn't know that.
Even if he did, he wouldn't have cared—he was confident he could complete the mission.
After all, he had seen the show and knew what the shapeshifter was, who it was, and that while it looked strong, it didn't stand a chance against him.
Barring unexpected events, it should take less than half a day—excluding travel time—to finish the mission.
