Chapter 116 - CHAPTER 116

c116: Champa Uses Destruction Energy

"Damn it, you bastard!"

Champa burst forth from the cloud of dust, his expression grim and furious. In his palm, a glowing purple sphere of condensed divine ki crackled to life it was Hakai energy, the feared Destruction Energy used exclusively by Gods of Destruction.

Li Xu immediately sensed a profound and lethal danger. His expression turned solemn. That wasn't ordinary ki—it was pure destruction, capable of erasing matter itself from existence. Even with his Saiyan-enhanced cellular regeneration and hybrid physique, a direct hit would obliterate him entirely.

"Hakai!"

Champa roared, launching the destruction sphere toward Li Xu.

"Annihilation!"

Li Xu couldn't afford to hold back. He raised his hand, condensing a silver-gray orb forged from the fusion of time energy and space energy a rare technique he'd cultivated since joining the Time Patrol Reserves.

The two divine energies clashed midair. The Hakai and the Time-Space Sphere trembled violently, pushing against each other.

BOOM!

Unable to overpower one another, the two devastating energies detonated together. The explosion was apocalyptic. Li Xu and Champa were both within range and caught in the shockwave. The force flung both warriors like rag dolls across the devastated battlefield.

"Husband!" Bulma screamed in panic as she saw Li Xu crash to the ground.

"This is bad," said Vados, calmly tapping her angel scepter to the ground. A wave of divine energy surged forth, instantly neutralizing the explosion's remnants. The shockwaves ceased, and the World of the Gods of Destruction fell eerily silent once more.

Li Xu lay in a shallow crater, bloodied and bruised, having reverted from his Super Saiyan 4 Fusion state. His aura was gone, and his gi was torn. Champa, though still on his feet, didn't escape unscathed his arms were scratched, and a streak of blood ran down his lip.

"Damn it…" Champa growled. His anger burned hotter now, no longer amused by the mortal's resilience. "I'm not done with you yet!"

"Lord Champa!"

Vados blocked his path with her scepter, her tone firm.

"What are you doing, Vados? Get out of the way!" Champa snapped, eyes still locked on the battered Li Xu.

"Look at the Time Patrol ring on his finger," she pointed out calmly.

Champa blinked. Indeed, a faint glow from Li Xu's right hand revealed a Reserve Time Patroller's insignia proof of his status within the Time Nest.

"He's with the Time Patrol?" Champa frowned, surprised. He'd fought with Li Xu for this long and failed to notice it.

"If you kill him," Vados warned, "Daikaio of Time Da Tianguan may personally intervene. You know how he is about tampering with time-space anomalies."

Champa froze. The mention of Da Tianguan akin to the Grand Priest in terms of authority within the Time Realm, and perhaps slightly stronger was enough to make him reconsider.

"Hmph…" Champa scoffed but backed off. "You're lucky."

"Li Xu," Vados turned to him now, "you've absorbed some traces of destruction energy. Let me help cleanse it before it corrodes your body."

"No," Li Xu shook his head, wincing as he stood up slowly. "It's residual. I'll use it as fuel for cultivation. Might help me get stronger."

"As you wish," Vados nodded, though slightly concerned.

Li Xu scanned his body with internal ki sense. The destruction energy had ravaged his internal meridians. Even Senzu Beans were ineffective. The divine properties of Hakai energy made healing nearly impossible without angelic or time-based intervention.

"That energy is far harder to dispel than you think," Vados observed. "Lord Champa has eliminated many mortals stronger than you with it."

"I got lucky... and cheated a little," Li Xu admitted with a wry smile. This fight had taught him that Champa's full power hovered around 1.5 quadrillion—far beyond his current limits, even post-fusion.

"That's still impressive," Vados said with a rare, genuine smile.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Champa barked, clearly irritated.

"Husband, are you alright?" Bulma flew over, gently checking his wounds.

"I'm fine," Li Xu forced a grin. "If I had to, I could still fight another 300 rounds."

"You're in no condition to even stand properly, and you're still making jokes?" Bulma scolded, cheeks puffed.

Nearby, Android 18 overheard the exchange and blushed slightly, amused by the ridiculous bravado.

"Sister," Whis said to Vados, "Li Xu wants to train in Universe 6 for a bit. I'll return to Universe 7."

"Understood," Vados replied, nodding her approval.

"Vados, I'm exhausted from the fight. I'm heading for a nap," Champa grunted.

"You just woke up from one," she reminded him dryly.

"I barely got started!" Champa grumbled as he waddled toward his chambers.

"Oh dear… He's nearly surpassed by a mortal and still refuses to train," Vados sighed, rubbing her forehead.

"Vados," Li Xu said, approaching her. "Can you teleport me to Planet Sadala? I was going to challenge Hit, but now… I need recovery time and solitude."

"You've wrecked half the God Realm, and now you want to leave?" Vados said with a teasing glare.

"Are you just trying to keep me here?" Li Xu grinned. "Could it be... you like me?"

"...That joke isn't funny," Vados replied coolly. Her face twitched faintly but only for a second.

"If you admit that you like me, I'll promise to stay in the Gods of Destruction Realm for a while..." Li Xu teased, growing increasingly bold after his last successful banter. The close calls and power he displayed against Champa had inflated his confidence.

"Then you'd best leave," Vados replied coolly, not rising to the bait. "And leave me here to clean up your mess."

Before Li Xu could utter another word, Vados tapped her angelic scepter against the ground. Instantly, a burst of divine multicolored energy enveloped Li Xu and his companions, lifting them into the air. The light streaked through the void, swiftly carrying them across Universe 6.

As the glow faded, Vados stood silently, eyes lingering in the direction Li Xu had vanished, her expression unreadable. What exactly she was thinking, not even the Grand Priest could guess.

Meanwhile, Li Xu and the group soared through hyperspace at incredible speed, heading directly for Planet Sadala, the homeworld of Universe 6's Saiyans.

"What a completely unreadable woman," Li Xu muttered, slightly exasperated.

"I'll get to see Caulifla and Kale again!" said Li Yi, practically vibrating with excitement. He admired Caulifla's ferocity and Kale's quiet strength.

"Brother, you know Caulifla didn't even show up to say goodbye last time you left, right?" Bra reminded him bluntly.

"I've already forgiven her. With her wild nature, she probably just forgot." Li Yi shrugged. Given Caulifla's impulsive personality as seen in the Tournament of Power, her behavior didn't surprise him.

Roughly twenty minutes later, the group began descending toward Planet Sadala, their arrival cushioned by divine ki.

"There are so many Saiyans here!" Android 18 remarked in amazement. It was her first time visiting this version of Sadala, and the thriving warrior race left a strong impression.

"Although the two universes mirror each other in many ways," Li Xu explained, "Universe 6 Saiyans never lost their planet. They've multiplied far more than our Universe 7 counterparts. They also retained their original mission as galactic peacekeepers."

"Let's go back to the place we stayed last time," Li Xu continued, guiding them toward the outskirts of Sadala's capital a quiet area near the training grounds Caulifla used.

"Mm-hmm." Bulma nodded. It was here, after all, that she gave birth to both Li Yi and Bra, during their extended mission in Universe 6.

"Dad, let's go see Caulifla and Kale first!" Li Yi said with visible eagerness, already sensing familiar energy signatures.

"They might not be at home," Li Xu warned. "Once we settle in and let our energy flow, they'll sense us and come on their own."

"True," Li Yi chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "They always follow the strongest ki signature like moths to a flame."

"Alright, let's get moving," Li Xu said, and the group took to the sky again.

Despite his injuries from the battle with Champa, Li Xu was still able to fly, though his aura was notably dimmed and flickering. Within minutes, they arrived at the small clearing where they had previously made their base.

"I really missed this place," Bulma said softly. It was here, far from Earth's chaos, that she'd experienced one of the most peaceful and fulfilling times of her life.

Boom!

Li Xu tossed a Capsule Corp. universal capsule to the ground. With a puff of smoke and a flash of blue light, it expanded into a modest but well-equipped house the same one they had used during their last stay on Sadala.
