c115: Fusion Dance
Amid the skeptical gazes of everyone present, Li Xu's figure suddenly split into two identical versions of himself.
The move was the Multi-Form Technique a lesser-known but effective technique, first seen used by Tien Shinhan, which allows the user to divide their body into separate entities. While usually used to create four copies, Li Xu had chosen to split into two, each holding half his full power.
"This kind of trick won't win against me through numbers alone," Champa scoffed, folding his arms. He had expected something more impressive and was clearly unimpressed by what he assumed was a desperate tactic.
Li Xu, however, smirked knowingly. The two identical figures moved apart and then stepped toward each other, beginning a strange and synchronized set of poses.
"Fusion... HA!!"
As their index fingers connected perfectly at the final moment, a blinding light erupted from the center of their fusion. This was the Fusion Dance, a powerful yet delicate technique introduced to Universe 7 by the Metamoran race, famously used by Goten and Trunks to become Gotenks.
When the light faded, Li Xu's fused form stood confidently his new body adorned with the classic Metamoran fusion vest, black pants, and glowing with power. His musculature had clearly increased, and the signature eight-pack abs of a successful fusion warrior were now visible.
"Well now," Vados commented, smiling with interest. "That looks quite similar to the Potara fusion technique used by Supreme Kais. This might give Lord Champa some difficulty."
"W-what?!" Champa blurted out, his expression twisting into one of shock.
The fused Li Xu shouted, and a powerful golden-red aura burst around him as he ascended to Super Saiyan 4. This form, unique to Saiyans with full tail regrowth and massive training, was now supercharged.
Unlike base fusion, which multiplies the total power of both participants, Li Xu's fusion drew from the two halves of his Multi-Form, which re-merged and then had their combined power multiplied tenfold due to the Fusion Dance amplification. The result was a warrior with ten times the power of his full base strength.
"Champa, let's get serious," the fused Li Xu smirked.
"Damn you! It's Lord Champa to you!" the God of Destruction bellowed, furious. Without waiting for Li Xu to make the first move, he vanished in a flash and reappeared in front of him, swinging a fist.
But just before the punch could land, Li Xu disappeared with instantaneous speed.
"Now it's my turn!"
His voice came from behind. Champa whipped around, only to be flicked in the forehead by Li Xu's finger, launching him across the divine courtyard like a missile.
"You brat!" Champa snarled, righting himself midair, his face red with anger. He rocketed toward Li Xu again.
BAM!
Li Xu met him head-on, driving his knee straight into Champa's gut, knocking the wind out of the destroyer.
"You're too slow!" Li Xu taunted, following up with a high-speed spinning whip kick that sent Champa crashing into the ground with tremendous force, shaking the surrounding terrain.
BOOM!
The impact sent a massive cloud of debris and divine dust skyward.
"Come on, Champa!" Li Xu called out. "This fusion won't last long—give me your best before time runs out!"
"I'll obliterate you!" Champa howled, erupting from the crater with an explosion of purple God Ki, his body surrounded by chaotic, crackling energy.
WHOOSH!
Champa's speed increased exponentially as he released more of his divine power, taking the battle seriously for the first time.
"Now we're talking!" Li Xu grinned and charged in eagerly.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The two clashed in the skies, exchanging rapid, powerful blows. Each impact shook the landscape, causing divine structures to collapse and shockwaves to ripple across the Sixth Universe's sacred grounds. The intensity of their clash caused the very air to distort.
Below, Bulma and the others were nearly knocked off their feet, the sheer force of the combat causing painful gusts of wind that stung their faces.
"Dad's ki is incredible!" Li Yi said excitedly. He couldn't sense Champa's divine ki—typical of mortals unable to perceive God Ki—but his father's massive and burning battle power surged like a roaring ocean. Compared to that, even sensing it made him feel like a powerless human standing before a tidal wave.
"Who is this Champa?" Android 18 asked, frowning. "He's insanely strong." While she was already surprised by Li Xu's raw power, she at least had a mental frame of reference. But Champa? This was the first time she'd even heard of him.
"Lord Champa is the God of Destruction of Universe 6," Whis chuckled, folding his arms with a smile. "Aside from his twin sister, Vados, he is the strongest being in their entire universe. Gods of Destruction are beings of absolute power. Even I must treat them with respect."
"I'm not sure Li Xu can beat him..." 18 muttered, narrowing her eyes as the two battled overhead.
"When Lord Champa and Li Xu finish fighting, I'm going to be stuck doing repairs," Vados sighed with a bitter expression. "All this destruction they don't even think about cleanup."
BOOM!
In the midst of the battle, Li Xu landed a clean punch to Champa's gut. The God of Destruction doubled over, eyes wide with pain. But just as Li Xu prepared to follow up, Champa's tail snapped forward like a whip and slammed into him, hurling him backward.
Li Xu somersaulted in the air, realigned, and rocketed back in front of Champa with Instant Movement, smashing an uppercut into Champa's chin.
BANG!
Champa winced but retaliated immediately with a powerful right hook. The impact sent Li Xu reeling. The two exchanged blow after blow, matching each other in raw power and ferocity a sign that Li Xu had climbed into the rarest tier of fighters.
"Looks like Lord Champa hasn't had a worthy opponent in a long while," Vados mused aloud. After activating his Law of Strength, Li Xu's battle power had surged to 160 trillion, a level placing him far above most mortals and rivaling divine beings.
"When Lord Beerus wakes up and finds out about this, I expect fireworks," Whis added with amusement. "It's not every day a mortal reaches this level of power."
"Rrraaaaagh!!" Champa let out a thunderous roar, charging a massive orb of Destruction Energy in his palms. With a shout, he hurled it toward Li Xu.
"For you!" Li Xu shouted back. With a swift spin, he kicked the massive energy sphere upward.
BOOM!
The energy blast struck a nearby celestial body, causing a monumental explosion that lit the skies with flames. Winds surged outward like a planetary typhoon. The trees, flowers, and structures in Champa's divine domain bent violently under the pressure.
"Ahh! Help!" Bulma screamed as she was nearly blown away. She barely managed to grab hold of a tree, stabilizing herself at the last second.
Seeing the mortals in danger, Whis calmly tapped his angel staff against the ground. A transparent divine barrier shimmered into existence around Bulma and the others, shielding them from the destructive force.
"Something's not right!" Li Xu's eyes widened. A moment's distraction was all it took Champa had already teleported behind him. With a mighty roar, the God of Destruction kicked Li Xu in the back.
Li Xu barely had time to cross his arms for defense. The blow landed with devastating force, sending him careening into the ground below.
CRASH!
Li Xu's body hit the ground like a meteorite. The terrain shattered like glass, spiderweb cracks stretching across the divine arena. Dust and smoke obscured him completely.
"Kienzan!" came Li Xu's voice from the cloud.
A bladed disc of ki, spinning and razor-sharp, shot from the dust toward Champa. The move was unmistakably the Destructo Disc, a classic and dangerous technique invented by Krillin, capable of slicing through nearly anything even God-level defenses.
Champa looked unimpressed. He floated calmly and sidestepped as the disc passed by.
But then Li Xu's lips curled into a grin.
The Kienzan disc suddenly vanished mid-air, teleporting short distances unpredictably.a custom variant of the technique Li Xu had developed, adding spatial jumps to its tracking. The disc reappeared behind Champa at high speed.
Champa immediately sensed the incoming threat and spun around, firing multiple beams of God Ki to intercept. He successfully obliterated several discs.
But that was the feint.
Li Xu reappeared in front of Champa and drove his knee deep into the Destroyer's gut.
"Guhhh!" Champa gasped, nearly vomiting from the impact.
Without hesitation, Li Xu reached behind Champa and grabbed his tail, spinning rapidly before releasing him like a flail.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Champa's body tore through multiple boulders and columns, demolishing them one after another. Finally, he crashed into the ground, embedding deep into the dirt as clouds of debris rose high into the sky, swallowing him whole.
